>Sounds like you live in a total fucking shithole too, I recommend moving.
It's fine, charming even, but the neighbours leave something to be desired.

>That sounds terrible.
It's suboptimal.
Water goes out now and then too but that's easier to deal with.

>What grains, beans, or roots are affordable there and which do you enjoy most?
I can get almost any European staple if I shop for it, I have loads of Bulgur because it's easy to cook and I figured I might throw it into soup or something. German staples are easy to get too.
Buckwheat is everywhere but I'm not a big fan.

>Wait, if you’re interested in jambalaya, then other rice dishes are in the table right?
>They just have to be in the same pot?
Yep, that's the basic requirement.
Though jambalaya might use a load of gas which wouldn't be ideal.

>Chapati

>Tortillas
Not a bad idea, there's an Indian import store that will have some sort of instant chapati I think.

>Where do you live, OP? Ukraine?
Yep.

>Avgolemono is tasty and it's simple enough to make
Yeah, that's a good idea.
There's a Georgian chicken soup that is very similar, picrel
I haven't tried this technique before but it sounds easy enough to learn.

Nah, I came here to help out. Only last winter I lived on Vareniki and Pelmeni and it wasn't very healthy, I want to do this winter better.
