If I want to write a story for a game where you can rape someone on a whim, I should be able to do that. Would it get scorn? Yes, but there's mods for The fucking Sims that do this right now. Mental health doesn't need to be handled delicately. Race shouldn't NEED to be handled delicately (Metaphor's plot literally centers around open discrimination and people calling you slurs). A brash, insensitive, upsetting story in itself is art if it can get the message across. You can't opt for freedom of expression and get pissed when people show what they wish to express.

The author can do what they want but it doesn't make them exempt from criticism. Sorry but a lot of media is garbage, they have the right to make it but it doesn't make it not shit.

Stop talking to me as if I need to take the context of the game as the rules for the real world. "Corpo doesn't care about your feelings in the game" is not an equivalent to the writers of the game. If they come out and say they just wanted to make shock content, fine. They are allowed to do that.

There's ONE woman in the story and she gets raped and pregnant, sorry, that's a shitty story to me. I like other parts of the game, I love the art and character designs, but the handling of the rape is ass.
