People should be made fun of for using their phones. Phones are a shitty interface for anything remotely complex. For instance I had the misfortune of working for online retailers as the switch occurred where online shopping went from 100% computer to 20% phone/tablet then 30, 40, 50 and now 60% phone/tablet use. And it doesn't matter how much money you invest in UI/UX consultants, nobody has figured out how to make the phone interface experience good enough. What do I mean, when people use phones ALL the time to do stuff? Quite simply it's about purchasing. People on computers would browse a website, add some stuff to their cart, check the related products, clink links in the sidebars for sale/discount shit, etc. But you can't fit any of that shit on mobile and simply browsing a list of products is more than can be comfortably handled. End result is mobile users go to a site to buy a thing, search for it, find it, buy it, move on. Meanwhile desktop users are still volume buyers. Means in real terms we need FAR more mobile users to account for the loss in sales caused by phones being a shitty way to browse.>>102268516

About half of them live each conversation on the edge of snapping into anger at the smallest verbal misstep, so we're all super careful to be nice and not do any kind of small talk with them. They constantly complain that they can't use headphones and have asked multiple times if it would be okay if they "just" used them when they're doing X or Y, and when they're told no they storm away or look like they're going to cry. Plenty of them are androgynous as hell, girls with shaved heads and guys with long colored hair. Some of the girls come in wearing sweat pants and yoga pants with dressy shirts and we need to explain that they need to wear real pants and they slam things and get huffy.
