I fix navigational and ILS equipment. It is a super chill job that pays good.
One of my sites is a VOR out in a farmer's field in Assgrab BFE.
These cows DESPERATELY want to get in there and rub on the building because it is stucco and they're addicted to scratching on shit like that.
One day I forgot the gate into the VOR area *AND* the door to the building. The cows were on the other side of his pasture so I didn't think they were going to move so fast.
I'm all engrossed in the computer and running a test when I felt someone looking at me.
Turn around and a young cow has their head in the building looking at me.
I yell, "Hey get out!"
She took it as, "Let's play chase!" and did a little happy hop.
She took off and started running around the VOR in circles with me chasing.
Finally I got her out and she expected me to keep chasing her, but I just closed the gate.
She looked at me all sad like, so I hit the test which takes like 20 minutes and chased her for a while.
Every time I go back now and she sees me, she is waiting at the gate for some chase time or free grass and now she is a big ass cow.
If I'm standing somewhere she likes to come up from behind me and put her head under my armpit and get scratches.
This video always brings me a smile. Dude is beyond happy.
