Seven years ago I dropped the first book in this series when I got to a part where some "suave" guy was hitting on a girl in a library by standing on a desk and making a scene. Never felt more embarrassment reading a book. Big virgin vibes.

The beginning of GRRM's series is wonderfully written, when they are beyond the wallthere are so many better fantasy novels/series out there than this fucking trash. the only reason this dude is even discussed is because of recency bias and the gradual decline in literary standards. if you're a 27 year old zillenial manchild who thinks in terms of video games and has never read a book by an actual author who had some life experince and wasn't an absolute autist then Stormlight must read like Dostoevsky but to anyone who actually reads it is complete ass.
