If I remember the procedure right for back then as described in the how to make terrain book, it was a board covered with fine grit sand painted green, possibly drybrushed yellow then covered with flock.
We've come a way in terrain making tech, as more materials have become widely available and techniques refined. Though honestly I still prefer the look of a flocked board over a printed mat.>>94630459

Not really, skin is done better and gun is weathered, it's a mixture of more complex techniques done fairly well.
