Ririkuru is a franchise that started out as a series of drama CDs but then went on to get a visual novel which was picked up and translated by Mangagamer.

That's a good question. Obviously the two choices are starting with the drama CDs or with the VN. I would recommend the former, as the VN doesn't really bother with introducing the characters too much. Unfortunately of the drama CDs relevant to the VN only half are translated - Vols 1, 2 and 3. Translated by anons from /u/ I might add as somehow Mangagamer figured they don't wanna bother. 4, 5 and 6 remain untranslated but there are sequel CDs to Vols 1-2-3 that cover Winter and Summer activities of the three couples and those CDs are translated.
If you plan to start with VN I strongly suggest to listen to the drama CDs when you hit relevant story events in the VN - each couple has their own and they share the title with the drama CDs.I'm gonna have to play this game, I know it supposedly isn't very good, but still, it deserves it.This is like buying a new cat the day after your 15 year old cat you had since you were a baby died.>>3649128
