On top of this, he replaces God/Jesus in the minds of children who grow up in semi religious households. This is the much more nefarious part of Santa Claus in my opinion, because ultimately he destroys children's belief in God

It's not even subtle, he literally exists to replace God/Jesus in the minds of children who live in lukewarm Christian households, and when they find out he isn't real, their faith in God is often shattered as well, creating a new generation of atheists.
