Animation experiment, modeled a bedroom for my character/persona Defiant Snow set in a cyberpunk future. I wanted to try and animate using music for future projects so I put together some animated nulls and constraints together with one of YouTube's provided audio clips. Arm animates different than how I'd have preferred but by the time I got to that problem I was tired of trying to match up rotations to the constraints. Overall very successful learning experience, looking forward to future projects with my own music or others I have a deeper connection to. Really happy with how the set has turned out and already using it for personal projects.
I've been sharing the WIP renders of the room on my other platforms, I'll share more here if I use it to create any NG appropriate renders not already featured in this video.
Lore: For those that are interested, DefiantSnow is my persona created based on the concept of what if my brain was transferred to a cyborg body in the future. This is the body or at least the current body transferred to which you can see strung up with cables and wrapped in caution tape. beside it on a pedestal connected to some tubes is a life support system holding DefiantSnow's brain held outside the body as its being worked on. Not one to let a cyborg body be the end of their evolution, they also experimented with the technology to copy one's brain into a AI construct. Though, this was likely not originally their choice as they work for the megacorporation FinTech who had intended to use this technology to upload the best of their call center's agents brains into a call center cloud so they would be able to use the AI copies to staff their call centers with the best agents forever, probably at little to no pay lets be real. Whether it was these copies or copies DefiantSnow experimented with on their own, DefiantSnow's AI clones went awry. Many embraced core personality traits or niche interests. Some horded art on company servers they collected from the web, others created their own forms of art, and most egregiously some embraced their interest in cyberpunk as a genre, gaming, and maybe a little social justice and fought back against the megacorporation including FinTech. As a result DefiantSnow was brought before the corporation and essentially fired. Featured within this scene we have a robot on the bed that has several of the AI locked inside. Servers are setup next to the bed providing stability and connection for other AIs. It was a particularly overbearing AI with questionably motherly elements to it that locked DefiantSnow outside their body and is busy repairing or altering the cyborg frame. Another AI is locked in what is functionally the stuffed animal on the bed's left eye. As you can see DefiantSnow and their copies have complicated and sometimes conflicting relationships.
Assets: Eventually I'd like to share some of the assets, but I don't know if people would just want them as is and retexture them themselves as needed or if I should clean off stickers etc. so I haven't yet put together a file that can be downloaded. Feel free to let me know if you're an artist and want either the 3d models or any of the stickers featured in this video and your preference.
