Chicken Little Rehatched ShotsE

More than a year ago, I participated in a reanimated collab of Chicken Little, one of the biggest guilty pleasure movies from my entire childhood (and the biggest guilty pleasure movie made by Disney, period), as an opportunity to flex my animation muscles.

Here are the two shots I chose to recreate for the project. Both of them are from the scene in the film where Chicken Little joins his school's baseball theme, are they were done in Adobe Animate. In my humble opinion, the choppy animation of these shots perfectly matches the unintentionally bizarre nature of the original. Not only are they designed to look much worse than the dated computer animation and ridiculously fast pace, they also add a sort of charm to the whole movie for those who tend to view it from a very "so bad, it's good" perspective (which, of course, is how a lot of people these days prefer to see it).

I was very honored to contribute to this incredible project! For a Disney fan production, it sure did require a ton of ambition. Getting to share the parts I animated here on Newgrounds feels like a great way to close an otherwise tumultuous and controversial year. And I would like give a very special "thank you" to Andrew Goodguy, the fine lad who supervised the whole collab, for allowing me the chance to improve my skills as an animator and take them to a whole new level!
