Scary Terry is awakened by a scratch on his window. Once awakened, he cannot fall back asleep until he reads a rotten rhyme. He chooses the putrid passage of Mr. Shook. In this horror story Jack steals a book and is tormented by the evil spirit that comes out of it and into him, Mr. Shook. When it all ends, the same gruesome ghost comes to haunt scary Terry, but he is not so easily tricked.
