"And despite her taking my first lover away from me. I can't say i truly hate her. It taught me a important lesson about love. Ironic in hindsight considering my mother did this to prove to me that love wasn't actually real." Aphros told her daughter Devilla with a smile that said nothing and everything.
"Mother, i'm so sorry you had to go through that." Devilla said with sympathy and new understanding.
Aphros laughed bitterly. She remembered one night where she was with Devilla's father Apollo in the bed of Malakai (the God of Metal who she was dating at the time,) and during the height of passion she saw him looking at them on the bed from the doorway, reminding Aphros of a younger her. Afterwards she went to the mirror to fix her hair and saw her own mother staring back at her with a knowing smile. She shattered the mirror without any words. Another thing for Malakai to fix.
Love is real....It's just a lot more complicated than people give it credit for." Aphros told her daughter with a sad smile.
