Well this was a long time in the works. I had initially wanted to complete this back in November 2024, when the annual Sonic Twitter Takeover did a Sonic x Shadow Takeover and this particular audio clip caught my interest. I churned out the character designs and lip sync in a week, but for personal reasons, I put the project on hold. I tried to revisit it a couple of times in 2025 and gradually built out the rigs, but again, none of these ever resulted in a finished product. Finally, I decided to commit to completing this animation once and for all, so I redid the rigs, went through a lot of troubleshooting to get the type of movement and hand gestures I wanted, and now it's finished. 1 year and 9 months might be the longest production time I've had for an animation, at least from something I already started a long time ago, but I hope you all enjoy it.
