Introduction:

Attention! This is an emergency message to all invaders. Stay far away from planet Chromus. Milky Way, galactic longitude 317.9°, latitude -42.6°, distance 22.84 kiloparseks.

Our colony mission was to retrieve and export a mysterious energy dense element now defined as Chrome Oil.

We have abandoned this mission.

Chrome oil is an adaptive element that modifies its structure to bond with the substances it comes into contact with.

Humanity was excited to exploit this

function to create regenerative

medicines, tools, and weapons. The

insidious spread of progress was

unstoppable. Every inch of Chromus

became polluted with mutated Chrome Oil.

Immortality was achieved, but with no

off switch, no way to control the

evolving mass. Sentient human brain

matter bonded with the walls and tools

of our world, and death became a rumor.

When somebody dies on Chromus, they

simply melt… as their mind is repaired

constantly, neverending, conscious

suffering. Nobody understands what

Chromus has become. We've lost our galactic values… and the only thing we have left to hope for… is mercy.

Please… have mercy on yourself, and STAY. AWAY. FROM CHROMUS.
