Set decades into the future, where overpopulation has become a humanitarian crisis, the government of an unnamed country deploy a system to determine a persons' worth in society through random "assessments." Those who fail these evaluations vanish, never to be seen again. We follow Parker Lacueva, an aspiring artist called up for his first official assessment where he will experience the most terrifying, nerve-wracking night of his life.
