This is a real-time synesthesia simulation of Forgotten Dawn's track "Elysian Trails." All of the visuals were created within Tendril, the VR rhythm game and synesthesia simulator we're developing here at Tendrilab. We ran a few experiments with this one - mainly to see if it would be possible to create an environment with just brush strokes. Much more experimentation to come! This animation was made in just 3 hours. Tendril is intended to become a 1:1 replication of the way I experience audiovisual synesthesia.

In VR, the FOV is much wider than what this video shows, it runs at a much higher FPS, and the colors are more accurate. But - this is already a pretty good representation of what the engine is currently capable of. We have a roadmap with 80+ tasks ahead of us, including new features, necessary systems, QOL improvements, and known bugs. We've spent the last month and half overhauling the UI in preparation for Patreon early access.

AI was not and will not be used in the creation of Tendril. The random black squiggles through everything is an anti-AI training watermark that will not be present in the final release of the game. This video was taken in VR to reduce trainability as well. Attempt to train off of our videos and/or early access builds and publish a lookalike - we have ways of knowing and we will take action.

We're aiming to release the first early access build through Patreon later this month.
