In late 2023, Team Lewd the Newt (Studio RGB-Newt / The Fishal Project's NSFW 18+ content division) commissioned fellow Australian @Toxitoxus to produce an NSFW animated short film based on our unpublished webcomic (The Aussie Goldmine) about a down-on-his-luck kangaroo named Gerald Symons who wants to make the world a better place, and the ghost of an emu named Aurora Australis, a celebrity of stage and screen that died during the "Great Emu War" in the 1930s (approx. 90 years ago from this post. yes, such a war actually happened in real life, look it up!), who got accidentally unleashed from her eternal slumber when Gerald struck open a crystal geode. This is that short film, and the quote at the end of Aurora reassuring Gerald that he was "helping out a friend" is related to his endeavours in making the world a better place, as mentioned a sentence or so ago.

Now some of you may wonder why she carries around a shard of the geode, why she needs it charged in the first place, and why sex is of any help. Well, consider this short film a precursor to an upcoming series that answers those questions titled The Aussie Goldmine: Explicit Edition, which will feature 8 additional episodes of longer length starring these characters, 2D hand-drawn animation, 3D backgrounds utilizing Unreal Engine 5, and more. Episode titles include "Go for Gold!", "The Japanese Jasmine" and "Waltzing Aurora", among others, so look out for those next!

In the meantime, we hope you enjoy this short! Thanks for watching!
