[Letter from the External Species Diplomacy]

To Successor Nick...

Here is the response to your inquiry regarding "The Dietary Habits of Orcs."

As you are aware, Orcs primarily consume meat.

Their appetite often cannot be satisfied with livestock like cows and pigs,

nor even with monstrous beasts.

It seems that if something has legs,

they will try to eat it—perhaps with the exception of tables... or maybe not.

Recently, we have discovered that they consider green insects,

often found in dark, shadowy forests, to be a delicacy.

Yes, those very bugs you sometimes spot in the gloom of dense woods.

Four legs may not have been enough for them—can you imagine deciding to eat such creatures?

Their boldness (or, more aptly, their foolishness) astonished our research team.

Their savage and crude dietary habits, as you are well aware, also include humans.

As you well know, multiple incidents involving Orcs are reported each year.

“Know your enemy and know yourself, and you will not be imperiled in a hundred battles.”

We appreciate your curiosity and dedication to understanding the ecology of your adversaries.
