The ends of thousands of stories bring the start to a handful more. After inexplicably surviving the climax of the war over the artifact. Bob began to aimlessly wander the wasteland of what once was the already colorless battlefield, seemingly without a goal for once. However, Bob quickly learns that the wasteland he found himself may be empty, but not devoid of life.

Bob is a survivor of a war over an artifact said to give the user power comparable to that of a god. The war was fought over by factions to obtain its power for their own purposes. Bob's faction was based around taking it so nobody could use it for good or evil. In the final moments of the war, the artifact self-destructed itself with the power of what could be described as a small nuke. Killing hundreds of thousands of soldiers and crippling every faction leaving low survivors, with most directly engaging in combat being reduced to reanimated corpses known as "Cindermen" due to a chemical released upon a Blightian's death.
