An animation where Eclipse comforts Stardust

hi new animation lawl. I've decided to share all the juicy details about this animation here since the person I was dating (and my mom or stepdad) doesn't use Newgrounds. This animation was going to be shorter and to test the VHS filter on davinci resolve but I've decided to make it longer to make it more personal. I could have made it even longer but I didn't want to take even longer to finish it. I think i've worked on it for almost two weeks? One week or animating and a few days for editing it. (I'm still very new to davinci resolve) This animation is about a breakup I had with someone I loved very much, I still have those feelings and I'm still trying to get over them, even if we only dated for almost four months. I'm better now but those feelings are still all over the place. I feel like a mess especially since I'm far away from home. (I'm in Argentina rn i want to goo hoommee) I've also added a lot of orange and pinks in the backgrounds as a little nod to these characters being LESBIANS. I've tried adding lesbian flag colors in the VHS filter and backgrounds because the person I was dating is a women and during that relationship I've finally accepted myself as a lesbian. I've never felt so happy or free in my LIFE. If there was one thing I could take away from that relationship is this person helping me accept myself for I've been this whole time. Those ten years of feeling shame ans guild are finally gone and have turned into pride and joy. Even if me and this person are just friends now I'm happy we dated because if we didn't I feel like I could still be in denial of the fact I like women. Eclipse (the armarouge) was one of the first lesbian characters I've made, originally she was this boy crazy character but once she had her redesign I made her a lesbian. (I'm not 100% sure when i made her a lesbian) I love Eclipse so much. The Ceruledge (purple one) is my pokesona. She was designed by the person I was dating at the time, before we were dating my friend commissioned me to design her an armarouge sona so I did, later when we were dating I thought it would be cute if I commissioned the person I was dating to design me a ceruledge sona (I always wanted a ceruledge pokesona but didn't know how to go about it) now it's sorta hard to detach Stardust from the person I was dating. That's the reason why I choose Eclipse to be with Stardust instead of any other ocs, just so there could be that armarouge/ceruledge relationship thing going on. Also just so Eclipse could comfort me in a way. The reason why they are on the beach is because a year after the most traumatic event in my life, my stepdad took me and my mom to the beach, at the time I haven't been to the beach in years, maybe even over a decade, so I've associated being at the beach with healing, growing, and moving on. It was sorta weird that last year I was crying so loudly and not thinking straight to being at the beach enjoying a sunny day the next year. Also the reason why I picked 14 as something important is because 14 is my unlucky number, the traumatic event happened on the 14th and my girlfriend breaking up with me happened on the 14th. When I was at the beach again with my mom and stepdad our room was 2014 and it had bedbugs in it and we had to move which was stressful (AND IN THE SAME ROOM I BURNED MY HAND) I fully believe 14 is my unlucky number. Well I had so much fun doing the VHS filters! The everything else was not as fun....well Merry Christmas and Happy new year! Hoping for a better 2025. *shivers*

A Tribute to the American Spirit! Lustgard Animation - nr.15 - 2024 Man you folks sure know how to throw a party.I’m thrilled to share my latest animation, Njorijanna takes center stage once again, standing proudly on the trunk of a Cybertruck, as the summer breeze sweeps through her hair, (outside my window, there is snow...)This piece is a heartfelt homage to the American spirit, a force that has inspired me deeply throughout my life.Growing up in Norway in the late 80s, my childhood was profoundly shaped by Western culture. From the Amiga and supersoakers to unforgettable 90s movies, computer magazines, iconic music, and even commercials/ads—everything about it felt larger than life. It left a lasting impression, one I’m still grateful for today. I even owned a third gen Camaro, living a little piece of that dream. This animation also celebrates a moment of optimism for the USA, a country I believe has the potential to restore itself to its former glory. While I can’t afford a Cybertruck (yet!), I built one in 3D for this project, partly as a nod to Elon and the platform he owns Twitter/X, where so many of you came to know Lustgard.I hope this piece resonates as a celebration of resilience, freedom, and the enduring influence of a country that has its flaws but remains a source of inspiration. Thank you, brothers and sisters from across the pond, for everything you’ve given me. Here’s to better days ahead! A special thank you to YNArts3D for the incredible M60 model, to my brother for playing a beautiful rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner on his guitar, and to Ray, Hal, Walt and Monty for expertly mixing the sound and foley effects. Your contributions brought another level this animation, and I couldn’t have done that part without you! Disclaimer from the Sound Team.Hal, Ray, Walt, and Monty—the brilliant minds behind the sound design—want it noted that they do not endorse the use of the iconic screech attributed to the American bald eagle in this video. As loyal supporters of the American Birding Association, they feel obligated to point out that the sound used is, in fact, from a red-tailed hawk. While they acknowledge it was chosen purely for its iconic status, they insist on making it clear that they objected to this bird-based creative liberty. Rest assured, any inaccuracies here are purely for entertainment value (and a little wink to tradition). - Alluringsteed

Cast--------Lillie - Maganda Marie Yumi - Janey Gemmell Music and SFX------------------------Epidemic Sound Ending theme - "In Vain" by Romaro feat. Mia Niles Assorted backgrounds-------------------------------------fluffness Text Box--------------Lalá draws Here we are with Episode 4! Just like how Episode 3 was the last entry to use VN narration segments, Episode 4 is the last to feature the traditional Visual Novel style with static sprites and backgrounds. This episode was the first to feature animation for the show upon its initial release as well. Now the characters can blink, breathe, move, and do creepy head turns when they get into a mood. I remember when I first discovered how to make the animations. Maganda (Lillie) and I were speaking together with Janey (Yumi) about working on future episodes. Maganda and I were getting a little concerned about the static VN appearance, so I mentioned that there was indeed animation within the character studio to experiment with. With it, we could alter character poses a little bit better, add body movement, and even mouth flaps for dialogue. Within a week of playing around with the studio -- and making Lillie do a couple of martial arts moves -- I was able to make simple animations for our pivotal scenes of Lillie's monologue, Yumi's dress up scene, and the final scene with Lillie reminiscing about her day. It was a pretty good first step that got us to Episode 5 and onwards. It's a little rough looking back, but it was the start of something very promising. Thanks to experimenting, the entire look of the show changed and a world of possibilities opened up. This is one of my favorite episodes for that reason as well as for the story presented. Yumi is such a dynamic character and she's the key to the very small transformation that started in Lillie's heart. We'll definitely see more of her as the series progresses and I sincerely hope you look forward to it. She has a special episode down the line, now that we're talking about it~. Thank you very much for watching and I hope you enjoy this latest episode to hit Newgrounds! See you next week for Episode 5!
