Krazoa Palace Encounter

This was an animation I decided to make. Just another reminder, "Julian Do" is an alias of mine. Fun Facts:I animated it entirely in Blender. I would have done the editing (aside from audio recording) completely in Blender as well but I had problems with audio in the Blender video sequencer so I had to use Clipchamp to assist in editing.I colored this completely without fill tool. That won't be the norm, it's just something I ended up doing as a for-fun challenge thing. Pretty sure the previous animation I uploaded here may have used fill tool.I recorded the sounds with my mouth. That won't be the norm either obviously. Spore MOD showcase: Reno - Primary Star feat.初音ミク【MMD】dance ft. Black Oni

I'm so excited to announce that the final dance effect before the publication of my Spore MMD mod is finally finished! After this I will be updating the rest of the dances in this mod with the latest syntax and techniques and it will finally be ready for publish! This time we have Primary Star by Reno and I'm very happy with how this dance effect turned out. My favorite aspect of this dance effect code is how I was able to use arrayCreate syntax to create the animated floor from indivisual tiles/cubes as well as the engine/halo of the stage. Here I'm also experimenting with the color splitting filter combined with particle-based distortion screen filter. Additionally, the subtitle code has also been reduced significantly with the help of arrayCreate. Overall it's been a pleasure working on this project and I truly appreciate all those who helped me testing this mod out, and Dragon, who is not only responsible for the imports of all these assets, but also a supportive friend! :3 Credits:- Song: Primary Star - <a href="https://www.youtube.com/@RenoOfficial" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow"> @RenoOfficial </a>- Motion: mobiusP (Dance: nullpon1215)<a href="https://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm40352087" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">https://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm40352087</a>- Camera: <a href="https://www.youtube.com/@TheSodaWave" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow"> @TheSodaWave </a><a href="https://www.deviantart.com/thesodawave/art/Primary-Star-Camera-DL-931061604" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">https://www.deviantart.com/thesodawave/art/Primary-Star-Camera-DL-931061604</a>- Asset import and conversion: I-am-thedragon <a href="https://github.com/I-am-thedragon" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">https://github.com/I-am-thedragon</a>- Stage, effect and design: me <a href="https://www.youtube.com/@RamoneKemono" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow"> @RamoneKemono </a> The texture settings I used for this creation:prop skinpaintGlossMultiplier 1.3prop skinpaintPhongMultiplier 4prop skinpaintBumpHeight 3prop skinpaintTextureSize 8192 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ New creation preview every week in channel header art. Rojo En El Bosque - Teaser (Loop)

This example shows the use of Pixel Bender to dither an image in Flash.

Abstract:Adobe Pixel Bender was created by Adobe Systems and released in 2008. It was initially added to Adobe Flash Player 10, which was the first version to support Pixel Bender-powered filters and effects. However Adobe began to shift its focus towards other technologies and deprecated Pixel Bender in favor of move time and effort into the Stage3D and AGAL. The specific date of obsolescence may vary based on Adobe's updates and announcements, but generally, it fell out of active use in the mid-2010s. I do recall working with pixel bender kernels a little bit, Away3D made really good use of them before Stage3D and other Flash Player 11 commodities were added. A friend of mine would use the kernel for large data processing since the filters and sharers would run asynchronously, with the proof of concept resembling OpenCL usages. NOTE: I could not get Adobe Pixel Bender Toolkit running in Windows 10 or 11, I had to use VirtualBox to emulate Windows 7. Controls: <ul><li>None</li></ul> Bugs:<ol><li>

SmoothWare (A WarioWare Parody!)

The "Basic Shading" example for Flash with the Away3D 4.1.6 framework

Abstract:Away3D was another open-source 3D framework forked from Papervision3D developed and used for Flash in 2007 until it was discontinued in 2014. The history surrounding this framework is absolutely impressive. They have their own model format, their own builder software, and Adobe incorporated the framework into the Adobe Gaming SDK in 2013. Unlike Papervision3D, Away3D 4.x fully supports 3D rending via Stage3D. Meaning most of the 3D graphics on screen is rendered using the GPU. This frees up a lot of CPU compared to Away3D 3.x and especially 2.x and Papervision3D. For whatever reason I couldn't get Away3D Lite working. This could be because `Matrix3D` `pointAt()` isnt fully supported? As well as a lot of other fash.Geom code that isnt supported, though it should be. Mabey its the events that I'm missing. Ill see what's compatible with what version of Ruffle in the meantime. Controls: click and drag to move the world to see objects. Bugs:<ol>
<li>Away3D Statistics seem to now show the graph properly, as well as show `Dummy` for the GPU driver. May come in use to detecting Ruffle or Flash.</li>
<li>Away3D Statistics also seem to not display the ram usage</li>
</ol> EDIT: I have an old version of Ruffle, the bug listed is no longer valid<blockquote>The graphics are extremely pixelated, the graphics doesn't appear to use any Anti-Aliasing like the Newground Player uses or Flash 11-32 uses</blockquote> Performance:Platform: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10875H CPU 2.30 GHz (Intel64 Family 6 Model 165 Stepping 2) with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Super with Max-Q Design Newgrounds Player:<ul>
<li>20.9~21.6 CPU%</li>
<li>0 GPU% (Note: the Newgounds Player does not use any GPU, instead opting all 3d graphics to be drawn via software rasterization hence the high CPU percent.)</li>
<li>43.8 MB Ram Usage</li>
<li>FPS: 60</li>
</ul>Flash 11.8 r800 (32-bit):<ul>
<li>1.0~1.4 CPU%</li>
<li>7.6~8.5 GPU% (GPU-1)</li>
<li>30.2 MB Ram Usage</li>
<li>FPS: 60 (seems to be locked, even after editing the stage framerate to be higher)</li>
</ul>Flash 32:<ul>
<li>1.3~1.65 CPU%</li>
<li>10.5~12.0 GPU% (GPU-1)</li>
<li>34.6 MB Ram Usage</li>
<li>FPS: 60 (seems to be locked, even after editing the stage framerate to be higher)</li>
</ul>Ruffle (Windows Port):<ul>
<li>11.6~12.5 CPU%</li>
<li>38.4~40.1 GPU% (GPU-0, I've tried every single NVidia setting I could not get Ruffle to use the RTX2080)</li>
<li>201.8 MB Ram Usage</li>
<li>FPS: 120</li>
</ul>Ruffle (Web port)<ul>
<li>13.1~15.2 CPU%</li>
<li>7.0~7.8 GPU% (GPU-0, Based off of the graphics card of the browser?)</li>
<li>206.3 MB Ram Usage (Loaded with the Newgrounds Portal, this is not accurate for Ruffle but IRL Webpages)</li>
<li>FPS: 13~28</li>
</ul> Todo:Double check compatibility with Away3D 3.x and 2.x, it seems as if 4.x works better on Ruffle due to the dependence on Stage3D instead of AS3. Credits:<ol>

Final Fantasy - Code Erection

a tribute to things that won't exist unless they do

MOBILE USERS this thing seems to really choke on mobile, so maybe don't even try Some things in this film that you can't do in a standard video player: Unknown runtimeNo rewinding, no skipping aheadExtremely dense patterns that would get destroyed by video compressionMoiré effects that change if you mess with the zoom setting on your browserEffects that change depending on if you're using flash player or RuffleAnd more! Technical note:Most of the effects here are done with gradients, shape tweens, bitmap fills and blending modes, meaning something like this theoretically could have been made as early as 2005 (maybe blending modes came a little later?), though at the time the narration probably would have seemed very weird. It likely wouldn't have been able to run at 60fps, either. There's almost no code - just the interactive stuff is as3, which I'd never used before this. I've decided I hate it.Here's the <a href="https://www.newgrounds.com/dump/item/721ada80ef7dd602fd9ab40269b9dc05">source file</a>, if you want a peek behind the curtain (no audio, it makes the file like 20x bigger) Big thanks to:<ul>

</ul> (Update 5/19/2023)We won the jam which is cool! (1st interactive movie). Today I was talking to Harvey about what the "point" of the movie is supposed to be, and I was actually able to put it pretty succinctly, so I thought I'd paste it here as the official "artist's statement." (Spoilers):<blockquote>The thing I was getting at in the video was that the domino-effect of people building on each others' ideas is less likely to happen if the medium is already "dead," which is important because every antiquated way of doing things still has it's own unique aesthetic strengths in addition to its shortcomings. (you kind of have to put the pieces together yourself that that's the thesis of the video - the idea that old technology can have obscure strengths over new technologies is only spelled out plainly in the phone call at the end)</blockquote>Oh also, we were on the front page of Hacker News for a minute! Tomb Twerker

An update regarding my adult game Mother's Devotion

Hello everyone! I wanted to share with you some of the updates I've been working on for our game.I've attached a video showcasing some changes, but please keep in mind that it's only for demonstration purposes and does not represent the final version of our upcoming V0.07 update. In the video, you'll see that we've made some improvements to the menu and movement in the game. All maps will now be interactive with buttons, which is a significant improvement from the previous text-based menu system.Additionally, I've been working on implementing random events in various rooms throughout the house, such as the bathroom and living room. These events will change depending on the player's progress in the game.I've also been working on converting all the maps currently in the game, including the office, park, and gym. - When starting the game, you will have a % chance to see different Menu Backgrounds, which I haven't created yet - Also visible in the video is the new form of movement through the game. All maps will be Interactive with buttons. - I believe that this is a far greater improvement from the previous style of clicking on text menus. - I'm working on random scenes. In the video, I used the Bathroom as an example. In the previous versions, the Bathroom was occupied on certain times and days. Now it's going to be completely random. - I might now make it in the coming update, but I will code the ground works for random events in other rooms around the house as well. Focusing on living room and Kitchen, which will change depending on the story progression you have. - Currently, only the House is fully converted. I have created all necessary Renders needed for the Office, Park, and Gym. I will code those in this week. - Once unlocked, the player will be able to visit the Park at daytime, which will probably only include Random encounters, which then can be expanded. - Once I have converted all the maps currently in the game, I will bring over all the scenes. That shouldn't take as much time, since I will not change anything regarding scenes. - I will make changes to the Emma quest! These changes will be, that the Emma quest and the Yoga Quest in the Gym, will be intertwined. You will have to progress the Yoga Events, to progress Emma's content. - I still have to add the Mobile Phone, but for that all images are done and only need to be coded. I will add a Walkthrough into the Laptop, which I still need to render and make images for. I will be able to add the Laptop, but, I do not believe, I will be able to add any sort of Quest log. Finally, I want to address the feedback I've received regarding the lack of content featuring Max and his best friend. I've been working on new scenes featuring these characters, but I won't be able to include them in the next update. However, I plan to put a lot of effort into the V0.10 update and will be sure to include these scenes and more.I hope this gives you a better idea of what I've been working on and what to expect in the future. Thank you for your support, and I look forward to sharing more updates with you soon! With all my Love, Stay Safe, Stay Healthy, Fluffy!
