This is my entry for Aalasteir's Original Game Concept Animation Jam.

I've had this idea of a kangaroo rat fighting predators with his ninja skills for a long time now. For those who've been following me for a while now, you might remember that back in 2021, I uploaded a fake trailer about the same idea but never made a follow up. Then, in 2024, I pitched my idea to my university's game development club and it won the chance to be developed over the next semester as a long-term game. Only one level was completed, but since then, I've hoped for the opportunity to develop it further, into a much bigger project. Hopefully by submitting this trailer to the animation jam, I can get more support to push my idea to its fullest potential, and maybe a full playable game will come to fruition someday!

Here's the game design document which explains everything I hope to accomplish with this game: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1aH587hdusRKv8aQV2C5Xlgb3RuRO5h_Gbdn1XRQXC4s/edit?usp=sharing

In the meantime, you can play the level 1 demo on itch.io and let me know what you think! It's still got some bugs, but I'm proud of how it came out: https://aztec-game-lab.itch.io/saguaro
