I have made this animation for game Lenin st Geek Shop that was demo released recently. The animation is a parody of old 1990-2000s russian ads. The prototype of the main character of the animation is russian 2000s pop star Gluk'oZa, I really recommend to watch her old and new animated clips on YouTube

90's themed TV set in an apocalyptic future...

Set in a future where the environment has been destroyed, what remains of the human race lives in domes, all ran and controlled by DOTCORP. DOTCORP covers everything from the water and air, to the law and entertainment inside these domes. This piece is a mock broadcast from ''DOTCORP TV'' - This channel broadcasts minimal content, and is mostly ads, interspersed with random cartoons and shows. It also contains the ''DOTCORP SHOPPING CHANNEL'', which is a version of shopping in this future, where people pay a subscription to this channel to 'experience' what it was like to shop before the domes. I wanted it to evoke the feeling of turning on Adult Swim or Toonami at 3am, lots of ads and cartoons that didn't make sense because you were half asleep, along with a lot of influence from the weather channel. It also draws heavily on nostalgia, being set in a fuzzy 90's VHS world, but I used this to contrast the warmth a lot of us feel when seeing these things, as it hides a lot of the shady things DOTCORP is up to. In this vein, I drew a lot of inspiration from Cave Johnson in Portal 2, and that kind of corporate satire, where you're not sure if it's a joke, or to be taken seriously. The memory eraser in particular was kind of influenced by this. This piece was made for my Master's Degree in 2025, and was displayed on a looping TV, along with an interactive arcade machine, as part of the final exhibition. ( I hope none of this comes off as pretentious I just wanted to share it with you guys :) p.s the little guy on the phone at 06:26 was animated with AI but that's ONLY because I didn't have time to do it myself for the deadline at the time :( p.s.p.s apologies to every artist ever for using AI :(

Decided to make something original and came up with this short animation inspired by what is happening in relation to internet anonymity and censorship. I designed this girl character to have a UK/cyberpunk look, as well as vaguely looking like the typical 'not signed in' profile picture. I designed the robots after UK police and Corporate Memphis. I was trying out some kind of NPR style here inspired by the look of Persona 3 Reload, and while it doesn't look the best, it's still kind of interesting i suppose. All the 3D elements were made and rendered in Blender, with the textures made in Substance 3D Painter. The animated holo-ads were made in Illustrator (and are barely even visible in the final thing 😔) and the final product was composed in Premiere Pro.

In this completely accurate retelling of what I remember Kaiba vs. Yugi to be, we explore the true meaning of the “Heart of the Cards,” the tragic consequences of unskippable ads, and why you should never let Mokuba pilot an aircraft. This is my love letter to over-the-top anime duels, card game logic holes, and the pure chaos of abridged-style humor. A Tribute to the American Spirit! Lustgard Animation - nr.15 - 2024 Man you folks sure know how to throw a party.I’m thrilled to share my latest animation, Njorijanna takes center stage once again, standing proudly on the trunk of a Cybertruck, as the summer breeze sweeps through her hair, (outside my window, there is snow...)This piece is a heartfelt homage to the American spirit, a force that has inspired me deeply throughout my life.Growing up in Norway in the late 80s, my childhood was profoundly shaped by Western culture. From the Amiga and supersoakers to unforgettable 90s movies, computer magazines, iconic music, and even commercials/ads—everything about it felt larger than life. It left a lasting impression, one I’m still grateful for today. I even owned a third gen Camaro, living a little piece of that dream. This animation also celebrates a moment of optimism for the USA, a country I believe has the potential to restore itself to its former glory. While I can’t afford a Cybertruck (yet!), I built one in 3D for this project, partly as a nod to Elon and the platform he owns Twitter/X, where so many of you came to know Lustgard.I hope this piece resonates as a celebration of resilience, freedom, and the enduring influence of a country that has its flaws but remains a source of inspiration. Thank you, brothers and sisters from across the pond, for everything you’ve given me. Here’s to better days ahead! A special thank you to YNArts3D for the incredible M60 model, to my brother for playing a beautiful rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner on his guitar, and to Ray, Hal, Walt and Monty for expertly mixing the sound and foley effects. Your contributions brought another level this animation, and I couldn’t have done that part without you! Disclaimer from the Sound Team.Hal, Ray, Walt, and Monty—the brilliant minds behind the sound design—want it noted that they do not endorse the use of the iconic screech attributed to the American bald eagle in this video. As loyal supporters of the American Birding Association, they feel obligated to point out that the sound used is, in fact, from a red-tailed hawk. While they acknowledge it was chosen purely for its iconic status, they insist on making it clear that they objected to this bird-based creative liberty. Rest assured, any inaccuracies here are purely for entertainment value (and a little wink to tradition). - Alluringsteed

The Ads.... (WORK IN PROGRESS)

Thinking a lot lately about how all the social media platforms we used to know and love have decayed into brutal hellscapes of algorithms, bots, AI art and ads.

If only there was a better way... like…

Twomplr

As someone who lives in chile, i can confirm. Those ads were EVERYWHERE.

This is modern cable television ads. "make your child stop acting autistic with mathmasium"

These things are ads I see everywhere on youtube and podcasts are garbage and hilarious.

The first episodes I ever worked on for Cyanide & Happiness, 2015

Thus marks the beginning of the end of my animatic uploads, as I dive into episode segments that I've worked on for the Cyanide & Happiness Show. There's layers to the delays on this! I actually initially assembled this very .fla file while I was in the studio facing layoffs for the first time, and I was let go before I could complete it. Now that I've recovered my work hard drive, I can pick up where I left off archiving my work, and my history with Explosm. At the time that I was assigned to work on Bill Brass, I was brand-spanking new at this whole thing. I had made an audition for them, then they gave me a scenario to test what I could do, and then they assigned me a couple of promo's to animatic for the show. One of which was of a stickman swallowing the camera, and we enter through his esophagus and out his asshole where he had the "Cyanide & Happiness Show: Season Too!" logo at the ready by his buttcheeks. The other promo, which was more involved, was this brief little ad.. These were my functional tests to see if I could keep up with feedback and deadlines. With the ads complete, Season Too was getting ready to wrap up, so they tacked me onto the Bob Ross segment of "Too Many Cops" and all over the place in "Too Much History" I struggled for a little bit with getting clear imagery up for some shots in the "Ghost of History's Past" segment, so Beth Del Rosario stepped up and helped me out, because she's incredible at what she does. She saved my ass a lot through Season Three, Purgatony, and she knocks out all of her work in very quick order. I will always feel bad about like not "getting it" fast enough to the point that others needed to dive in and help me out. That's the kinda guilt that makes me want to improve so that doesn't happen again, but as embarrassed as I was that I NEEDED help, I am equally grateful that the Explosm team could help when they were able. They didn't let me drown, and based on what I've been hearing from other creative gigs with other studios, it makes it seem like that's a rare grace in the industry. Because there's been such a gap between this part's assembly and the next part, expect there to be some changes when the Part 2 goes up. This'll wrap up the "Too Much History" Episode, and that'd be it for Season Too. Then, I got a couple of segments from Season Three to upload. A few things from Season Four. And then the only animatics that'll be left are the more recent shorts that I've been working on as a contractor from this year! But I'm trying to get this old stuff archived. It's just one less thing left to do before I move onto newer, more colorful, more original, less stick-figury, more challenging-to-make content that's more my own. More for you! Not blueprints from bygone eras. Stay tuned, and thanks for watching! If you haven't subscribed to my two YouTube accounts, go to @Galneda and @Phobotech and subscribe to both! More's coming for each channel! And if you haven't followed me here on Newgrounds yet, please do so! I'm trying to hit 1K Followers, and when that happens, I got something special for NG! -GG-

Scrapple - REMASTERED

Once again, I was the first one to make a battle of Newgrounds vs Youtube. Why has everyone yet to make this before? This holiday is mostly about how awesome Newgrounds is. So what if I do that by shitting on Youtube? Newgrounds is so much better than Youtube. But here's my problem about this Movie before anyone explains it to me. This movie might be a little too hateful for youtube. I mean, that's what I was trying to do. I wanted to be like Garth Ennis. But a lot of people might hate me for this. This holiday is not about what website is better. It’s not about how broken Youtube is and how they treat their creators. It's all about Pico. Pico is cool. We can make Pico anything we want. He and also everything that makes Newgrounds so tremendous and better than Youtube. But it also used to be Tom's birthday, but not anymore. HAPPY LAYE BIRTHDAY! If you didn’t know, in the background, it shows all the things I hate about youtube. Seriously, I really hate what's on the wall. I was going to put SMG4 on the wall, but that would be too mean. I don’t hate his channel, I just stop watching it, because of Mario and Meggy, and the fans ruin the channel for me. I wish there were more things I could add to the wall.I should have put a better MLP thing on the wall because it ruins youtube for me. Good thing it dies down. Flumpty Bumpty and Birthday Boy Blam are technically not Newgrounds characters…YET. But they will be if @JoneBro uploads all the games on this website. I mean, they probably fit really well here and everyone would love them. Hay, @JoneBro, can you please upload the ONAF games here? Not all of them, just one game each week. I’m begging you, people are going to think I’m stupid because of this. CUM ON! Here is why I think Newgrounds is better than Youtube:Age:Newgrounds is one of the oldest websites on the internet, so it has seen shit. From the rise of Facebook and the fall of MySpace.com, Newgrounds was there watching, and laughing. NG is 27 years old. Youtube is 17 years old, that was the same age I was when I was drawing porn. Style:Newgrounds as always had a distinct style. Having a personality of its own. It’s been changed to look a little more simple over the years. EVEN REMOVING THE TANK LOGO! But still, keep the style that it always is. You know what it is when you first see it.Youtube looks okay. It looks simple. But what's the personality? Mascots:Soulless empty hollow shells, selling us crap we don't need, that's the mascot. But not the Mascots on Newgrounds. No. On the Tank logo, The mascot was mostly the tank, then the rider, but soon the Tankman got a personality. Newgrounds have a lot of mascots. Each has its own thing that makes them unique. You can even have some of them and make videos of them. But mostly the mascot for this holiday is Pico.Youtube never had a Mascot. No characters that I would love or make videos of. No real original holidays. (I think).Wait, maybe you are the Mascot of Youtube. Maybe we are the Soulless empty hollow shells, selling crap other people don't need. Maybe I’m the reason why PT was canceled. Maybe Guillermo del toro-AND THAT’S WHY KONAMI IS ONE OF THE BEST GAMING COMPANIES OF ALL TIME! SUB TO COMPLETIONIST. Content:Newgrounds has animated Movies, WEB GAMES (one of the best places for them), music/audio, artworks, AND news/blogs. But it doesn't stop just there. There's a form where people can have Arguments, a chat room like Discord but with no creeps, a radio that plays ONE SONG, a wiki about the website history, and a download page that lets you download wallpapers and flash loaders that haven’t updated since 2012. Hay, I got this NG stop motion opening, so I don’t know, you could put it there if you want. I’m ok with it.Youtube only has videos… that’s it!? ONLY VIDEOS!? YOU: “ It’s a website about watching videos. WHAT ELSE ARE THEY GONNA HAVE!? ” Reviews? Blogs? A shop? (Oh, they have that. Newgrounds used to have a shop, I wonder what happen to it?), I know they have blog posts, but they're just to give quick updates. They now have posted and they work fine. You have to be a little popular to do that.I think there should be a separate page on YouTube for reviews of videos. People would write big video reviews blogs and also have a link to them so people can also watch them. And there could be ads next to the reviews so the writers can make some catch off of their writing. People can put hard work into writing reviews to help creators or views become better…or just make fun of them for giggles. I like to do both.Newgrounds just have more stuff. A lot. People might want less, but can you play games on Youtube? Stuff fillers buttons:Newgrounds has great fillers and Options to customize to find content better. Likes range from content that was made today or years ago. There’s an opinion for sorting it by date, score, or views.Categories from different genres.YouTube has this too, but Newgrounds is more colorful. You know what, Age Rating:Newgrounds has an age rating system that is the same one used for video games. E for Everyone (not only for kids), Teens for Teens, M for Mature audience, and A for Perverts. With this system, the viewer/player will know if it’s appropriate for them before they watch it and their parents can't get mad. So you won’t watch a Pokémon animation about a kid with a brain tumor who stabs it with a knife Unless you want to see it, I do.Inside of a group of people deciding if you work age rating, you can do it yourself. This is a really good System and easy to understand, better the movie ratings. But if you miss the age rating, someone will fix it for you.On YouTube, there is no real rating. There are kids stuff, middle and adult. The kid's rating will get the video to be (MADE FOR KIDS), so the video will not have any comments, no saving the video to watch later, and no MiniPlayer. Are you fucking kidding me? Why the fuck would anyone make videos for kids if stuff like these is convenient!? Kids are not stupid babies, they play Call of Duty. Data is important and that’s why they use it. Who cares about collecting data on children, it’s long and not gonna do anything creepy, it’s not that bad. The government keeps track of us so we don’t do anything illegal. Kids use forks and knives to cut their food, but they can poke their eyes with it, but they won’t. Kids can fall off bikes and get hurt, that’s why they make sure they don’t do that, but if they do, they learn from it and shrug off the pain. I watched cartoons about Mario murdering everyone in the mushroom kingdom when I was younger than 13! I was playing flash games with guns and blood… I miss that.E is not for only kids, it’s for Everyone for every age. You shouldn’t restrict that. And not their adult stuff also called age-restricted content, probably some people would call it, good YouTube videos. This video is a little naughty but for a reason, they get age-restricted which means they won’t get that much money from it. The only rating you can make a decent earning is the middle ground, not too nascent for kids and not too edgy. I know there should be a lament of how far you can go, but videos might be demonetized for the stupidest reason that you did not intend. Youtube should have a rating on the thumbnail so the viewer would know ahead of time. Or the Youtuber could do it di t themselves. But on Newgrounds, they have solutions of tools to look at more movies, games, art, and music. They have an age rating tool that only gives you content with the age rating you want. So you won’t get content that is Rated A. Score Rating:YouTube used to have a score with the buttons, like and dislike, which shows if a video is good or not. This could teach the creator to get good. But now they removed the dislike button and score. Fucking pussy. So a video about hating gay people would only get likes. But if you ask me, it’s actually not that big of a dual that YouTube removed the dislike button. You can still comment your thoughts on the comments until they remove that…FUCKING CUNTS.On Newgrounds, they don’t even have a dislike button or a like button. Inside they have STARS! You can give a game, movie, art, or music a star score from 1 to 10. Not just not a simple thumbs up and down (UP YOUR ASS). You have to think about the score. Youtube used to have a star system, but remove it with a thumbs up and down, and remove the thumbs down. Review vs CommentWhen you make a review on Newgrounds, it will be the first thing you see when you go back to it, so you won’t forget you made it. And you can only make one, so no spamming. Your review will have your score rating for the content.Youtube comments kinda suck. Youtube should be more like Reddit comments. I don’t know if that should be a good thing, but here’s a video that explains this idea better. Also, lets the comments have a dislike number too. And maybe had ads banners in the comments so they could make some money there, so they can pay people to mod them or something. Shitposting:To prevent Newgrounds from being a dumping ground for garbage content like DeviantArt. They have a system called blaming. If a Flash or whatever has too many low scares, it will be removed from Newgrounds. This might sound mean, but it’s a way to save up space. And art and music just get ignored. Youtube, you can upload whatever you want, mostly, but it will never be seen. Even if it’s good, it’s hard to get noticed. How people will view your content. PORTAL:Every time you upload on Newgrounds, it will be at the top of the Portal. It’s where everyone can see anything New on Newgrounds and vote on it. And if it gets more positive votes, it will stayIt’s easy to get views on Newgrounds than on Youtube. How can anyone see your videos if you are new on Youtube? Algorithm:It’s what Youtube think you want, without you even telling them what you want.If the crater is not upleading that much because they're working hard on a new good video, the Algorithm will ignore them and they won’t get views. Copyright:Youtube is not In charge of copyright, it's the owner.I feel they should go a little easy on these creators. On Newgrounds, they advised to not use copyrighted music, but you're not making any money from it, so it's okay. Changes:If your video gets copyright climbed, you can edit out the copyrighted music with something else, but for Animation:Making animation is hard and takes a long time. It’s a fact. No, scratch that, making something GOOD is hard and take’s a long time, like good animation. Newgrounds understand this, you could take as long as you want to make something.Youtube, you need to keep uploading if it’s a real job that helps you pay for food or rent. But there is one thing that makes Newgrounds Superior to Youtube…NEWGROUNDS HAS PORN! Tits, ass, Dicks, and sometimes both in that order, Newgrounds got them. Youtube only has the bar medium on it. You can only do so little or not at all. But if you don’t want to see it, you can turn off the A rating if someone else is in the room. I hope you all enjoy this and happy Pico day. EDIT 5/30/2023Frontpage!? And two trophies!? Thank you, so much!
