hi new animation lawl. I've decided to share all the juicy details about this animation here since the person I was dating (and my mom or stepdad) doesn't use Newgrounds.

This animation was going to be shorter and to test the VHS filter on davinci resolve but I've decided to make it longer to make it more personal. I could have made it even longer but I didn't want to take even longer to finish it. I think i've worked on it for almost two weeks? One week or animating and a few days for editing it. (I'm still very new to davinci resolve)

This animation is about a breakup I had with someone I loved very much, I still have those feelings and I'm still trying to get over them, even if we only dated for almost four months. I'm better now but those feelings are still all over the place. I feel like a mess especially since I'm far away from home. (I'm in Argentina rn i want to goo hoommee)

I've also added a lot of orange and pinks in the backgrounds as a little nod to these characters being LESBIANS. I've tried adding lesbian flag colors in the VHS filter and backgrounds because the person I was dating is a women and during that relationship I've finally accepted myself as a lesbian. I've never felt so happy or free in my LIFE. If there was one thing I could take away from that relationship is this person helping me accept myself for I've been this whole time. Those ten years of feeling shame ans guild are finally gone and have turned into pride and joy. Even if me and this person are just friends now I'm happy we dated because if we didn't I feel like I could still be in denial of the fact I like women.

Eclipse (the armarouge) was one of the first lesbian characters I've made, originally she was this boy crazy character but once she had her redesign I made her a lesbian. (I'm not 100% sure when i made her a lesbian) I love Eclipse so much.

The Ceruledge (purple one) is my pokesona. She was designed by the person I was dating at the time, before we were dating my friend commissioned me to design her an armarouge sona so I did, later when we were dating I thought it would be cute if I commissioned the person I was dating to design me a ceruledge sona (I always wanted a ceruledge pokesona but didn't know how to go about it) now it's sorta hard to detach Stardust from the person I was dating. That's the reason why I choose Eclipse to be with Stardust instead of any other ocs, just so there could be that armarouge/ceruledge relationship thing going on. Also just so Eclipse could comfort me in a way.

The reason why they are on the beach is because a year after the most traumatic event in my life, my stepdad took me and my mom to the beach, at the time I haven't been to the beach in years, maybe even over a decade, so I've associated being at the beach with healing, growing, and moving on. It was sorta weird that last year I was crying so loudly and not thinking straight to being at the beach enjoying a sunny day the next year.

Also the reason why I picked 14 as something important is because 14 is my unlucky number, the traumatic event happened on the 14th and my girlfriend breaking up with me happened on the 14th. When I was at the beach again with my mom and stepdad our room was 2014 and it had bedbugs in it and we had to move which was stressful (AND IN THE SAME ROOM I BURNED MY HAND) I fully believe 14 is my unlucky number.

Well I had so much fun doing the VHS filters! The everything else was not as fun....well Merry Christmas and Happy new year! Hoping for a better 2025. *shivers*
