Scooterman: The Doctor's Greed

He Loves to Swim, what a shame that he can't

An Original Comedy Cartoon Short in a vertical Tik Tok Style about a young lad who simply loves to Swim!Animation by Eydi av Hamri. Dude nailed it once again! With thanks also to Harry Partridge for his last minute flash assistance Lyrics:My Name is Jim And I really love to SwimI love Breast StrokeI love Front CrawlI love to Kick off From the WallBut Most of AllI love to Cannonball!Whee! ... Tragedy earlier today as Timothy Croods, a local and beloved 8-year-old was found face down in a private swimming pool. The owners of the pool and the house it belonged to were an elderly couple, who had no idea they were witnessing this young boy's final moments as they watched him scramble over the fence and prop his smartphone on an empty birdbath nearby. "My question is how the hell anybody could drown in so much protective gear!?" one of the two witnesses was quoted as saying "I mean the kid was wearing floaties for Pete's sake, how did he manage to drown!?" It was later discovered that the young boy had made the fatal mistake of filling his armbands with water instead of air. We reached out to the floaties company about this catastrophe for further information on the matter "Jim Can't Swim is a cautionary tale of what happens when you don't read the instructions. In fact, in our manual, it is clearly stated that floaties should be filled with air and that using our product should be supervised by a parent, guardian, or a professional person in the field. If Tim was alive today he would tell you that he didn't read the instructions." Timothy's Mother Celine Croods also claims that the young boy had never swam a day in his life, seeming to show a complete lack of interest in the sport up to this point. To find answers as to why then a young boy with no apparent interest in swimming was found in such a fashion, local law enforcement and social experts are turning their attention to Social Media, where currently a viral dance simply known as "Jim can't Swim" is making the rounds. This trend sees young people dancing on poolsides nationwide to the song "Jim Loves to Swim" before cannonballing into the water. The trend has been directly correlated to a recent increase in the number of aquatic child fatalities worldwide, and serious questions are being asked about whether or not Swimming Pools should be banned. When it came to a head that several fatalities had taken place the floaties company responded "All these young kids will be honoured in our offices and forever remembered as beautiful, playful innocence, cruelly taken from us... Much in the same way that they'll be remembered for not reading the manual." We interviewed Australian Children's singer "Christian Bunnacolm", the creator of the song, who had this to say: "WHY THE HELL ARE PEOPLE BLAMING ME FOR ALL OF THESE DEATHS!? I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT A TIKTOK EVEN IS, I BARELY EVEN CHECK FACEBOOK, WHY THE [explicit] ARE YOU ALL DOING THIS TO ME!??" Bunnacolm has since been taken into custody, where he awaits without bail to be trialled on 167 counts of criminal intent to compose. More on the story as it develops.

Dinictus Clock sneaks in on the S&R set for a philosofer's exchange of thoughts with you.

UPDATE AUG 16th: Second place! ^_^ I love you all! At a good 13.5 minutes length, I do hope you won't bail out of this intellectual contribution to the Portal. Remember, that patience is a virtue, and you might even enjoy it. To all viewers and NG-users, fellow Clocks and Locks, happy Clock Day! Don't drink and drive after the party ^_^ It is advised to run this movie on Medium quality during the speech - the lipsync is very frame-intensive. I tried to work past slowdowns, but in the end of that scene, there might be minor slowdown, hardly noticeable though. Special thanks to Rynn Simonsdochter and Amy Rawcliffe for their help and support.
