EDIT: Thanks a lot for the Daily 1st and the frontpage, Newgrounds!
Wow, it's such a honor to be sharing FP with a Brackenwood movie and with that "Egg" music video that i like so much... :D
-------------------- Hello, fellow newgrounders!
I have been working on this animation for about a year now (I was really lazy and had no inspiration), and I'm happy to finally finish it!. ---
Weird Al's Lasagna
--- This was going to be just another music video. Well, it is. But also... well, my art and animation style evolved while making this. You can see it by yourselves by watching the animation at least twice.
Also, when I started to make this I was using a 3 year old Gateway laptop and Flash 8. I finished it using a Macbook (awesome) and Flash CS3. So... yeah. This animation was some sort of a transition between my old self and my new self (artistically talking). I'm really happy now it's finished. I don't want to touch that .fla ever again. So... please review and vote, will ya? Ject. (P.D: Pueden dejar sus reseñas en español si quieren).

Weird Al's Lasagna

how it has turned out even though it is only last just over 30 seconds and was inspired by the Brackenwood

Fluff

..but where did he come from, this fleck of spite in an abandoned paradise?

This is the story of the last of the dashkin. The people are all gone and in a world of innocent animals, the solitude, the sadness and bitterness have corrupted his view of life. What does the future hold for such a tragic creature? Will he wander the planet, forever alone until his death? Will he always be the wild King of Brackenwood? --
It's a massive honour to be nominated for a 2nd Tank Award, thanks NG! Thank you for front page, all the great reviews and the incredible score for Daily Feature.
--
Thanks to Brackenwood fans and donors for all the support not only during the 4 weeks I spent making this, but also in the 2 years since I submitted Waterlollies. Since then I've been working on the Brackenwood feature film outline with my good friend Ryan O'Loughlin. With no plans for a new web episode in the meantime it occurred to me that Brackenwood fans could be waiting years for the feature. I didn't want to abandon them altogether, so this new movie is my way of staying in touch with them and the NG audience. This is the first Brackenwood short to break away from the "character introduction" style movies that had little or no character motivation and plot. This is a story, not only answering a lot of questions, but asking just as many new ones. I used Flash CS3, the .fla is over 300MB (half of that is audio) and it took me 4 weeks.
Don't worry I won't be leaving it another 2 years. I plan on starting storyboards on the conclusion in jan-feb 2010.

I'm looking forward to getting back to dancing Jesus's and Brackenwood sex.

By his own actions the world's fastest creature is forced to a slow, painful crawl.

It's a huge honour to have won the first NG Tank Award.
To be honest, Brackenwood wouldn't be what it is today without the generosity of Newgrounds and the supportive community here.
Thanks everyone for the years of support :D --- Waterlollies: Bitey's short-sighted arrogance lands him in a world of hurt. If you have a slow computer, you will probably experience severe frame-dropping throughout some actionscripted particle scenes. Flash Player 9 required, fast computer and Safari browser (the best for viewing Flash movies) strongly recommended - - update:

- - don't forget to come back here and review/rate :) edit: thanks for the Portal Awards and front page, and thanks everyone for the amazing score and all the great reviews! For hardcore Brackenwood fans this will be nothing too new, apart from one or two new creatures. Anyone new to Brackenwood will find this is the most complete Brackenwood story so far. Still I have lots of work to do on my story skills so future Brackenwood movies will have greater depth. Thanks to Newgrounds, this movie was scored professionally by Nathan McCree. He's the guy that did the music on the Tomb Raider games (!) so I'm grateful that he agreed to work on this with me. Thanks to him and Tom Fulp, this movie sounds amazing. Thanks also to Michael Welsh for ironing out some actionscript bugs for me at the last minute!

Madness in Brackenwood

Condemned to push a boulder up a mountain, can Sisyphus ever make it to the top?

Also! before you watch it, its probably wise to turn your volume down as the excessive grunt noises can give off the wrong impression to people who aren't watching the visuals...better yet! just mute it!!!
EDIT: Since alot of you don't know the myth and so don't really understand it, here is a brief explanation;
The Myth Of Sisyphs is about a man condemned by the gods to push a boulder up a mountain for eternity, never able to reach the top. There's much more to it than that but that should be all you need to know ;)
EDIT: Look at my news post for the character design basis of sisyphus, it's the image i based the character design on!
I was partly Inspired by the work of Adam Phillips, i learnt alot of animation techniques from his work and this has resulted in a few similarities of style, i'm a huge fan of his and im not trying to rip him off, nextime you'll see something different from me anyway :D
*EDIT* frontpage and brackenwood collection thank you!!!!
Many of you have been saying that it's just a brackenwood ripoff and aren't giving it a fair chance but it should be completely different, though my style may be similar the character is actually based on an old original drawing of sisyphus from the myth so sorry for any resemblence!!! :)
WOOHOO Daily 3rd! Watch the credits 'cause the animation ain't over till its over!
(Just want to mention that i am reading every each one of your reviews! keep em coming! It makes it all worth it !!:D)
SO, here it is!!! my first BIG animation! and when i say big i mean you hopefully won't be complaining that the animations too short or the fact that i had to cut like a whole scene out because the file size exceeded the limit..dammit.... This animation is totally FBF which i always do 'cause i hate untraditional animation like tweens, ect;
My usual rant/analysis/review thing will now be on my userpage so go check it out after you've watched it! Big thanks to the Kartunehustla for help with the audio syncing! This took me about 3 months for the animation in total, but the first month was spent on the first 3 cuts WITH A MOUSE, but then i got a tablet and it all sped up. a month was spent on audio and then about a week was spent trying to fix loads of problems in with the audio. Here's a few quick facts!
RUNTIME: WAS, exactly 6mins 0.6secs, but with the cuts it's now about 5mins 30secs approx;
FRAMES: WERE, 7212, but with cuts probably 7100 approx;
FRAME RATE: 20.0 FPS Sorry but i couldn't make a quality adjustment option, i'm absolutely useless with actionscript... so it might lag on a few scenes depending wether you have a bit of a crappy PC or not... Hope you like it!!

The Myth Of Sisyphus

This is my Diploma project that I've been working on since November 2006. It is 10 minutes long and you will need Flash Player 8 to view it properly. I'm really anxious because only a few people had seen it before now, and this is my chance to get to know what real audience thinks about my work. Hope you'll enjoy it! EDIT:
Thank you so much everyone for the Daily Feature, for the Front Page and for all the nice reviews :) I noticed that some of you had mentioned the Brackenwood series in relation to my movie. I would like to say that I consider Adam Phillips (chluaid) the best Flash artist ever. I often watch his movies and try to learn from them, especially the effects such as water, lighting effects and such. His level of animation is something to aim for to me, and it's a honour to know that my movie makes some people think about his works :) Also, concerning the music, I would like to say that I did not find a suitable music, nor did I animate to follow a previously chosen melody. Alexander Ahura made the soundtrack specifically for this cartoon :)

The Stranger Forest

Don't ask me to explain art. :)
(THANKS FOR THE COMMENTS AND VOTES, THEY ALL MAKE A POOR YOUNG SOUL HAPPY) EDIT: Alright, because of some hype of how I should admit to being a follower of A. Phillips, I'll say heck yes and I'm not ashamed. :)
I became ubsessed with A. Phillips just like any of the fans, and I decided to try out his style. But ofcourse, this thing doens't even come close to a Brackenwood movie. Despite using many of Adam's art styles in this movie, all I care about is if you guys enjoyed it , and thankfully many of you did. :)

NG Assassin Ep3

This small movie was created for a competition in the Brackenwood forums that was held last year.

Ye filthy sea dog!

This is the sequel to LittleFoot. If you haven't seen it, this movie will make very little sense ;)
----
I originally intended the littleFoot sequel to be a movie called 'Waterlollies' of around 6-7 min. I emailed a hero of mine, legendary Pogues whistle player Spider Stacy (the main influence on my own musical tastes) to ask if he would create an intro theme tune of 20-30 seconds that I could use at the start of every Brackenwood episode. He agreed, but he went better than that. He got some mates together and created this amazing 3 min song that kicks arse. When I listened to the tune for the first time, all I could see in my mind was Bitey rocketing over the Brackenwood landscape. So I decided to create a standalone movie that was basically a music video for this song. You won't find a story here, just a 3min action sequence that follows on directly from littleFoot. "Waterlollies" is my next Brackenwood installment which will be finished sometime in March 2007. Check out my site for some preview screenshots. I also wanna thank all of Newgrounds admin, staff and members for your support of my work. Couldn't keep doing this without ya. -Adam
