SUMMERTIME RECORD

Around 1974, going into 75, a little known upcoming director made a test animation for a project that ultimately went unproduced. Just recently, cels from the test have resurfaced, and sold at private auctions. And after about 2 weeks of waiting, the test animation itself has been processed, and re-recorded to be put online... Lost media theatrics aside, this is a test animation I've been working on, since the beginning of June. Took me a little over 2 months to complete because of all the detail I put into each frame. This animation is also up on my YouTube. (link in bio) And for those wondering, the animation is meant to be reminiscent of films like Heavy Metal, Rock and Rule, and just about every Ralph Bakshi movie. Basically, trippy animated films from the 70s and 80s that have gained their own cult followings, years later. Sadly, this was not done with actual Cels. I try my hardest to make it look like it was, via observing old animation, and of course practicing with this project. Also of course adding simple title cards that some test animation years ago would have. I wanna give a massive thank you to one of my friends who voiced Willy, who would prefer to stay anonymous, and of course GameCubeDude for voicing Depp. His channels here:https://www.youtube.com/@GCDstreamshttps://www.youtube.com/@GameCubeDude100 Really hope you enjoyed this short and sweet test I made. If you could, please share this around. I would love to see these characters be part of something REALLY huge one day. Also, I will soon be opening art commission for those who are interested. Not sure when, just yet, but hopefully before September begins. Thank you all for watching. Follow me on Twitter/X(link in bio) and NewGrounds if you aren't already. I plan to be more active on here in the future.

AngelHorns: The First Act CEL TEST [RARE]

A traditionally animated run cycle, made entirely analog, using layers of hand painted cels. The line work was done with a china marker and the colors with acrylic paint.

Running Creature

This was a pretty fun one-off experiment, see if I can replicate the classic process of filming purely traditional animation instead of doing it all on the computer as usual.Been wanting to do something like this for a while, but I didn't really allow myself much time to do it, so once my last semester's classes ended, I immediately hopped onto working on this project. (plus, it gave me an excuse to use nutty in a project once again) It's a really quick one, but trust me, although it may not seem like much, a lot of time went into these three seconds. A whole month and a half, in fact. some behind the scenes sketches and stuff:poses (several unused ones in here)a single finished frame:same cel from behind:the cels, drying(three frames are missing, two of them were in my room, one of them was the 52nd frame that i had just finished painting):the entire filming setup(this took a few frustrating hours to put together, especially with the lighting, making sure my reflections don't show up):for more behind the scenes stuff, check out the youtube version

-The action scene was suppose to be cool, but I lost the batch of "cels", thus it never happened.

Robot complains, annoying people he encounters

EDIT2: I added a picture viewer and a working preloader. The picture viewer lets you see the flash versions of cels so people can stop guessing if this was made in flash or not.
EDIT: Front page-ness. I'm.. speechless. So I won't say anything. ...well, except thanks. But that's it.
EDIT: Hey, Daily feature, awesome! To play, put the mouse on the word 'are' in the title. The play button shall show up. By default, subtitles are off. If you want them on, turn em on. While the movie plays, in the bottom left corner there's a play and pause button hidden. If you want to do either of these, go there and press em. Long story short, a robot complains, and people complain about his complaints. Short story long, this cartoon is about a Robot complaining about his lack of feelings, ignorant to the fact that he actually has them if he can desire them. The people he encounter notice this, but their points fall on deaf ears... deaf ears the robot doesn't have. NOTE: The quality sucks due to the fact that I couldn't export it as a .swf normally, so I had to export it as a .avi file and import that just to make it playable. This is the best I could do, so just bear with it. Oh yeah, and as always, leave a review. Just please don't complain about the quality... I explained that already. Complain about something else that I can actually learn from.
