A short animation I've made for university to experiment with After Effects' tools

So... time to upload a bunch of projects from University! This was the first work I have made finally using After-Effects, which at least for now, it didn't seem that much different from Adobe Premiere, which I have been using for many years... Anyway, the project was about animating a 30 second short that HAD to begin and end with the following frames respectively, as a way to connect our segment with the ones form our classmates: First frame: Last frame: Alongside that, the animation had to correlate with the audio provided by the teacher at the beginning of the test, and had to be about a key word (which in my case was "camarita").And... that's all I can comment about this really... hope you like it!

A Camera's Worst Nightmare

a sexy vampire + sexually repressed vampire hunter walk into a bar - what could go wrong?

After finally being presented with the opportunity, a vampire hunter realizes killing the vampire she has been chasing all these years may not be what she wanted after all... The Fangs I'm After is a 2D animated queer romance film about accepting desire rather than demonizing it, even if it’s a little messy (and *GAY*). This was my senior thesis film made while attending Chapman University's animation and VFX program, created in part under the mentorship of Lauren Faust (creator and showrunner of my little pony: friendship is magic). After 18 months of production, 20 film festivals and 4 awards, it’s bittersweet to be reaching the end of this journey. Creating this film has taught me so much, brought me so many places and created lifelong friendships with my fellow classmates, and I am so proud of the final result. I hope you enjoy this gay gay lesbian gay vampire film as much as I enjoyed making it :) Thanks for watching and keep supporting animation! Also, let your local vampire in the door, nothing could possibly go wrong! psst if you liked it you should go and give it a view on youtube, it's been struggling over there https://youtu.be/CQ3Q1JqxddA?si=1aRUtfepU5IwOLCt ___ Directed by: Rebecca ChiversProduced by: Miranda LinWritten by: Rebecca ChiversMusic by: Lina MalshySound Design by: Emilia Cuevas DiazGraphic Design + Credits: Campbelle Brenne Featuring the voices of:Romi Evans - Whitney the Vampire HunterAlex Furness - Amber the vampire Special thanks to Ruth Daly, Dave Kuhn, Lauren Faust, and John Perez, as well as every volunteer who worked on the project and peer at Chapman who cheered me on along the way!

Buzz Bunny... Well, erm... Burns the blunt I supopose.

So this is a bit of an unanticipated upload but the next Screwypilled Tooncels cartoon still isn't complete and I'm trying to relax on my California trip since it's not that long(next time I wanna stay longer for SURE though I love it here) despite me initially wanting to have completed it here so I can say I made a cartoon in California.... I still wanted to deliver something though and I remembered Dirty Soda had a character, Dizzy, from this cartoon. This is my Illustration class project final, originally screened on April 24th of this year. I wanted to use my animation expertise in a classroom full of Graphic Design majors, though the animation is very limited since it wasn't an animation class. It almost looks like Rocky and Bullwinkle at times. But everyone was absolutely howling. I made some changes from the version I showed in class though, you can see that version on YouTube. Namely, I changed the background music to Ghost of Sheperd's Pie by Geoffrey Burch because apparently Happy Go-Lively by Laurie Johnson from the Ren and Stimpy soundtrack isn't public domain/copyright-free despite feeling like it should be tbh, and I didn't find out until after I had made that version. I also got rid of the film grain since that was actually added at the request of my professor when I explained I was parodying old PSA cartoons like One Beer and Sonic Sez, and changed the name to Buzz Bunny Burns The Blunt to differentiate it from the Screwypilled Tooncels One Joint cartoon. Another key difference is that I restored the suicide joke cut from the version I presented in class. But enough yapping, you guys let me know which version you like best. Here's concept art. I initially tried making Buzz look as stupid as fuck as possible. Just look at this idiot: As well as this comic version I made to present to my class alongside the animated version to promote my portfolio site to classmates:

It's finally finished!! My short film I did for my 3D animation diploma!! It was a lot more work than expected :,)But it was fun to do !! (well some parts, not the bigger fan of modelisation, but I do LOVE designing, rigging and animating Skeletito+Mummimbo (and lighting!!)) I was nominated 3 times for awards during our graduation gala!! (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧ so that makes me pretty happy that people like it enough for it to stand out-ish 3 times among my 30-35 classmates!! Enjoy my short film!! I might do some 3D shenanigans eventually (taking a small 3D break rn, I need to catch up on drawing!! I missed drawing so much!)(´▽`ʃ♡ƪ)

so this is an animatic made for the finals, where I had to create an original story and make an animatic about it. This is also based off by a story I wrote for another class. Surprisingly, my classmates did like my animatic, and heard verbal compliments, which it’s not usually shown in my classroom when watching projects. For me, it was a lil meh but whatever, I still enjoy it

The Tooncels all gather round at Rick's crib to wait for Santa Daddy

The Tooncels all gather round at Rick's crib to wait for Santa Daddy. What has he got in his sack?~~~~~~~~~~~~Commentary:So yeah Merry late Christmas! Here's the fashionably late Christmas cartoon. It was sort of a bitch and a half to animate singing for the first time and at some parts it straight up looks like some characters are having a seizure but I like how it turned out and there's some sentimentality to it but of course I had to put in jokes. I recorded each of the characters singing verses and then stacked them on top of each other for the authenticity of having it sound like it actually sounds when children are singing in a chorus, everybody off-key and on different parts of the song. And no, the character who kind of sounds like Rick and points out Santa's fat sack isn't an animation error that's actually Bandit, he was a character I had in mind at the conception of this series and was one of Rick's classmates in Demon Dilemma who I wanted to have lines in that but couldn't think of a way to integrate and the thing was already long enough so I cut for time and I decided to finally have him properly speak before the year ended so he can be one of the OG characters. He was actually originally a ferret but then I came up with Freddy based on the Japanese ferret pet pages that show on my social media feed so Bandit became a weasel but now I'm realizing he kind of looks like a kangaroo or maybe some sort of chihuahua. I'll probably have fun in the future riffing on his species ambiguity. There's randomly a little more "political" humor in this than in previous ones idk why not really partisan it's just I randomly had the string of words 'Kamala Harris bikini magazine' come to mind and knew it was planted to my brain from God to put that out in the world. Also featuring JFK's cutie patootie grandson. Gave a shoutout to some of my friends from the art department I hope to collab with in the new year and dedicated this to a dear Twitter mutual who died earlier this year. You'll note that there's a slight difference between the NG and YT versions. It's that I had a new idea for a joke the morning I posted to NG and didn't post to YT till later. I also began to edit the credits accordingly so my NG handle is present in the NG version and my YT handle in the YT versions.

Blue wants the ball, and Red has a way for him to get it... in a rather obtuse way.

Blue wants the ball, and Red has a way for him to get it... in a rather obtuse way. Final from my "2D Animation Fundamentals" class for CCAD from my sophomore year, this one had to be 20 - 30 seconds, no more and no less, and unsurprisingly, my initial idea for this was too long, but I feel like the ideas I cut weren't very good anyways. The version my classmates and professor saw originally had my initial placeholder dialogue that I didn't have time to replace with the dialogue you hear now until... around yesterday (at the time of writing this). I usually took a day or two for these even the flip book one. It was only the 3d which took like 5 days and my final animation student film which didnt get to be finished due to being so busy (though my teacher said that it was intentional that he gave us such a tight deadline). I had about a month of prep (treatment, illustration, character model sheet, storyboards, animation tests like her walk cycle, lip sync animation, and head turn). and on my last week i was just placing the key frames which only ended up giving 5 days to actually animate the entire thing. It was really fun and my classmates laughed at where i hoped they did. Im okay with how it turned out givin that i had little time. Thank you all for the support it was really fun animating and having a teacher to give feedback.

Animation Demo Assignments 2025!

(VOLUME WARNING+FOR MATURE AUDIENCES ONLY. VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED)Fuzzy and Fluffy ask a stranger for directions!~~~~~~~~~~~~Okay, creator commentary time! First and foremost, I apologize for how long this one took in coming out, as I was sick for nearly 2 whole weeks earlier this month. But luckily it all worked out and I could complete it before Halloween. This project is actually a bit of an interesting one because it's a remake of a project I did for 3D Animation class last fall when we had to do a creatures themed short for Halloween, which is why everyone here is more round as they were originally low poly Animal Crossing-style models. I came up with these killer teddy bears, their C-3POesque worrywart owl friend, a rude scarecrow who's lost his scaring mojo and his pumpkin minion. This is the first Screwypilled Tooncels short that doesn't feature Rick, Roxy, Freddy or any of what my primary characters that I dub ''The Looneywood Acres Gang''. I did have a Halloween one with them planned but again, as I fell sick I had limited time and this one was further along completion. Plus I wanted to introduce these guys because they're just one in a group of rotating cast of Animaniacs/KaBlam-inspired secondary ensemble characters. I may eventually just pull a Smiling Friends and drop that one out of season so look forward to that.... This Christmas! Or Valentine's Day... Or Easter.... Regardless, I guess Rick's Demon Dilemma can sort of count as this year's Halloween cartoon with said Looneywood Acres crew since it had demons and released close enough to October. Those with a keen eye may notice I've actually featured these guys in a couple of easter eggs in some past projects since I like to do a lot of foreshadowing and early cameos. Here they finally are in the flesh! I initially intended to make them my sort of ''B'' segment cartoon but lately I'm leaning into making them more of a Kang and Kodos/Mr.Hankey deal where they only appear during their respective holiday season. This is also the first time Clover the puppy from my Hellhounds student movie has a proper speaking appearance in this series so I guess he's officially carried over from that. I may make my next cartoon feature Snowball, the other doggie that stole the heart of my classmates back in the spring.~~~~~~~~~~Sound courtesy of Pixabay Music:"Teddy Bear Waltz" Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com)Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 4.0 Licensehttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! Watch on YouTube

Rick's tendency to say the wrong thing at the wrong time ends up alienating his classmates! Rated M for strong language, lots of cartoon violence, innuendo, and crude humor. ~~~~~~~~~My first non-class animation project is finally complete! I originally wrote this one back in December but put on hold throughout my spring semester to lead production on Hellhounds. I resumed in June, where it underwent a rewrite to include more jokes. With that said, this'll likely be my only cartoon longer than 5 minutes for a while, future ones to be closer to 2-4 minutes because I want to have a more consistent upload schedule. AND NOW... OUT OF TUNE (Cartoon Pilot)

After working on this from September-April 2023-2024, I am delighted to showcase my thesis film, "COME BACK TO WHAT YOU KNOW." This was an emotionally heavy piece, and when I was first drafting concepts for my film, a part of me worried that I wouldn't be able to pull this off. But with the support of my professors, friends, and classmates, I was able to bring this project to fruition. Making a film about my experiences in a predatory and abusive relationship has been one of the most eye-opening and therapeutic experiences in my life, and being able to reclaim my story and identity in a way that is empowering has helped me feel more secure in who I am and my place in not only in my interpersonal relationships but my place in the world. Beyond my own experiences, my goal for this film is to provide comfort and visibility for others who have experienced trauma similar to mine. I vividly remember as a teenager, in the throes of being stuck with my abuser, thinking that I would never make it to adulthood. I have proven my younger self wrong, and am in a happier, better place. Above all else, I want this film to be a reminder to anyone who has or is currently going through grooming and abuse that this will not be your grave, and the future you want is in your control. Special thanks tosmileyjuiice for helping me with the VHS transferTorchkas, who permitted me to use her music in my filmMCA Animation Faculty and the 2023-2024 Animation Thesis class for being encouraging and pushing me to make my film what it isMy uncles, cousins, and sisters for being a safe space and supporting me for who I am I hope you find closure in this film as much as I did. Thank you for watching. JC x

Based on real events, leaked here on my newgrounds posts :)

Sorry this anime short was unexpected, i actually leaked it on my posts here, anyways, I've got this anime short idea randomly when august was ending, my nerves of getting on my university for the first time got me to animate this silly thing xD, so i'll explain, this was based on some videos i recorded for my Whatsapp stories, and then tried to make an history based on my nerves and fear i had about failing to socializate irl, as i always failed on my previous school years (reminder: dont make frens if you're not on college or university yet) then after starting my university, i got friends in no time somehow, wich im very happy to know, even some classmates including teachers know that i have this channel for animating my stuff, both on youtube and newgrounds (yes is an animation university) but out of that, i started calling it "The U" instead of just the university And about these desings, these wont apply for OVAs or another anime shorts, these are 15th anniversary exclusive i wanted to draw for some reason, and yes, this has a purpose to be a toy story or raggedy ann & andy a musical adventure parody or something, but mixing irl backgrounds and animated characters The designs, they were very fun to put to my plushies cuz i said "yippe they're all dressed up for their 15th anniversary" then wanted to draw them with those, to finally come up with this anime short idea randomly to include'em here, here they are, hope you like em :)so that's all, enjoy :) and a little shoutout to my big sister for voicing as Blue Knight once again and for telling me to post this at 3:33 am, picos Aby toda cool, si le sabes xD Youtube version
