if you had a kid, would you make them you?

hello!!! so a lot of really cool things happened; I got asked to write a song to feature on a Vocaloid/voice synth emo compilation, and now I've made a music video to go for it! ^ o^)9 this is my song "underneath the sun", track #6 on the "eingebrannt" compilation album!!!! come check it out, if you love singing robots and angsty rock music! hehe.https://tatsuyakitani.com/eingebrannt/ the song's about that feeling, of everything a child could say to those that brought them up, but still limits the things they can do, and the things they can be. it's something I've personally related to for a very long time, and I feel like I'm not the only one.this MV's a mix of a lot of things; B-roll travel footage, geometry, typography, character illustrations and silhouettes, 3D compositions; I feel like I can really do a lot of things with my options now hehe. I really wanted to go all-out with this. I hope you like it too! ^^ song and visuals by ippo.tsk (me!)https://bsky.app/profile/ippotsk.bsky.socialhttps://www.ippotsk.comget the song:https://ippotsk.bandcamp.com/album/underneath-the-sun-2https://ampwall.com/a/ippotsk/album/underneath-the-sun lyrics:verse:raw distance to mask the pain of the hearthow far do you wanna take this?far enough to match the way you gave up I'm ready for one more fake kisseasy to shelve, your hopes and your dreamsbut it's easier when you can shove them onto meso what's next? prechorus:don't be surprised that I'd rejectall the hands that kept me fed, upwithout asking, much less begI've spent too much, received too little if this ain't good enough, then I am as good as it will get'cause once I walk out of that door, you cannot use my name again chorus:underneath the sun, we mournreplay the tape until it fadesand your eyes grow sore'cause underneath the sun, we burnbut we are also free verse 2:"the time is up, you said you've amounted to some, how long must I keep you on the shelf?"long enough to make you proud, Oberonis this any way to treat myself?reasonable, never werebut I, too, have never learned"care can also be a curse" chorus 2: underneath the sunday morn' we play the part until we break, and it's all we knowbut underneath the sun, we burnyet we are all so free bridge:if you are someone with the meansand in no rush to be fedlet your children try their dreamsand acknowledge where they're headedbefore you say "not good enough"know that they're as good as you will get'cause even though you know best, you will never be them chorus 3:underneath the sun, we mournreplay the tape until it fadesand your eyes grow soreunderneath the sun, we burnbut we are also free remember, you are yours aloneto fly.

underneath the sun (MV)

The Russian Bat ExperimentDuring the Cold War, Soviet scientists in Magadan began experiments weaponizing nature itself. They wanted to spread deadly viruses over enemy borders using small animals as carriers. The laboratory-made viruses were so potent that they killed most animals instantly, which presented a logical challenge for the scientists... to find a vector that could survive the virus when humans could not. They decided to try vampire bats. These were ideal creatures because they were accustomed to feasting on the blood of diseased and dead animals and had natural immunity to some of the manufactured viruses’ deadliest features.Unfortunately, these tropical bats could not survive the brutal Russian winter, even in a controlled environment. The project stalled until they could breed a new type of resilient vampire bat. One with thick fur, a robust constitution, and an increased blood storage capacity. Augmented by Pleistocene gene splicing and radiation exposure, the scientists produced twelve abnormally large vampire bats suitable for the toughest climates. Despite their size and density, when they were injected with the deadly virus these genetic monsters withered and died. All except one. A very special bat. This test subject was much larger than the others. Perhaps that is why he could endure the deadly chemicals injected into his veins. His oily wings were heavy and the thick leather membrane squeaked when he splayed his clawed fingers. His belly was swollen and he breathed in long, loud gasps. Most horrifying of all and unlike any bat every recorded, this creature could speak. He called himself HUGO.The scientists, terrified yet driven by the overmastering spell of discovery, attempted to train Hugo. They spoke to him and taught him the rudiments of reading and writing. In time, he could carry a conversation with his “hosts” as he called them. When he performed his tasks well he was rewarded with blood that was drawn from political prisoners in the Gulag and stored in huge vats. Hugo drank, and drank, and drank. The more blood he took in, the more he needed. He demanded more and refused to cooperate with the training regimen. Eventually he reversed the scientists’ role. Instead of rewarding him with blood when he performed to their expectations, he had trained them to provide blood in exchange for compliance. When he was interrogated by intelligence officials about his creators Hugo laughed, and in a guttural voice, sticky and wet, he called the researchers “little meat packets.”Once, when looking at a picture of the night sky, Hugo spoke his true mind. He wanted to be set free from the laboratory so he might “taste all the kinds of blood in the world.” “Let me fly,” he Demanded in tone that hinted of mockery and threat. “You keep me here. You deprive me. You starve me.”The overseers of the project had condemned the project long before. The plans to disperse viruses through animal vectors was deemed unreasonably dangerous. They had only allowed Hugo to exist thus far out of sheer, horrified curiosity. Despite the scientific opportunities such a creature presented, authorities commanded Hugo’s termination. An execution squad armed with rifles marched into the laboratory with orders to arrest the scientists and destroy all evidence of their abominable work. But they were too late. The entire research staff was dead. They lay curled in contorted positions, drained, shrink wrapped in their own pallid skin and collapsing inward like emptied sacks. Hugo had vanished, but before he left he had scrawled with the tip of his claw on the outside of the facility... “Fresh blood tastes best.”Reports arrived two days later from the nearest Gulag. All of the prisoners and guards were reduced to leathery husks. Not a single drop of blood remained in their veins. Victims were found all along the so-called “Road of Bones”, the path Hugo had taken on his way into the heartland of Russia. Then, suddenly, in the deep cold of winter, the killings stopped. The rampage ended.Few records survived the purges, but one NKVD memo marked “Not for Distribution” declared the “Experiment was Contained.” Decades passed in relative silence. Rumors were squashed with ridicule. Families of the decedents were paid off or threatened into silence. “Hugo” became a boogeyman to frighten unruly children. That was, until two years ago when a derelict fishing trawler was found on Turkey’s Black Sea coast. Inside, every crewman was dead. Pale, their veins collapsed, drained of blood. Their skeletons were wrapped in dry skin, twisted into positions of eternal agony. Only one piece of evidence hinted at the cause. Scratched into the rusted iron hull of the ship were the words:“Hugo is Famished”.......................... Spread this creepypasta far and wide! You have but emerged from primitive conditions: we have a literature, a priesthood, an agelong history and a polity.Nile.Child, man, effigy.By the Nilebank the babemaries kneel, cradle of bulrushes: a man supple in combat: stonehorned, stonebearded, heart of stone.— You pray to a local and obscure idol: our temples, majestic and mysterious, are the abodes of Isis and Osiris, of Horus and Ammon Ra. Yours serfdom, awe and humbleness: ours thunder and the seas. Israel is weak and few are her children: Egypt is an host and terrible are her arms. Vagrants and daylabourers are you called: the world trembles at our name.A dumb belch of hunger cleft his speech. He lifted his voice above it boldly:— But, ladies and gentlemen, had the youthful Moses listened to and accepted that view of life, had he bowed his head and bowed his will and bowed his spirit before that arrogant admonition he would never have brought the chosen people out of their house of bondage nor followed the pillar of the cloud by day. He would never have spoken with the Eternal amid lightnings on Sinai's mountaintop nor ever have come down with the light of inspiration shining in his countenance and bearing in his arms the tables of the law, graven in the language of the outlaw.

A short Haloween thing based on "Robert the Doll" (Warning: Something pops up at the end.) Before you see this 15 sec animation read this passage about him taken from good ol Wikipedia: "Robert, otherwise known as Robert the Doll[1], Robert the Haunted Doll[2][3][4], or Robert the Devil Doll[5]; is a doll that was once owned by Key West painter and author Robert Eugene Otto. The doll is alleged to be possesed by evil spirits and has a terrifying reputation. The doll, which is allegedly cursed, has become a fixture of ghost tours in the Key West area since it was inducted into the Fort East Martello Museum. Aesthetically, Robert resembles an early 20th century American Naval officer. Contrary to popular belief, however, the doll's hair is not made of human hair, but rather, it consists of a synthetic material resembling wool yarn.[6] Eugene was given the doll in 1904 by an African servant who, according to legend, was skilled in black magic and voodoo and was displeased with the family. Soon afterward it became clear that there was something eerie about the doll. Eugene's parents said they often heard him talking to the doll and that the doll appeared to be talking back. Although at first they assumed that Eugene was simply answering himself in a changed voice, they later believed that the doll was actually speaking. Neighbors claimed to see the doll moving from window to window when the family was out. The Otto family swore that sometimes the doll would emit a terrifying giggle and that they caught glimpses of it running from room to room. In the night Eugene would scream, and when his parents ran to the room they would find furniture knocked over and Eugene in bed, looking incredibly scared, telling them that "Robert did it!". In addition, guests swore the saw Robert's expression change before their eyes. When Eugene died in 1974, the doll was left in the attic until the house was bought again. The new family included a ten year old girl, who became Robert's new owner. It was not long before the girl began screaming out in the night, claiming that Robert moved about the room and even attempted to attack her on multiple occasions. More than thirty years later, she still tells interviewers that the doll was alive and wanted to kill her.[7] The doll is annually rotated to the Old Post Office and Customhouse in October, with museum staff claiming that strange activity in the museum increases during such times. The doll made an appearance at Taps CON [8], a paranormal convention held in Clearwater, Florida in May 2008. This was the first time that it had left Key West, Florida in the 105 years of its existence. Individuals who desire to visit Robert in the Fort East Martello Museum and wish to take a picture of him, according to legend, the person must ask the doll politely, and if he does not agree (by tipping his head to one side) and the individual takes a picture anyway, then the doll will curse the person and their family.[9] The movie Child's Play was inspired by Robert the Doll.[10] The manga-style picture book, Evangeline, by joPYON was inspired by Robert the Doll.[11]" There HAPPY?
