Buzz Bunny... Well, erm... Burns the blunt I supopose.

So this is a bit of an unanticipated upload but the next Screwypilled Tooncels cartoon still isn't complete and I'm trying to relax on my California trip since it's not that long(next time I wanna stay longer for SURE though I love it here) despite me initially wanting to have completed it here so I can say I made a cartoon in California.... I still wanted to deliver something though and I remembered Dirty Soda had a character, Dizzy, from this cartoon. This is my Illustration class project final, originally screened on April 24th of this year. I wanted to use my animation expertise in a classroom full of Graphic Design majors, though the animation is very limited since it wasn't an animation class. It almost looks like Rocky and Bullwinkle at times. But everyone was absolutely howling. I made some changes from the version I showed in class though, you can see that version on YouTube. Namely, I changed the background music to Ghost of Sheperd's Pie by Geoffrey Burch because apparently Happy Go-Lively by Laurie Johnson from the Ren and Stimpy soundtrack isn't public domain/copyright-free despite feeling like it should be tbh, and I didn't find out until after I had made that version. I also got rid of the film grain since that was actually added at the request of my professor when I explained I was parodying old PSA cartoons like One Beer and Sonic Sez, and changed the name to Buzz Bunny Burns The Blunt to differentiate it from the Screwypilled Tooncels One Joint cartoon. Another key difference is that I restored the suicide joke cut from the version I presented in class. But enough yapping, you guys let me know which version you like best. Here's concept art. I initially tried making Buzz look as stupid as fuck as possible. Just look at this idiot: As well as this comic version I made to present to my class alongside the animated version to promote my portfolio site to classmates:

The Sadie Show Shorties: A Little Pride Post

behold. my fuckass animatic for storyboarding class this also gives me the opportunity to start something i'd been thinking of for a while; the ~tidbits collection~ as i work on bird of prey i end up with a ton of blorbos that i LOVE playing dolls with that i just cannot fully explore within the main story. scope too big or something. so, the tidbits collection will be a, well, collection, of side stories; little skits and such. i was debating whether to do it in comic or animated(or in this instance and maybe more, just animatic) form but perhaps i'll just do a bit of whatever, however i feel like it. that's kinda how i do things already i think? i had a limit of 90 seconds, which was a tad stressful because i had to cut a bunch of stuff for time... my poor gagsthere was also a requirement for like at least one colored shot so i tried to do something. lol. if i had more time it definitely would've been... maybe less jarring, but deffo more flashy special thanks to @the-urban-legend and @demonthingy for providing voices, especially on such short notice ;w;i have a version of this that's just me doing the voices because i wasn't sure if i'd get anyone on board in the first place

VOODOO VIDS EPISODE 4: IN BRUCE WE TRUST Episode 4 is upon us and I hope you enjoy it! I'm aware that many people may not have seen the original Evil Dead movie. And you don't need to have seen it to have some fun in this episode, but there are a lot of references here that are connected to the Evil Dead series. If you want some more context before watching, maybe check out the last edition of the Spooky Zine. ABOUT THE SPOOKY ZINEThe spooky zine is a once a month mini mag that explores some more of the local lore and connects with the episodes and world of voodoo vids in a way that's external to the animation. They are a bit of fun, but also can contain wider context for viewers that want to have some additional context. Or maybe you just want to read more about what's happening in the wider universe. A LOVE LETTER TO EVIL DEADThis episode is a love letter to Evil Dead and nods to the horror classic in certain ways I hope you would find nostalgic and at the same time, perhaps encourage some new people to seek out The Evil dead movies if you haven't seen them. You have to have a passion for old school splatter gore horror. But it's got a great blend of gore and comic styled over the top supernatural elements that are sure to delight, and Bruce Campbell is just brilliant as Ash Williams. I'm super excited to learn that there are rumors Bruce may even return to the movies in some capacity. I know currently Bruce is battling cancer, which is awful news, but as he said himself, "Fear not, I am a tough old son-of-a-bitch".I along with many fans are wishing him a good battle and hope he gets well soon! I'd love to see him on the big screen in Evil Dead again! Beyond this point there will be episode 4 spoilers so return to read the rest after you've seen the episode. BEHIND THE SCENES OF EPISODE 4This episode took a lot longer to make than the others, I hope that shows and also thank you for your patience. The script went through a few re writes and last minute changes that extended the runtime. Having every character in a single episode comes with more challenges, making sure to give each of them a good scene. But I think it was worth it as if you like any character in particular they are all present in this one. THAT ICONIC INTROIf you are familiar with Evil Dead you will have noticed I did my best to pay homage to the opener from Evil Dead 2 that explains the Necronomicon's origins. Making that was so much fun, animating the front cover of the book, combining it with some stock footage of an ocean that I tinted red, and for the "ink effect" on the page reveals I used some simple track mattes of real ink drop footage to do that. I love how it turned out.I also did the narration in the intro, I rearranged elements of the original script to work better with the set up for this parody. My goal was to allow people who've never heard of, or watched Evil dead to get up to speed as quickly as possible with the idea that "this book is bad news" TECHNICAL STUFFOne of the biggest challenges is creating new environments and props. Something you see on screen for a few seconds in a few shots has had to be created from scratch. Some times I over engineer stuff too and I probably could've made the chainsaw without an actually animated chain... but because I did, It allowed me to get some cool camera angles of it in action. Same can be said for the shotgun that Franklin is using. it is based of the same model they used in Evil Dead 2, the original film Ash used a single barreled Winchester, but the sequel it was a 12 guage double barrel Stevens model, and later in the 3rd movie it was a double barrel Stoeger Coach Gun, which is lovingly referred to now as "The Boomstick"Ash famously saws the barrel off in Evil Dead 2. Of course I needed a forest. Not any easy set to build but I made it easy by cutting a lot of corners, the whole forest set is just a simple plane with a particle system placing tree images randomly across the surface.I made it within an hour and the lighting is doing most of the heavy lifting. which is again fairly simple. I like my renders to not take AGES. Most of the animation scenes take about 4-5 seconds per frame. So the forest was as basic as it needed to be. Paul's date cutaway was another external set that required a suburban feel to it. so I modeled some simple houses and kept camera angles to a minimum and focused only on what I needed. it was a very short scene so keeping the set small was important... but I could probably use it again in future should the need arise.Voodoo Vids itself as a set is the biggest and most detailed because I wanted a space where I can point the camera pretty much anywhere and have a great shot. A lot of time was spent on that, but it still needs work and more will come to the set eventually. Another huge time save has been using multiple cameras within the same scene and swapping between them. traditionally I would've worked on one scene per camera shot, but using Blenders camera marker system I can have multiple cameras that I can cut to whenever I need. so I can animate the whole scene in one blend file. This also makes it easier to alter small parts or fix things in post easier without having to dig through a load of different scene files. MUFFINMuffin the Dog was referenced in the Spooky Zine and fun fact, he is voiced by our own dog Podrick. Recording his various noises is fun. To get his taco crunching sounds we used a Poppadom, he very much enjoys working with us when there's food involved. The next two episodes will probably be a little shorter again too not keep the gaps too long between them. AND for the finale there's going to be another great addition to the page that you can all experience and join in. more on that soon.We may even see some more new characters too!! FINAL NOTEThank you all for watching and a special thanks to Bruce Campbell and Director Sam Raimi for making a bonkers horror franchise that inspires fans and creators still to this day.As for Voodoo Vids please share it if you can, tell people about It! Your support is greatly appreciated with every like, vote, comment. It will be available on youtube next week, right now they remain as Newgrounds exclusives at launch. If you want to know anything else about production or things I've not mentioned here, then please ask. more than happy to answer any questions.See you in the next one! and look out for the next edition of the Spooky Zine for some more info soon!

For this piece, the focus was entirely on the "Invisible Story" of the room. I want you to feel the static in the air, the claustrophobia of the security office, and the suffocating heat radiating from those monitors.Vanny has you exactly where she wants you, and the smugness behind that mask is absolute.🔪 Like the vibe and want your own characters brought into the neon shadows? This is an animated short based on a fan art comic I made in the early 2000s. I was speculating on how the Pain elemental would gain the ability to spit lost souls, then I noticed there were these skulls and heads impaled on poles, and could be spotted in some levels of the game. The original sprites were gorier, so for this animation I drew clean skulls instead. I’m not updated on the current game lore, so I don’t know if an official explanation for his abilities has been added yet.--------------------------------------------About the animation: It took me more than expected...I was working it by bits during “free time”,I learned a lot!Planning and setting the scenes was easy, it was the inbetweening and clean up process that ate up most of the time X_X, so much that I constantly delayed the video release...and I did cut a lot of corners X_X. I’m not quite satisfied with the flames on the lost souls... I’ll consider new techniques for future animations. I used Clip Studio, Videopad, BlastFX, Audacity,PD howler was used for the creation of some of the mountains, other bits of the background are actual photos of mountains and clouds, and I also drew and painted some of the sky and the floor traditionally with colored pencil and gouache.I used some sound effects from the original game, I used some of the clips to convey the demons’ different emotions (even though they weren’t lore accurate and were originally assigned to different demons) I edited the speed on some of them for extra comedic effects, and some others were made by me (the white noise for “the Mars ambience” which is just a recording of a spinning fan in slow motion, the cracking of the skulls which are originally pecans being crushed, wheezing and sputter sounds, and a frog squishy toy) I crammed as much as I could, and I still have a lot to learn XD. Hopefully it’s a watchable story for you!

its been awhile hasn't it? I make promises but I truthfully have been tired and taking huge breaks, even from some projects. I am possibly thinking of dropping out of the one since idk how to make an asset and I haven't gotten that experienced even tho I want to make the animation (Mario Movie Reanimated) Powerstar right now is something I adore and making content, as I want to still make Devil Mario vs Goku & Vegeta soon, along with some others which I may announce soon, we will see. This animation is my take on the Goku Black Saga when Goku gets cornered and stabbed in the chest, but I also saw an epic Sonic Comic made by a fan which made sonic power up into Dark Super Sonic against Scourge (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPEyamXCxRg&list=LL&index=3). This is my take on these two but in Powerstar with SMBZ style Mario, so I do hope you guys enjoy this short animation. Ty and Friends - Undefeatable So, let me start with some backstory. I started this atleast 12 months ago, still recovering from the whiplash of the Sonic Frontiers emotional rollercoaster. Specifically that tasty soundtrack- hoh my hod. One day i decided: I GOTTA stop animating these things in my head, and start putting pen to.. tablet. So I was off and running. I hadn't planned to do any more than like, a few words, showcase a couple action scenes, then sorta cut it off randomly but, hell, I couldn't stop myself. The sheer energy and force of the song drove me to finish atleast the whole chorus and outro, and so, here we are. Now you're probably wondering, what the hell is going on in this animation??? Well, this is just a visual guide of Ty (red flannel)'s journey as card (purple suit guy) sends him down memory lane, starting back at the extinction event, where everyone died except Ty, then, 100 years later, death is trying to kill Ty when he harnesses his POISON form, which eventually he succumbs to, which is where Ty and Friends: Project Alpha starts, and Ty runs through the gateway to the afterlife, then, the Uncomfortable Machine, then into hell, and after a nice long adventure in between, Ty ends up toe to toe once again with Card himself, this time both of them are powered up on a cosmic level. TL:DR, it's basically a showcase of Ty's adventure. anyhoo, thank you all once again for your support. I know animations have been dry this year, and i've tried to sustain interest via art, but, yeah, you can only do so much before burning out. i'll try and do more simple easy stuff like the intelligent exchange animation just to fill in gaps (with no dip in quality obviously) but yeah. Thank you all (:

Jim manages to escape from Monster Island!

It’s a silent film... WINNER OF THE COVETED PBOT DAILY PICK AWARD FOR SAT FEB 20th 2021! My acceptance speech:https://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/topic/1464715 DIRECTORS COMMENTARYThis is the big escape from Monster Island scene it’s got fantastic stunts in it I was going to have Jim pick up the Jet Ski at one point but then I looked at how much jet ski’s weigh and I was like he can never lift that much weight! So I just put it in a river if you look closely at the Jet Ski during the jump at the waterfall you can see Jim’s stunt double who was a guy named Ricardo that I met one day just outside of a gas station he was enjoying a slushy and eating a sandwich the two of us got to talking and I told him that he looked exactly like Jim and I asked him if he wanted to be in the movie and he said yes! The Jet Ski jump scene took 376 takes and Ricardo broke 97 bones but we finally got the footage! Ricardo is actually seen in another part of this scene the part where Jim jumps off the Jet Ski into the water sadly due to Ricardo’s severe injuries from the previous stunt he was actually killed while filming the stunt luckily we got the footage we needed on the first try! I wanted to include more guts falling out of the sky during the part where the Kraken explodes but the studio wouldn’t pay for it I’ll probably ad it into the Directors cut DVD version when it comes out though. The scuba diver wasn’t actually hired by the studio he just happened to be there while we were filming it’s such a shame that he was tragically eaten by that shark though.
