Sleep Paralysis Demon

In the bustling present day of December 2026, Chris Chan was living his best life in the spotlight. His hit 90s-style sitcom, "Chris Chan: Electric Dreams", penned by the legendary Chuck Lorre of Mike & Molly fame, was topping the charts. Better than any throwback show, it turned Chris's quirky world into laugh-out-loud gold: episodes full of Sonichu zapping trolls, awkward dates, and family moments that hit right in teh feels. Fame had finally arrived. Billboards, fan meetups, custom merch. He even won a snap election to become mayor of Ruckersville, Virginia in a landslide! His first executive order was to rename the town CWCville for real, obviously. Chris was on top of the world! As a kid, Chris had a rough start. His dang ol' dad, Bob, was a gruff handyman type, always tinkering and dropping wisdom like, "Life's full of splinters, son...watch where you step." And his mom, Barbara? To Chris, she was the most beautiful, stunning, gorgeous woman alive, an angel in human form who sewed his favorite shirts and cheered his wild ideas. Through bullies, Sega ruining the color of Sonics arms, and so, so, so many girls who were NOT boyfriend free, his parents guided him toward this moment of triumph. But one ordinary afternoon at the local Starbees, everything shifted. Sipping a Dubai Chocolate Bar Matcha Latte (Available at select Starbucks near you!), Chris spotted a familiar crew of dirty trolls in the corner: the OneyPlays gang. Cory Spazkid doodling hot ladies on a heavily used napkin, Chris (Not Chris Chan. A different Chris with an epic Youtube channel) cracking up, Lyle rizzing up some baddies, and Tomar casually munching on a delicious tree star as always, green and crunchy. "OMG, it's Chris Chan" Cory whispered. They waved him over awkwardly. Chris beamed, spilling latte while attempting to wave back. His Iconic Red stripped shirt was covered in the sticky goodness. This was it. His lowest moment. Then, his phone buzzed: breaking news. Electric Dreams canceled. Ratings crashed, critics slammed it as "too much," Chuck Lorre publicly un-alived. Fans flipped to a better show like Smiling Friends overnight. Chris froze, medallion dropping into the puddle of coffee. The cafe fell somber, fame evaporating like steam from a forgotten cup. Back home in his cluttered room, surrounded by faded dreams, Chris crumbled. Dad long gone, Mom too frail, loneliness hit hard. But a soft zap glowed from his medallion. Sonichu appeared, holographic and loyal. "C'mon buddy, let's run away to some other dimension, together." Chris hugged his old friend tight, tears falling. Fame's peak had led to the deepest valley, but in the quiet tragedy, that spark of imagination endured. The end. i’ve wanted to make this animation meme for a while since i really like the qt mod, but small animation memes like these don’t really get rated well. thats why i’m posting this on clock day to give it a better chance lol. original song is blissful (erect) from qt mod rewired procreate sucked so i had to frame by frame animate this. (i am just now realizing that most submissions are clock themed for clock day… whoops.)

Rap?! In a Feline Comic?! Sounds like YFM... Maybe...

With the power of music, Super Nothing and Admiral Aneurysm compete to sing the day! I would also like to apologise to everyone on behalf of my awful rapping skills LOL, my advice? Stuff marshmallows in your mouth, it won't do much, but you have tasty marshmallows! This entire song was composed and written by me, so blame me for the beat if it grows on you LOL.

I'm aware that many people may not have seen the original Evil Dead movie. And you don't need to have seen it to have some fun in this episode, but there are a lot of references here that are connected to the Evil Dead series. If you want some more context before watching, maybe check out the last edition of the Spooky Zine. ABOUT THE SPOOKY ZINEThe spooky zine is a once a month mini mag that explores some more of the local lore and connects with the episodes and world of voodoo vids in a way that's external to the animation. They are a bit of fun, but also can contain wider context for viewers that want to have some additional context. Or maybe you just want to read more about what's happening in the wider universe. A LOVE LETTER TO EVIL DEADThis episode is a love letter to Evil Dead and nods to the horror classic in certain ways I hope you would find nostalgic and at the same time, perhaps encourage some new people to seek out The Evil dead movies if you haven't seen them. You have to have a passion for old school splatter gore horror. But it's got a great blend of gore and comic styled over the top supernatural elements that are sure to delight, and Bruce Campbell is just brilliant as Ash Williams. I'm super excited to learn that there are rumors Bruce may even return to the movies in some capacity. I know currently Bruce is battling cancer, which is awful news, but as he said himself, "Fear not, I am a tough old son-of-a-bitch".I along with many fans are wishing him a good battle and hope he gets well soon! I'd love to see him on the big screen in Evil Dead again! Beyond this point there will be episode 4 spoilers so return to read the rest after you've seen the episode. BEHIND THE SCENES OF EPISODE 4This episode took a lot longer to make than the others, I hope that shows and also thank you for your patience. The script went through a few re writes and last minute changes that extended the runtime. Having every character in a single episode comes with more challenges, making sure to give each of them a good scene. But I think it was worth it as if you like any character in particular they are all present in this one. THAT ICONIC INTROIf you are familiar with Evil Dead you will have noticed I did my best to pay homage to the opener from Evil Dead 2 that explains the Necronomicon's origins. Making that was so much fun, animating the front cover of the book, combining it with some stock footage of an ocean that I tinted red, and for the "ink effect" on the page reveals I used some simple track mattes of real ink drop footage to do that. I love how it turned out.I also did the narration in the intro, I rearranged elements of the original script to work better with the set up for this parody. My goal was to allow people who've never heard of, or watched Evil dead to get up to speed as quickly as possible with the idea that "this book is bad news" TECHNICAL STUFFOne of the biggest challenges is creating new environments and props. Something you see on screen for a few seconds in a few shots has had to be created from scratch. Some times I over engineer stuff too and I probably could've made the chainsaw without an actually animated chain... but because I did, It allowed me to get some cool camera angles of it in action. Same can be said for the shotgun that Franklin is using. it is based of the same model they used in Evil Dead 2, the original film Ash used a single barreled Winchester, but the sequel it was a 12 guage double barrel Stevens model, and later in the 3rd movie it was a double barrel Stoeger Coach Gun, which is lovingly referred to now as "The Boomstick"Ash famously saws the barrel off in Evil Dead 2. Of course I needed a forest. Not any easy set to build but I made it easy by cutting a lot of corners, the whole forest set is just a simple plane with a particle system placing tree images randomly across the surface.I made it within an hour and the lighting is doing most of the heavy lifting. which is again fairly simple. I like my renders to not take AGES. Most of the animation scenes take about 4-5 seconds per frame. So the forest was as basic as it needed to be. Paul's date cutaway was another external set that required a suburban feel to it. so I modeled some simple houses and kept camera angles to a minimum and focused only on what I needed. it was a very short scene so keeping the set small was important... but I could probably use it again in future should the need arise.Voodoo Vids itself as a set is the biggest and most detailed because I wanted a space where I can point the camera pretty much anywhere and have a great shot. A lot of time was spent on that, but it still needs work and more will come to the set eventually. Another huge time save has been using multiple cameras within the same scene and swapping between them. traditionally I would've worked on one scene per camera shot, but using Blenders camera marker system I can have multiple cameras that I can cut to whenever I need. so I can animate the whole scene in one blend file. This also makes it easier to alter small parts or fix things in post easier without having to dig through a load of different scene files. MUFFINMuffin the Dog was referenced in the Spooky Zine and fun fact, he is voiced by our own dog Podrick. Recording his various noises is fun. To get his taco crunching sounds we used a Poppadom, he very much enjoys working with us when there's food involved. The next two episodes will probably be a little shorter again too not keep the gaps too long between them. AND for the finale there's going to be another great addition to the page that you can all experience and join in. more on that soon.We may even see some more new characters too!! FINAL NOTEThank you all for watching and a special thanks to Bruce Campbell and Director Sam Raimi for making a bonkers horror franchise that inspires fans and creators still to this day.As for Voodoo Vids please share it if you can, tell people about It! Your support is greatly appreciated with every like, vote, comment. It will be available on youtube next week, right now they remain as Newgrounds exclusives at launch. If you want to know anything else about production or things I've not mentioned here, then please ask. more than happy to answer any questions.See you in the next one! and look out for the next edition of the Spooky Zine for some more info soon!

In the first episode, Paul was a background reaction character for a single appearance... but I like how he looked so much that I decided maybe he is another regular. Of course, he is now a regular. Expect to see him haunting the shop more often. Some behind the scenes.I use blender for all the animation. I designed and made all the characters, painted their textures, rigged them... that has taken the longest to do. But now that I have them, essentially it's all about writing, animating and editing the final episode in premiere pro.You have to wear many hats with indie animation, often you do a bit of everything in the production pipeline. And to every animator that has had sleepless nights doing "one more shot" or "one more frame" to make their production happen. Well done. This stuff is HARD. AudioA lot of audio I gather from freesound.org Or i'll record some bits of foley myself. In this episode I sat in front of a microphone shaking a real VHS tape around to get the sound of it in the characters hands. The sound is something I try to spend a lot of time on. Panning the voices through different shots to make the characters feel like they are in the world, adding a subtle room ambient reverb, panning the voice audio when the character turns their head... Such a small thing, but it's the difference between audio that feels "in world" and audio that feels "stuck on top" Time ScalesEpisode 1 took around 2 weeks to do (not including building all the props and the sets etc) , but Episode 2 I managed in 4 days. The context of the episode matters too, If i need to make a bunch of unique props for the story that can take more time. but I could factor in an extra day to just model all the scene specific props. The exterior of Paul's house in this episode for example was a last minute addition. I had time to quickly model it. and light it. so was happy to get it in. Cinematographygetting those nice cinematic shots is important to me, so I spent a lot of time studying the rule of thirds, and other techniques like the golden ratio. If you want to up your game on camera shots. look into this stuff, it'll take you from a bad framing loser to a Hollywood champ in no time! Simple rules to follow and they yield good results. (knowing when to break them is important too) I'm enjoying discovering what kind of show this is turning out to be, I don't have a plan or massive future goal, I just want to explore, introduce new ideas, experiment with different skill sets and channel them all into this video shop.I've got a lot of ideas about more scenarios and characters to make. I'm always open to ideas too so if you want to add something to Voodoo Vids in some way get in touch, let's talk. If you've read this far then thank you, Some people aren't interested in this stuff, but I'd like to include it for those that do enjoy some more content to read after they (hopefully) enjoyed the short. Love to hear your feedback, thoughts in general. drop a comment even if its just to say Hi :) Bren.

TWO TRUCKS

Vincent Price has had a difficult day at the startling studio. He walks to his miserable mansion where he spots a coin as big as his head. The coin has a rich scent that sends him to the underworld. There the Fiend takes Vincent Price's soul and makes him suffer in a real-life horror movie. This a stop-motion short-film made with action figures and frame by frame movement.

The Cent of Death

This is the fifth episode of Roasted Meatloaf, originally made in 2022, marking a three year gap after the previous episode. The original production behind this episode was very complicated, though weirdly this version was much easier to adapt in some respects than the previous episode's adaptation. This episode marked an art shift in the series, relying much more on Inkscape than GIMP. Initially, GIMP wasn't going to be involved at all, but then there were some issues I had to fix that were a bit complicated to fix in Inkscape so I used GIMP to help (I had gotten GIMP back on my computer by this point.) One problem with the art style here in my opinion is that a lot of things don't really have as much texture as they might have had before. It has a more flat feel. Nonetheless, I guess it was good to play around with what Inkscape could do. Both GIMP and Inkscape would continue to be used for later episodes. I did a bit of chroma key/green screen experimentation in this episode. I sort of did that in the previous episode, except not as successfully. I initially wanted to use green screen for the part where Jeff is on the TV in that episode but ultimately I just poorly composited the clip over top of it. In this episode, however, I managed to rather efficiently use green screen to put in two vehicles. Another thing I experimented with were the transition effects available from Pitivi. Only two transitions really appear, but nonetheless they were fun to play with I guess. Characters from previous episodes make some cameos as extras in a crowd, albeit most of them in a redesigned Inkscape form. Some other extras are subtle pastiches of characters from pop culture, although one or two of them were ultimately altered a bit as to not look too similar to what they were referencing. Copyright/right of publicity concerns got to me a little bit again. Speaking of copyright, the only sound I really had to change in this production was the "wee" sound, which, like in the other episodes, was originally a different "wee" sound with a conflicting license. Pretty much all the other sounds were fine. Exporting was a slightly bigger obstacle. Like the previous episode, when I exported through Clipchamp it resulted in some weird graininess in some parts. Again, I had to employ the help of Blender's video editor to get a cleaner result. Pitivi was used for the bulk of original production, but there might have been a bit of OpenShot involvement as well. I decided to include it in the credits just in case. A few different screen recorders were involved in the animation process. One of them was recordMyDesktop, which I had used in the previous episodes, but others included Deepin Screen Recorder, Peek, and VLC's built-in recorder. I think I lost access to recordMyDesktop at some point in production which explains why this occurred. recordMyDesktop would ultimately be retired from usage in later episodes as I moved towards new and better tools for making animation. The card that honors people who have died in recent years originally listed some names of notable people, but I ultimately removed the names because I felt like it wasn't necessary to elevate anyone above everyone else. One extra who appears is based on the Rush drummer Neil Peart, who had died in 2020. Originally he was going to be a pseudo-Force ghost in reference to one tribute I saw that was an edit of a Return of the Jedi frame, but ultimately I decided that might be taken the wrong way and seen as poor taste so instead I made him a guy who plays drums (the sound for which I made using Online Sequencer.) Neil had a mustache at one point so that's why the guy has a mustache; he was sort of a conglomeration of Neil's appearances in life so as to not realistically resemble him too much (due to potential publicity rights concerns.) The WHAT News broadcast also contains a small reference to Rush as another tribute. The WHAT News anchor is voiced by my dad, who is credited under a pseudonym. He also has connections with the band that created the outro song, hence its usage. Well, that's all I'll say for now. Hope you enjoy, but it's okay if you don't.

An SFM recreation of that JayDaddy video with audio by Alex the Doggo

EXTREME GORE WARNING! An SFM recreation of that JayDaddy video with the audio by Alex the Doggo and a little something extra The amount of custom models in this is insane. I ported all Postal 4 assets seen, even The Dude, as the current version is different than the Gmod model. This has been done with the personal blessing of Running With Scissors. Some easter eggs:

The dude is smoking crack when Art enters.

The Rocket Launcher is running DOOM in reference to an easter egg in Rage

The Rocket Launcher also has The Gandalf head bob gif loop

The Chainsaw scene is based off the climax of Evil Dead 2013

When Dude shoots Freddy, it's based off the climax of Ghost Rider when he shoots the gun at Legion, but it's too short to tell that

This is what I consider my Magnum Opus currently because I feel proud for managing to make the trash bag move like a trash bag does, especially when Art is trying to rip out of it. This was done purely through experimentation and guesswork using flexes and custom bones on the Left 4 Dead trash bag model, and I am extremely happy that it turned out as something very comfortable and easy (for the most part) to animate with no issues in the final product. Art ACTUALLY rips out of the bag, the bag shakes around like he's inside of it, and the hole actually expands as he rips out. Also, despite all of that, the hardest part to animate was "Gucky"Not because of the mask, or the rig of the model, but because of how precise the movement had to be to look convincing. I spent two weeks on it alone out of the 30 days I spent animating this. The perk of being an autistic unemployed fuck (thanks for the genes, mom!) (no, seriously. Diagnosed in 2005, baby!) is that you have all day to do nothing but animate. I even kept experimenting with re-rigging the bones on the coat to make them move more realistically, but it didn't turn out how I wanted.Notice how GUCKY is in an awkward pose. I wanted him on a better pose, but the rotation looked very unsmooth when I did so and this segways into the next frame better. Also notice the coat's strange dome-like shape. I couldn't figure out how to fix it. Hopefully Postal 4 one day adds physics itself and re-optimizes the model to have it. The model "supports" it "for a future update" that was teased years ago - this pretty much means that its legs and the coat are separate. However, the shirt and coat are fused, so I can't get it as loose as I want, so I've decided to add a belt to future edits, although my last belt edit is totally gone due to a hard drive crash on my secondary workstation. Dude has re-kindled his inner child and loves playing with toys again. The lore I came up with is that Chucky's spirit was transferred into a mask of his own face, and then Chucky put it on and Gary took over his body. Gary can only rest when he kills his killer. Being that this is Postal, the timeline diverges from ours, but nobody in Postal stays dead, either due to psychosis or something from the local military bases, maybe even both. I just know that it smells like shoe polish all the time in this fucking shithole of a city. SO LONG AND GOODNIGHT! Music used: BFG division I'd also like to thank my Autism for making my special interest Postal instead of something cool like trains, computers (it is one, but not THE one), or Hulk: Ultimate Destruction for the Playstation 2. This is a fananimation about Touhou:Project & Madness Combat

This is definitely the most painstaking work to date. It took nine months, and almost every day was spent on its creation. Every frame, every drawing, finally came to fruition.Note: This animation contains some bloody wounds and violent action descriptions. If you feel uncomfortable, please exit immediately. Also, this work is a re-creation, so please do not watch it completely as if it were the original. After dealing with the guardian yokai, they took a short break and Reimu and Marisa decided to act separately, attacking from two different directions.Reimu: "Hey! I need you to enter from a hidden place as a plan B."Marisa: "Then what about you?"Reimu: "Me? I'll be responsible for eliminating all the obstacles in front of us head-on."Marisa: "I don't understand. We could have acted together, right?"Reimu: "Those guys will definitely deploy their main elite forces against me, willing to do anything to stop me. If something happens to me, at least you'll be fine, won't you?" Thank you all very much for your support of this animation. Additionally, I would like to express my special gratitude to "FH KEviL WenBoSt". He has made significant efforts for this animation project, including but not limited to resetting hand and foot materials, drawing various melee weapons from games like Rockstar, the Infinity Blade series, and various online images, high-quality gun materials, shell materials, reference materials for his own baton (the silhouette of the poster of Red Dead Redemption 2), bolt-action rifles (the background silhouette of the "Little Devil" poster), bullet hole materials, modified background furniture materials based on the "Gun Blood" background, multi-angle furniture, the fast food of Burger Gil, the devil's sunglasses, the shattered sunglasses materials, the built-in animations of the gun, the flying wing animation, the close-up animation of Ling, the subtitle effect animation, the rolling wooden barrel animation, the built-in clock animation, the shell rotation animation, the tea pouring animation effect of the Easter egg scene, the hitting effect, the overall material package of the work organization, the integration of sound effects from various packages and websites, all sound effect tuning, the production of all versions of watermarks, the adjustment for the compatibility of an and flash conversions, the production of 4K quality videos. And many other matters of assistance. For a person with high execution ability and high technical strength, who has a strong passion for the work, is hardworking, a talented person and a friend, this effort and love are invaluable. Thank you, my friend.Happy Madness Day 2025!

Cartoon and Dot Matrix style visual remake.

An early attempt of NORS to branch out into food reviews has been remade exclusively for Newgrounds into a simple animation through the elements of our moderately successful recent uploads. Another day was spent gratuitously breaking down and repainting Jasper and Gaius' first Publix food review video and trying to be sure to use just the right effects to accompany the frames for this simple animation. Original video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AsEmNJxgI38 On Another Note: Big Progress on Our Music Video Adventure! We’ve infused some enchanting elements inspired by Strawberry Switchblade, added delightful glitchy rotoscoping magic, and embraced vaporwave aesthetics in our latest edits. Stay tuned because we can’t wait to unveil more magic soon. Your support means everything as we pour our hearts into every frame. blog.spacehey.com/entry?id=1025559

"Did you really think love could break the spell on your brother? You've watched one too many romcoms, Twilight Sparkle. Love had nothing to do with it. I did things to him that broke his mind, and the slime is going to give you a little taste of it..." Corruption Pod YCH for Shadowdath. Boy do I have a lot to say about this, because from day one, this animation felt like it was alive and fighting me. I would like to state clearly, for the record, that this was NOT the fault of the commissioner, but rather my own inexperience with animation and POSSIBLY a spiteful machine-spirit (Maybe even a gremlin, gnome, imp, boggart, fairy, demonic entity, or some other cryptid or paranormal entity) At first everything seemed peachy. Parts were being made. The background was ready to go. All I had to do is string them together. Easy peasy? Haha NO! I'd move a certain peg, and it would pull a cell out of place. So I'd try to put that piece back in place, and the peg would move it out again. So I'd go put it back... etcetera. For those who do not understand the terminology, imagine this: Say you have twilight's head. Now say you have to move twilight's head to the right in one frame. Now you go back to the previous frame, and the head is like an inch off the neck. Yeah, this happened over and over. If I was quiet, I could almost hear the program laughing at me. This caused me many many ragequits over the months. That's when I learned... Pegs are for *characters* not *character parts.* So I had to rip all the pegs out and reposition the parts manually. So basically I had to do it all over, and even then it was prone to popping out of place. If that sounds like fun to you, might I suggest you return to the hellraiser dimension you came forth from. Then... came the exporting. If I ever needed proof that this thing was alive and fighting me, this was it. So I had my animation all ready to go. I click export... then "video settings" and... nothing. I click "ok" and then... nothing. I did this maybe five times, even REINSTALLED THE WHOLE THING (google was ZERO help) and I could feel a headache building. Then I tried exporting as a PNG sequence... that worked. So I figured I could just get it made into a video, right? I'll just google a way to do that and... yeah, Google is about as useful as an AI Artist when their power grid goes down. Blender had video editing software, but to my horror it exported this 500 frame, 16 second, 700 x 935 video... as a 1.18 gigabyte video. Something that I could never share over discord, or even e-mail to shadowdath. All hope seemed lost, but then I found OpenShot, a free video editor. It let me make the video into something that was a paltry 27mb but with a catch: It had to be 1080p. VeryWell.jpeg. Even now at the time of posting, it feels like it tries to resist (making the description permanently buffer with "saving?" What a grand and intoxicating innocence!) I'll even bet that this whole description will surpass the character limit and I will be forced to make a journal. But if you are reading this, I have persevered and uploaded. And I'm like a hundred bux richer. Suck it! tl;dr: I've been to hell and worse with this animation. But I have conquered it. Because I am *man.* I am Machine's *god!* More trivia with this animation: -Chrysalis' appearance, and the Changeling Prod, were free of charge. I felt the animation would be better with both of them. The prod would explain how Twilight cannot leave the pod circle. -This will be the last time in one of these animations that I use separated legs, because they are just awkward. -The geiger-esque hive is how I always viewed the Changeling Home, and I still prefer it over the canon changeling caves. -I have plans to draw Twilight Sparkle in her new "bad girl" outfit. -Yes, I do intend to post the frames separate on my usual spots, if you are reading this on Newgrounds, you will find them below.
