It’s hard and depressing to move on from the original series. I’m thinking really hard on wether I should remake it and move on.

Broke my back recently, needed motivation. I mean...the title says it all, man.

I recently broke my back and have been needing some motivation...especially since I am a fitness fanatic and it's been real depressing having to take it easy when it comes to exercise. So why not motivate myself, and hopefully others, with one of my favorite characters of all time, Tifa, giving me a lil' boost? Yeah that's really it. 6 seconds of pure octane testosterone.

Poub Hell is a « frame by frame » anarchist cartoon I made in 2015. It took about a month to complete all the animation, working like an idiot day and night to draw everything frame after frame.Of course there’s tricks and loops everywhere but I wanted to avoid modern techniques like vector animation with this one. I also wanted it to be a solo effort for some reason … using the most simple techniques to create a big scale adventure. I know the anarcho-ecolo message in this one might seem pretty « simple » for some viewers … well that’s just what it is.When I decided to create the movie I had just heard the same old alarming news that one can constantly get about nature and it's destruction on the radio, these depressing news were immediately followed with supposedly « comforting » ones about the great performances of major companies and it just made me sick … it's no big news and plenty of us feel the same, I had to spit it out loud with this kind of stuff just to feel a bit better, even if it doesn't change anything. So yeah, it’s no deep political manifesto, just a movie full of anger. It was later sent to a bunch of film festival and never had quite the impact I hoped it would, no big deal, but as a consequence the movie "died" and was left in a dark corner of youtube for years.Since it's a personnal and slightly "punk" and "experimental" work, I thought it might be appropriate to share it here, with a community enjoying less "mainstream" stuff than what's available on youtube.Hope you'll enjoy it.

A group of cosmic "mistakes" rides an elevator across dimensions.

A character-centric comedy about a misfit group of cosmic "mistakes" riding an elevator to muldidimensional prison. For my final animated film at Carleton College, I thought I'd take a break from depressing, post-apocalyptic dirges and make a more lighthearted short in the style of Archer or Bojack Horseman.
And before you ask, yes, I know Lou looks like Cyril. I swear it was unintentional, I modeled his face after mine and I guess the resemblance was stronger than I anticipated! Anyway, enjoy the ride! And subscribe to me on YouTube!

More Depressing Internet

I'm uploading this now because I can tell already that I won't have enough time to make any edits to it in the next week before the NATA deadline anyway due to excessive schoolwork, so I might as well get it over with and publish. So this is a video about a girl who is shutting herself out from the rest of the world and struggles to deal with it. Although on the surface this may appear a little more depressing than things I've made before, like for example, "Until It's Gone" from last year's NATA, this time, rather than having some unfortunate situation descend upon the character and that's it, the character actually acts and fights back. Also, in case anyone's interested, I made a time lapse of me animating one of the scenes. It's here: http://www.youtube.com/wa tch?v=0yCoXIgQQp4 EDIT: This is in no way encouraging or glorifying suicide. I'm sorry if it may have come across that way. Admittedly it's confusing, and that's my fault. But the overall message should be that the character started to fight back against the monsters.

The Monster is Me

Can you discover the secrets of these cryptic shorts? For reviewers (problems already noted):
--Watch the movie first-- - Menu screen (arguably) is a bit gimmicky and unclear.
-- (Decky) Buttons should have been clearer and it could have used a title.
- The shorts are generally confusing and unclear as to their meaning.
- The Shorts are depressing in an unbalanced way (similar to Papers).
- Pacing / animation speed issues in the bunny scene
- Grinding noise in the bunny short could have been accompanied by something to the effect of a "ripping flesh noise", but I felt that was pushing the morbidity a little far.
- Shading on the pixel-art is a bit "pillowy" in some places (pixel artists will know what that means).
- No indication that secrets are present.

The Fat Anime Collab Part 5. This is the 5th in the series. Parts by Fatbadger, Brick-toppp, Golfinho and Flee. It features fat anime style women. Cake in your vagina anyone? Wanna see me rub my dick? Special thanks go out to all the people on the internet who drew these pictures and made this collab possible. All images are the property and copyright of their respected creators and/or owners. If you don't like your art being laughed at then you probably shouldn't have put it all over the Internet? Zekey for starting this series.
Tom Fulp for supporting this series (except for part one which was deleted 4+ years after it was uploaded, why didn't you protect it Tom?) WARNING!! Contains fat anime chicks, some of them are naked, not for the squeamish. or for people who find fat people depressing. Honk Honk! update: thanks Tom for the frontpage. Hope you dont get too many upset PMs from whiny NG users. NG reviewers, please leave more reviews like "why is this on the front page" and "this is shit" as they are very helpful and constructive. They will help make the "Fat Anime collab" series have a better plot and amazing Pixar like animation in the future.

The Fat Anime Collab 5

At crossroads, a man gets pushed down the wrong path.

Well, here's my submission for the NATA Novice Round! The theme was "The Elephant in the Room." There are no literal elephants here, of course. I went with the metaphor about having a large, overwhelming issue at hand (or something along the lines of that.) As far as the storyline goes, I guess this is sort of a bit of a sequel to Masquerade because it discusses another chapter in life, sort of. It is hopefully less depressing, though. The happy ending was intended from the start. In terms of the animation style, I experimented a lot with this (probably more than is initially evident.) I did a lot more frame-by-frame than usual, and although it's still pretty shaky, I think it's getting better, so that's nice. I also started using the same sort of very limited colour scheme that I did in my last video for NATA, but I quickly found that using just blues and purples looked visually boring, so I branched out a bit. Each object or character only has two or three shades of a colour, but entire scenes are now more colourful. I also went a little overboard with vignettes and colour effects overtop of the final product, but I think they help make things look less flat and more appealing. Hopefully. I also did a bunch of little 3D things in this to test out how well it could be integrated. Some things (i.e. backgrounds) fit in better than objects that move in the foreground, but it's still a learning experience. As far as music goes, as usual, I did all the music. The tracks in this are just bits and pieces of things I'm working on, so I'm not uploading them to the Audio Portal yet, but whenever I work them into standalone songs, I will. Also I got a sweet condenser microphone for my birthday so for my next video I will have no excuse to not do voices. Anyway, that's all I have to say for now. I need a weeks' break so I don't go mad from exams/finals/my job/life. Good luck to all the other competitors! Can't wait to see your stuff!

All Roads (NATA)

Introducing Papers, a man made of paper and graphite. For him, life is a struggle in a cruel world but he does his best to look on the bright side. If this does well enough I might make a series out of it. Constructive criticism would be appreciated. Questions for Review Crew:
- Do you think Papers had an adequate range of facial expression?
- Do you think it would be worthwhile to make a series out of Papers? Problems already noted:
- Speakonia voice has to go
- Audio quality needs improvement
- Overly depressing (needs reduction or balance)
- Background (and overall look) could use refinement.
