Bron, the greedy ally, pulls Alex into a bet where they must travel a dangerous road.

I fought w/ my perfectionism demons, cause it keeps making me go back & fix this, re-render that for the hundredth time. Then I tell myself to "have fun." It doesn't have to be perfect to a T. Put it out, be proud of it, or it won't see the light of day at all. I will update you peeps on future episodes, stay tuned. The opening theme was composed by a friend of mine, while the rest of the background music is licensed under Creative Commons. Full credits are at the end.

Franklin has an idea to get more money in the shop

VOODOO VIDS EPISODE 3: THE CLAW! Well here we are with the third short! This one was a lot of fun to work on this past week. I'll go into more details below as there will be spoilers if you haven't watched it yet. But thank you so much for the support! Newgrounds saw potential in the first episode and gave it a front page position. Truly thankful for that opportunity, and i'm really happy that the short has found some fans. I've been receiving some great messages and really am enjoying meeting others in the indie animation scene. OK, on with the the details. Spoilers from this point on. THE STORYThis third short is based on true events. I was out celebrating a friends birthday and there was an arcade, a claw machine contained these capybara toys, I just really wanted to win one but the machine wouldn't hand it over. My partner decided she would make it her mission to get it for me and i'm happy to say she returned to the arcade the next day and did get it as a surprise, and i'm now a proud owner of a capybara holding a smiling pineapple. FRANKLINWe saw Franklin in the 2nd short briefly. But this time he's made his debut. Franklin is a positive happy guy that just wants to help in anyway he can.. sometimes, he makes mistakes but that's ok. I find BIG characters are a fun contrast to the smallness of Thalia. Having a range of character sizes makes for a more visually dynamic cast and I love how Franklin is essentially Frankenstiens monster wearing bowling shirts and sandals. He's a lovable dude and I can't wait to make more with him. WRITING COMEDYProbably the hardest thing to write because it's just so subjective and i'm not a super confidant writer of anything. The first two shorts required the viewer to have some external knowledge of films like Twilight and Terrifier 3 to really land as intended. So this time I wanted to make the comedy as self contained as it can be. This ones for everyone, or at least I tried my best to write it that way. Some of the greatest comedies ever written stick close to what most people can relate to, Faulty Towers with its husband & wife running a business angle, IT crowd with its office antics... THE OFFICE itself! all of those are relatable character driven sitcoms. As well as referencing popculture from time to time, I need to remember that the writing will land best if it serves what people KNOW. So going forward I hope to lean into that more. and when all else fails? slapstick... Tom the cat getting hit in the face with a frying pan never fails. THE SHOPThe Voodoo Vids building itself is somewhere I want the viewer to desire to go. it's warm, inviting, filled with interesting things. It likely smells of stale coffee and hot CRT's and plastic video cases. I've seen every inch of it because I built everything in it, but the viewers haven't, So I try to get a few establishing shots in there to show the place from different angles. Getting that feeling of "I wish I could go to a place like Voodoo Vids" across more without sapping the pace. I just love strong establishing shots, combined with a nice piece of music, it sets the tone for the rest of it. There is a lot more to see inside, but we'll get to that in a future episode. SILLY VOICESI've done voice work before but for comerical purposes. Yes... I've literally been the guy that says"BUT WAIT! There's more" and I still do that, but I've wanted to get into character work for a while, so I'm using my own project as an excuse to have fun and explore that side of things too.I promise i'll get new voices in for future episodes... i'm no Hank Azaria and i'm looking forward to working with more people. SOME TECHNICAL STUFFThe Capybara world machine was fun to make BUT it was a headache at times. Between the claw rigging, and parenting to the control box, and the fricken CORD on the claw OMG... That was a fiddly thing to get looking right. A lot of trial and error but I settled on a bezier curve and used "hook to" constraints. It does the trick and that's good enough! The Capybara toy itself is a real toy, so I used my own as reference to make the model. I drew the machine artwork in Photoshop and brought it in as an image texture. and to finish off the machines aesthetics I composed its chiptune jingle using a website called "beepbox", if you want to make cool chip tunes and muck about with it, it's a great tool!I was going to model some coins for Victor to use, but I decided it was a detail I could cut to save time, and I don't think it would impact the visual impact by not having that in there. ON great tools a friend told me about WIGGLYPAINT which is the tool I used to draw the squiggly doodles of the characters in the credits. I love how fun they are. FINAL NOTEAside from my partner doing voice work and helping me recording foley sounds I'm working on the animation alone. It's tough but seeing the end result is so satisfying. And if others are enjoying it too then that's even better! Doing this lets me take on all aspects of a production and being indies, we get to just MAKE stuff without having to pass it around a boardroom for sign off on the dirt texture on the glass of the capybara machine. Thanks for the support, thank you for watching, and I look forward to hopefully making you laugh again real soon.

Illusion is a song I initially recorded back in the distant year of 2021. Upon the completion of the song (and it's subsequent album), I spent the months following crafting the very music video you have the privilege to bear witness to RIGHT HERE AND NOW. In truth, my opinion of the video was quite low back when I finished it in January(ish) of 2022. It wasn't even until now that I finally decided to re-watch the piece at all. While I still feel that parts of it are poorly cut or roughly animated, I do currently hold a greater appreciation for the work than I once did. Much like any other chunky mass of creative vomit I forcefully ejaculate out, I see this as being an important stepping stone for my artistic development. Hopefully whatever random bits of knowledge I picked up from the experience has reflected on the useless thingies I've made since. If you like the song itself, then you can listen to it on pretty much any musical platform of your choosing. Here are a couple links that may tickle your testicles: Spotify, Apple Music, BandCamp, YouTube Thank you for taking the time out of your day to appreciate my pretentious scribbles and mushy melodies. In the end, that's really all I can ask for, and It truly does mean a lot to me. Hugs and kisses. Dinosaur Rob makes a startling discovery, on his face!

Dinosaur Rob's at it again! Rambling up a storm about a recent claim that some dinosaurs, specifically T-Rex, had lips. Does it matter? Hell no. But it sure looks awkward! It's just funny how often people get bent out of shape when scientists change their minds about how something 65 million years old looked when it was alive. Like, we don't know! We can't possibly. There's no way for us to know, and frankly there never will be. Or how people give Jurassic Park crap for making them scaley and green, or not giving them lips or whatever. Part of the plot was giving them frog DNA, right? So an excuse is baked right into the plot. And we'll never have it 100% right anyway, it isn't possible. So just enjoy that people still research dusty skeletons and dirt samples at all so you can imagine your big fat toothy lizards doing whatever. Wait wasn't I trying to talk about the cartoon? I was making a short based on the "Dinosaurs had lips" tagline and it turned into a unique Dinosaur Rob rant, so that's what I ended up making. Yeah. Rant over!

To Space!

First gameplay update! Space travel, galaxy map, giant mode, planet exploring and more!

Hey everyone! PC update v0.11 is now available! This update contains some of the first gameplay systems: Space travel, galaxy map, plasma pistol and the shuttlecraft. There's also a new Giant mode for characters and customisable fluid colours. For the first time you can use the shuttle to leave the ship, land on Planet X and explore an alien world. https://www.patreon.com/CaptainHardcore NEW: Space travel - select a destination in the galaxy map and the ship will take you there using its hyperspace drive.NEW: Galaxy map - Open the map from the computer screen in the bridge. You can use it to travel between locations. The ship can jump a maximum of 300 light years and you can select any destination within range. The galaxy is small for now but it'll grow once more of the gameplay systems are built.NEW: Scanner module - Used from the computer screen in the bridge, it'll reveal any nearby waypoints for the shuttle, more functions and waypoints will be added later!NEW: Shuttle that can take you down to planet surfaces. Once you've scanned the area and found a landing site you can use the shuttle in the hangar at the rear of the ship to descend to the planet's surface. To return to the ship just get back in the shuttle and press launch.NEW: Demo planet environment (Planet X). This small planet area was created to develop the look and feel of an alien planet environment.NEW: Plasma pistol (VR mode only). This is the first weapon, there's not much to shoot at yet but you can practice your aim with the bottles in the bar (don't shoot your crew members!) This is still work in progress, I've not decided how ammo will work yet so for now it has unlimited ammo. Desktop support is almost finished and will be in the next build.NEW: Weapon/Item selection menu (Opened by holding B on the right Index controller or A on Oculus). Time is slowed down while the menu is open.NEW: Customise pee and cum colour.NEW: Scale slider for all toys.NEW: Giant mode - this can be enabled on all characters and most toys. It increases the sliders range so you can create giant characters and toys!NEW: Added footstep sounds for walking on dirt.Improved: Characters now scale from their feet instead of the middle of their body, this stops them getting stuck in the ground when making them larger.Improved: ESC key now closes the main menu in desktop mode.Improved: Some tweaks to the Vive wand controls.Improved: Disabled teleport while in POV mode.FIXED: Large characters have their feet stuck in the ground when spawned.FIXED: Player falling into space when loading some scenes.FIXED: Some minor audio bugs.FIXED: Login issue caused by a bug in Patreons API.FIXED: Added "Intel OpenSSL Fix.bat" inside the FluidGame directory. If you experience crashes on an Intel 10/11th gen processor then running the game through this file instead of the .exe should fix it.Known issues: The collision settings UI can get screwed up when giant mode is enabled, but auto collision is still working.
