a animation that i did to show the feeling that oldschool 00's survival horrors game me.

Teaser trailer for upcoming short film "Ilha do Sol"

On an isolated island in the middle of Guanabara Bay, parties took place that were attended by some of the most striking personalities of the 20th century. The hostess of these events, they say, was born from a snake's egg, spoke with animals, emitted an intense light from her body, and hypnotized the paying audience of her dance performances in downtown Rio de Janeiro. There are still mysteries and rumors about who Luz del Fuego really was. But for every Brazilian who has felt oppressed by moralism and injustice, her legacy continues to resonate. Much like the waves that continue to relentlessly crash on the shores of Ilha do Sol. "A Ilha do Sol" is an animated short film financed by the Paulo Gustavo Law of Niterói. With animation direction by Constantin de Tugny, sets and models by Rodrigo Leme, screenplay by Matheus Albano, and production by CIA - Centro de Investigação Artística, the film will tell a version of the story of Luz del Fuego, an activist for environmentalism, feminism, and naturism who graced stages in Rio de Janeiro and around the world during the 1950s. The film is now in pre-production, with a planned release for late 2025, but enjoy a teaser that shows a glimpse of this surreal and fantastic world we've created for "A Ilha do Sol" – a film that seeks to rescue and do justice to the memory of a Brazilian woman who becomes increasingly relevant and necessary with each passing day-- -- --Em uma ilha isolada no meio da Baía de Guanabara, aconteceram festas que contaram com a presença de algumas das personalidades mais marcantes do século XX.

WOW FRONTPAGE!! THANKS, we'd nearly given up hope! Thank you so much ^_^
*EDIT*
Thanks fo these great reviews and daily fourth! we'll try to respond to as many as we can!
There's a couple reviews debating the naming of the animation or antagonist, apologies for not making it clear;
As the cat in the hat was the only character in the movie relating to Dr Seuss, we felt it was fitting that he should be the embodiment of the name. We used the Cat in the Hat (possibly the most recognisable of Dr. Seuss' creations) as a representative, we are well aware that they are separate people/things/pseudonyms. Sorry for that confusion! :)
-------------------------
------------------------- DarkLink777:
Doctor Seuss. Oh, really? Doctor of what, might I ask? Well, I did ask. And this is what I came up with. After doodling up a quick script and finding some voice talent at the Voice Acting Club, I entrusted the rest of the project to TheThingy5, who promptly animated for months and months while I sat on my butt playing Bombliss on the NES. Occasionally, I'd forget all about this project. But now it's complete, and I'm absolutely thrilled. I'll stop talking soon because no one wants to spend more time reading the description than watching the animation, but first I just want to give a huge thanks to TheThingy5 and all of our wonderful voice actors, without whom this animation wouldn't exist. Hooray for them! TheThingy5:
Firstly i'd just like to apologise for the scruffiness of the first minute or so of the animation, i was trying out a new style and it took a while to get used to.
Secondly;
You can adjust the quality by right clicking the flash, this is because the beginning is especially graphically heavy and may lag.
The total frames are 6898 at 24 fps and run time is about 4 mins.
Anyway it was a real pleasure to work on such a fantastic script by DarkLink and with the brilliant talent of all the actors, I hope i've done it justice.
BTW there IS an easter egg at the end! if you can find it ;)
