Za Flappers Ga Kesu!

One after another... elements still seem separate.

But once they fold into chains, a whole separate meaning is born.

New sequences are easy to create.

lil hat SAVES the earth from an Existential Threat. yeah you heard right

Music: <a href="https://xpaint.bandcamp.com/track/the-machine-we-power" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">https://xpaint.bandcamp.com/track/the-machine-we-power</a> Icy Entertainment is overjoyed to bring you this modern indie classic featuring our newest actor "Lil Hat" - did you know he saved the Earth? That's right, in this psychological thriller, Lil Hat saves the Earth from an existential threat. Yeah I can't believe it either. A hat is a head covering which is worn for various reasons, including protection against weather conditions, ceremonial reasons such as university graduation, religious reasons, safety, or as a <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fashion_accessory" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">fashion accessory</a>.<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hat#cite_note-1" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">[1]</a>In the past, hats were an indicator of <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_status" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">social status</a>.<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hat#cite_note-2" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">[2]</a> In the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Military" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">military</a>, hats may denote nationality, branch of service, rank or <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regiment" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">regiment</a>.<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hat#cite_note-3" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">[3]</a> Police typically wear distinctive hats such as peaked caps or brimmed hats, such as those worn by the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Canadian_Mounted_Police" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Royal Canadian Mounted Police</a>. Some hats have a protective function. As examples, the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hard_hat" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">hard hat</a> protects construction workers' heads from injury by falling objects, a British police <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Custodian_helmet" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Custodian helmet</a> protects the officer's head, a <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sun_hat" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">sun hat</a> shades the face and shoulders from the sun, a <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cowboy_hat" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">cowboy hat</a> protects against sun and rain and an <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ushanka" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">ushanka</a> fur hat with fold-down earflaps keeps the head and ears warm. Some hats are worn for ceremonial purposes, such as the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mortarboard" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">mortarboard</a>, which is worn (or carried) during university graduation ceremonies. Some hats are worn by members of a certain profession, such as the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toque" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Toque</a> worn by chefs. Some hats have religious functions, such as the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitre" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">mitres</a> worn by Bishops and the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turban" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">turban</a> worn by <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sikh" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Sikhs</a>.

Box Fold Animation test

Our first proper university animation. We really pushed ourselves for this one...

Pete says: Hyaaagh hagh. Now I know why all those people put "FRONTPAGE?! AWESOME!! I LOVE YOU GUYS!" when they make it here. This is one hell of a feeling. Stick that in your pipe and smoke it, SgtPooPoo! :D Well, this was Peter's first proper animation for university and David's first solid work of sound design, and it was a fully collaborative effort. Pete didn't think this would have worked with crappy sound - and animating it silently was torture, so he relished watching whole bits he'd done at a time WITH SOUND, thanks to Dave! XD Those of you who have seen Proffate's other animations will notice that the aliens in this work look suspiciously like the ones from the Immigrant filmclip. This was intentional. It's a nod... nay, a requiem to the alien couple from the filmclip that he was promised would be put on MTV. Unfortunately, JC decided to fold. As in, totally give up. Assface.
Anyway, this will be hopefully entered into a few competitions sometime soon... Originally, this film was mixed in Dolby 5.1 surround sound. For this version, it's toned down, but we still tried to keep the quality as high as possible.
