Saul Bass's Movie Poster Design x Richard William's Animation Exercise

Just another little animation practice, but this time with guidance of The Animator's Survival Kit (Richard William) for my love of Saul Bass's movie poster designs (use In Harm's Way due to the poster is a navy vice admiral pointing, which works for me). I uploaded a video that's display the behind the scenes of creating said minute of animation on YouTube if you're curious.<blockquote><a href="https://youtu.be/nl_tpOZfyfM?si=fAz_TbQjrvlN_kdy" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Behind the Scenes Display | Richard Williams's Finger Pointing Exercise x Saul Bass's Movie Poster...</a></blockquote> If not, thank you for your time watching this. That be all for now. Yours truly, HEC-Z

Just an OC killing spree with an happy ending :))))))))

New clip for Exhumation 2, this one was such a blast to do, and I found myself working with a more advanced style of choreography, and ALOT of Layers. Small QnA:Q: Why is one of the credits scribbled at the end.A: For this clip, I let a sound artist in the Exhumation 2 Discord Server, take care of the SFX for this clip, however for this Youtube Upload I was curious to see how I would handle SFX for it. If you want to hear the other SFX, you will have to wait for Exhumation 2 to release. ;) Q: How long did this clip take you to make ?A: I started working on this clip, a week ago, most of the time was spent animating, and I spent a small day making the SFX for it. Q: Hey dumbass, the shotgun you're using is not a pump action shotgu-A: I KNOW, I KNOW ! I... didn't do enough research when using this gun, I thought it was a pump before I realized my mistake too late to rectify it, so now it's a pump under my rules. :3 Q: Are there any more clips coming up ?A: Yesn't, I can't tell right now, this one was made after I cancelled alot of other clips. (Yes also the one in the posts, sorry.) It wasn't supposed to be a clip but it just became one by accident (like the Hank clips.) Q: why the ending :(((A: Nothing's wrong with the ending. It's FUNNY. I hope you enjoyed this animation, and I hope ya'll will see me again soon for another video ! <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DD9fzd0JcEg" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">YOUTUBE VERSION</a>

An animatic/storyboard based on the Wrath of the Sun OCT

Please read the <a href="https://wotsmyaugur.thecomicseries.com/comics/1/#content-start" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Audition</a> and the <a href="https://wotsmyaugur.thecomicseries.com/comics/28/#content-start" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">first Round</a> here for further context. Program used is Clip Studio Paint EX (v1.13) <a href="https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/1054921">Round 3</a> Author's Notes: This took the better part of six weeks to get set. I went into this wanting to focus more on my comic skills, but due to the combination of a shorter round-than-audition time and my own limited time outside of work, I made a last minute decision of doing an animatic as I did a quick one in-between rounds. This way, I was able to get enough story and character interaction to where I felt satisfied with how it played out. There's certainly room to grow, but I think this was both fun and exciting to do. :] Also, for those who are curious, the various monster sounds were both from Dead Space (2008) Slashers and Monster Hunter's Odagaron characters (and one fun scream from Bloodborne's Blood Starved Beast).

Peni Parker Gets Curious

This is a story for the prompt "field" and a bit of "distance" i made in flash use arrow keys to toggle pages music link use arrow keys to toggle pages i tried to be a bit creative with it Special Thanks for im-leia for musicJamirot for this amazing oppurtunityand Newgrounds for their amazing website here is the story (for mobile users) : It was just a regular day at home, chilling, when I heard a voice from above — it was my mom. She told me that tomorrow we are going to take a trip to the fields with my grandparents. "OK," I said. Well, we'll see. Every month we travel to the fields in the countryside just to have a nice day with our grandparents. I really like the fields; it is a silent place to put your thoughts aside and maybe stretch or meditate. When I heard about this, I was excited to go, especially with my grandad. I loved staying with him; he always teaches me cool stuff. Like last year, where he taught me how to make a wooden tent and also taught me how to catch fish. Life here was simple and we were happy. That was until tomorrow, when my mom told me something really tragic. "So, we are going to the fields, but your grandad isn't joining us." "WHY?" I said. "Because… Because… your grandad got a heart attack and passed away," she said while she was sobbing. "WHAT? That can't be…" I said. "It's impossible." I couldn't go to the fields without my grandad. I felt my heart broken from the inside. Then we took the road to the fields. I felt depressed. Now, who would teach me how to make cool things and tell me old trivia? And now he's dead. What's the point of going anyway, you might ask? So, they're hosting my grandad's funeral in the fields. I needed to go; it will be the most important day of my life. That way, I can tell him my final goodbyes. The trip felt long, way too long than it should be. Every mile we crossed, I felt sadder, more depressed. As he was my only best friend in this whole universe, I never had any friends. Everyone likes bullying me for some reason. He was the only one who understood me; he was ME. So, finding out that he's dead just didn't feel right, but I had nothing to do. That's life — people live and die. That's why we need to live the best of it, spend every little second with your family, because you won't be seeing them again. The road went on and on, like it was stretching. It felt like eternity. "Honey, wake up," mom said. I thought we had arrived at the fields, but no — we just stopped at the gas station for a quick rest. I felt devastated. My family went inside to order a quick snack. I didn't have the appetite to eat anything; I just waited in the car. I really wanted to see my grandad one last time in my life. I felt like they took forever to finish ordering. I couldn't wait to go. I saw them exiting the gas station. "FINALLY!" I said. They came back with snacks. "Take some," my sister said while trying to give me a bag of chips. "No thanks," I said. I wasn't that hungry anyway. We took the road, driving our way to the fields — slowly but surely — crossing beautiful landscapes, giant farmlands, and stunning mountains. For a second, I forgot about everything. I was mesmerized by the magnificent views of the wilderness: giant trees, long stretching lakes, and fascinating wildlife. And before I knew it, we finally arrived at the fields. "Oh, here they are!" our grandma shouted while waving her hands. I saw her from far away. When we parked our car, we were greeted by our grandma, but something felt off, like a missing puzzle piece — my grandad was that missing puzzle piece. The trauma hit me again. I instantly remembered everything. I really missed him. I didn't have the chance to see him again. "SNAP OUT OF IT!" my mom said. My grandma led us to the house, where I saw a lot of familiar faces — my uncle, my aunt, and my cousin. "Wanna play something?" he said. "What the hell? Are you SERIOUS? It's a funeral! A FUCKING FUNERAL!" Everyone started staring at me. "Sorry!" I said, but he dragged me away anyway. We went outside in the beautiful sunset, playing soccer and passing the ball. "So, what are you into right now?" my cousin said. "Yeah, nothing, what about you?" I said. "The same," my cousin said. We were kinda just awkwardly passing the ball over and over again with basically no purpose. After passing the ball for about 20 minutes, my mom called me. "Get in here, son," she said. I went to her. "What's the matter, mom?" I said. "Your grandma wants to give you something." She said. I was curious. "What is it?" I said. "Follow me and you'll see." I followed my mom, then I saw my grandmother holding a big can of some sort. "What is this?" I asked. "It's your grandad's time capsule," she said. I was shocked — my grandad's time capsule, that's so COOL! I really wanted to open it. My grandma gave it to me and I started to open it in no time. I found a lot of vintage stuff, like old Star Wars action figures, his old yo-yo that looked SO OLD, old newspapers from the 1970s, and a letter? I picked up the piece of paper. It read: June 23rd, 1982 "Hi there, it's me. I am 15 years old now. I fell in love with this year. I met a lot of new friends and learned a lot of cool new stuff. When I grow up, I will become an engineer, establish a new family, and maybe even meet my grandchildren in the future." I was touched by it. I felt better with this letter. It felt like my grandad was still alive with us. This letter was the cure to my depression and my sadness. I challenged myself to also meet new friends, learn new cool stuff, establish a family, and someday meet my grandchildren in the future. But for now, I just sat down to observe the nature around me. "I wish I could meet you again." THE END

Are we victims of the system, or just comfortable cowards? My dystopian animation.

Hey everyone,I wanted to share my graduation short film, "Ghost in the Machine". It’s a dark, dystopian animation that dives into media manipulation, corporate greed, and the matrix of modern control. The Concept:The film uses a TV glitch aesthetic as a narrative device. In this world, a "glitch" isn't a technical mistake—it's a momentary fracture where the polished, corporate reality slips, exposing the raw, ugly machinery of global exploitation, manufactured crises, and mass pacification underneath. The Tech:I spent months bringing this to life using Blender's Grease Pencil. I wanted to create a raw, haunting look by mixing traditional 2D line art with 3D space and heavy glitch post-processing.A quick heads-up: The voiceover is in Hungarian, but I have embedded English subtitles directly into the video, so you won't miss any of the monologue. It ends on a pretty cynical note about collective guilt and societal apathy. I’m genuinely curious to hear what you guys think about both the visual style and the message. Is it too doomer, or is it just an accurate reflection of where we are heading?Drop your thoughts in the reviews!Created with Blender (Grease Pencil).

Before there were AI boyfriends, there were OC boyfriends.

*insert obligatory gen ai take from the perspective of an artist in the form of content here* This is a real stylistic departure for me, but I'm trying something new. The world’s changing (as it does) and with all the convos surrounding gen ai and the security of creative jobs, I’ve sort have felt compelled (ambushed really) to show the human behind my art. Started working on this last November, but (as always) it took longer than expected to complete. Anyway, this is the intro to a longer video I just uploaded to YouTube. The full video is mostly live action with comedic illustrations thrown in so I didn't think it would be appropriate to upload it in its entirety here. If you're curious— <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJ-wwXh3Zyg" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJ-wwXh3Zyg</a>

My OC Boyfriend

I made this because I felt a surge of creative energy in myself after finishing up a cheesy project back in December. Also, I made this for the sketch show, Stupidly Stupid, so now I'm just uploading here so you can see it as its own thing (episode link for those <a href="https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/1020297">curious</a>) If the button looks out of place its because I wanted to do something fun with my own button, had a hard time getting it to work, and gave up. (thank the almighty for NG's premade fla buttons) I'll try to get a button working one day, just not now lol. Note:There's a slight delay when watching this on mobile (from my observation) but none on computers. I'd overall recommend watching on computer if you don't want any delay (nvm, it's fine now, I think) (3/22/26 edit: the delay is Bluetooth lol)

Old animation

2d hand-drawn animation showing Mordrem Lieutenant Malyck greeting a corrupted Trahearne.

"Mordrem Lieutenant Malyck and Corrupted Trahearne" Recent practice animation of my favorite (non-canon) NPC pairing from one of my longtime favorite games! (Guild Wars 2) I started doing some small, 2d animation practices around last summer, and was hoping I could continue exploring these this year. I've always loved 2d animation and have tried it a few times in the past, but it's never clicked or felt natural for me - until last year, where now it feels very addicting! If I had no other obligations, I'd probably risk drawing so much until I draw my arm off. On the off-chance you might be familiar with these characters (or even - gasp! - the pairing), last year I started drawing "The Harbinger's Path" - a doujinshi fan comic featuring Trahearne &amp; Malyck which recently completed its third chapter. There is also a limited print run coming up which will be available at Manga Ichiba this Fanime 2026. If you're curious, you can read all 3 comic chapters freely online, and learn more here: <a href="https://landylachs.com/harbinger/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Landylachs.com/harbinger</a>(Comic is rated PG-13 for "fantasy violence and suggestive themes.") *Also, please let me know if I should change the rating. My intention with this clip falls within the realm of "playful," but I understand this might be subjective. Edit: Forgot to add, I posted gifs of the lines-only version and early "keyframe" draft on my "Landy Sketchblog" <a href="https://landylachs.com/sketchblog/2026/02/trahearne-malyck-practice-animation-february-14-2026/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">here.</a>

Objects Of Objectland 4B: "You're Gonna Have A Bad Time" (REMASTERED)

A short excerpt from our audio drama in animation form.

Mongrel World- the poker swcene.I wrote the script and edited the sound at the time, and Fanni did the animation alone. We were just curious to see what our old listeners would say about it if we animated a scene and whether new people would be open to it? And here is the result. Series PlotKorcsvilág (Mongrel World) was born after an event known as The Oblivion, which destroyed the Multiverse while simultaneously merging the remaining fragments of various alternative realities. The survivors divided this new Earth into successor states, each representing a different alternate universe. This is "Mongrel World," and its order is guarded by the mysterious Big Girl and her organization, The Sanctuary. While dinosaurs roam one country, another utilizes futuristic medical technology, and in a third, cowboys face off in gunfights and we could continue the list all day long. To prevent total chaos, The Sanctuary strictly enforces the First Code, a set of laws that applies to every successor state without exception. The most vital law of this book is: each country may only possess lifeforms, technology, goods, and magic that were already present in its original world before The Oblivion.Milo Waukegan is thrust into this strange new world, soon becoming an agent of The Sanctuary alongside Pamacs(Fluffy), a talking Puli dog, and the other members of Tango Squad. Scene PlotIn this scene, Tango Squad meets Milo for the first time, giving us a brief glimpse into how they spend their time when they aren't out on a mission. Mongrel World (Korcsvilág)- the Poker scene

A remake of an old Blockhead-esque animation I did years ago.

Years ago, I made a cartoon featuring a Blockhead-esque character having to deal with (off-screen) the King of Monsters himself - Godzilla. It was terrible and didn't make it past judgement. I wanted to show my daughter how easy it is to animate so I remade that animation and updated the silliness. It was slapped together rather quickly, so the actual art is pretty garbage, but I was curious if this new version would pass where the original failed. [[[ WARNING: Loud Noise Warning toward end of video ]]] UPDATE: Hooray! It passed (barely, lol)!!!
