Grandma gets Grimaced

12-year-old Courtney visits her grandfather and goes on a fairytale adventure

Some of the fondest memories of my youth were the times I spent with my grandmother and aunt towards the end of their lives. The Sunday nursing home visits were full of stories I always dreamed of sharing with others. Sundays with Grampa is an animated tribute to our seniors, their humor and wisdom.

Every artist who works with clients will relate to this musical number

Sundays with Grampa is in the style of Dan Povenmire's Phineas and Ferb and Milo Murphy's Law -- which were famous for their awesome musical numbers. I'm applying to be part of the new show -- so I created this animatic -- and it just had to have a musical number. You'll even hear me sing. Here's a quick peek. A take on the Fifth Labor of Hercules, as retold by an elderly Chinese man eating dinner

Mr. Kwok, like any young squire in the land, seeks to prove his worth to the King and marry the princess. So the King sends him on his first task -- to clean the royal stables. This is a parody of the fifth labor of HERCULES - cleaning the Augean Stables. Mr. Kwok is no demigod, though -- so he comes up with a more ingenious solution -- in SCENE 5 of Sundays with Grampa.
