A solo-made Christmas animation with Thor-like energy. Family, magic, and a winter holiday

Renegade from Hollireach is an original winter / Christmas animated short about family, legacy, and the moment a quiet holiday turns into a call to action. Think Thor-like mythic power, but grounded in a personal, hand-crafted story. This holiday animation was written, animated, edited, and directed entirely by one person — no studio, no team, no shortcuts. Just one artist making a superhero-style winter fantasy the way he sees it. If you’re looking for a Christmas story with magic, action, and an indie soul — welcome to Hollireach.

The Absolute Principle

Not my best animation, but that's not the point. These two companies are responsible for the censorship and removal of several games on Steam and Itch.io. Some of which didn't even contain nudity or sexual themes. This is a blatant violation of our rights as consumers. We need to end this. If you own a Visa or a MasterCard, and don't know how to phrase your complaint, folks have been using this template for Visa:"I am a concerned customer about Visa's recent efforts to censor adult content on prominent online game retailers, specifically the platforms Steam and Itch.io. As a long-time Visa customer, I see this as a massive overreach into controlling what entirely legal actions/purchases customers are allowed to put their money towards.Visa has no right to dictate my, or other consumers behavior, or to pressure free markets to comply with vague, morally-grounded rules enforced by payment processing providers. Unless these Draconian impositions are not reversed, I will have no choice but to stop dealing with Visa and instead swap to competing companies not directly involved in censorship efforts, namely Discover, and AmericanExpress." and this one for MasterCard:"I am a concerned customer about MasterCard's recent efforts to censor adult content on prominent online game retailers, specifically the platforms Steam and Itch.io. Bobby gets grounded

Hello! I’d like to share how a poorly defined task can end up taking six evenings.I decided that from time to time, I could post some videos on YouTube. And as a "true" YouTuber, I chose to start with creating a logo and a short video with it. I didn’t spend much time on the logo idea: since my nickname is "Random Forstart," the logo should reflect randomness and be quick to execute. And since I'm “incredibly creative,” the only thing that comes to mind with randomness is a flipping coin. So, I decided to make a coin with a Roman numeral "I" on the obverse, and on the reverse, I wanted to add a touch of Ukrainian style by placing an ornament in a Hutsul, Bukovinian, or Galician style around the edge, and adding the inscription "Random Forstart" along the edge and rim of the coin.Decision made! Time to search for references, which, as it turned out, wasn't so quick. The coin in my mind had unusual edges, and such coins are rare—maybe because that edge shape complicates the production process.Next, I started the blocking. Some elements didn’t look good with standard edges, so I applied subdivision. Then, I created the text: converted it to mesh, extruded it, applied remesh with the appropriate modifier, and added a subdivision surface to smooth things out. At this point, I realized there were too many polygons, and I’d likely need to bake everything onto a low-poly model. Otherwise, even Eevee would take forever to render it on my laptop.Looking at the obverse, I realized that the Roman numeral "I" wasn’t the best choice, so I added some decor and replaced it with the abbreviation "RFS." It looked better, so I proceeded to combine everything using Boolean. My laptop took a long time merging high-poly elements, and even after that, the shading wasn’t impressive. I passed the mesh through remesh, and ended up with 65 million polygons. Plus, remesh had made the coin look more like a polygonal shape than a circle. I smoothed out some edges with sculpting, deciding to fix the rest on the normal map after baking.I created a low-poly model with 4000 triangles. That's a lot, but since the model is for animation and not a game, I wanted it to be properly rounded.During baking, I found that some surfaces were protruding too much, causing artifacts. I decided not to touch the high-poly but to adjust the normal map in GIMP. Overall, it turned out alright. Then came texturing. At first, I thought I’d just apply textures in Blender, but I didn’t like the result, so I made the texture in Quixel Mixer. It looked great there, but once I imported it into Blender, it somehow changed. I had to adjust it several more times until it looked okay.Once finished, I moved on to the animation. Initially, I tried using physics simulations and even spent a few hours on it, but it turned out that realistic wasn’t always what I wanted. In the end, I did the animation manually with keyframes. All that was left was to add sound and effects. I tried to do this in Blender, but I didn’t feel like figuring out Blender's video editor, so I did it all in Kdenlive.

Caillou Gets Grounded I mean its in the name...

Caillou Gets Grounded

A slice-of-life tragedy about a bunch of losers trying to win

Soooooo a while back I started working on a webcomic that was called "Dropouts," but then I changed the name to "losers trying to win" to make it less generic and there's already a webcomic called "dropout" which was confusing but it was a total failure and I didn't even like making comics so I changed to format to basically a storyboard and then thought "hey wait I still hate doing this why don't I just make an animation which I actually LIKE doing" so I changed to name back to "Dropouts" and now this is the ONLY THING THAT'S KEEPS ME HANGING ON TO THIS SHITHOLE CALLED LIFE so now we get a cartoon. It probably won't be coming for a while, there's still lots of work to do. And don't expect professional-quality, I'm a one-person-team and painfully aware of it, I'm reigning in my ambition as much as I can. song is "Long Live Death" by AudionautiX (with a little stock scream added at the end): Free Production Music by Jason Shaw AudionautiX.com

[Project] Wireframe | Track 2 Freefalling is about leaving the ego behind, and a letter to my audience. PRESAVE: https://pilot.ffm.to/paper-skies-freefallingVisuals by Paper Skies | Released with Pilot Records. This single marks one of the earliest point of this album journey, where I asked myself who I wanted to be, and decided to embark on this 4 year long project. I realized that as I reached new heights in my career, I became less grounded with a clouded sense of reality. Music became a numbers game instead of what I truly loved and I was expressing myself less with every release. Making the choice to start this album was making a choice to leave this mindset behind. Through the lyrics of the track, I'm asking my audience if they will freefall with me back to ground 0 and wait patiently as I begin to tell my story. /// Paper SkiesSoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/user_paperskiesSpotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/3jtjn7NRlzHNIqdPvRf2WA?si=D37oDNIfT4qTjY69-wFzlgInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/paperskiesmusic/Twitter: https://twitter.com/PaperSkies_ScYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@PaperSkiesDiscord: https://discordapp.com/invite/a6FS2cx /// NytrixSoundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/NytrixMusicSpotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/1s8cu0X2A5YDwCLRN8AjFaInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/NytrixMusic/Twitter: https://twitter.com/NytrixMusicYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@NytrixMusic

🎵 Terraformed With Blue Antlers ☁️ 🦌 (music video/visualizer) - Cameron Kane

A desperate man travels across the land in his quest to seek inner knowledge

As time passes, I always wanted to animate a more subtle, grounded and a more grown-up story. This short movie tells the tale of a thirsty soul: Rape, the always positive go-getter who finds himself in a serious dilemma. The song is Jumaliste by Ventovieras.
