"Take a Hike" | Battle of the Thingys (BOTT) Episode 1

animated re-telling of an 11-hour hike I went on with some friends on an island.

My school hosted this annual trip every spring to Horn Island--a barrier island 4-miles off the coast of Mississippi. It's completely uninhabited aside from a ranger station and an alarming number of alligators that were described as "docile". Anyway, it was kind of a right-of-passage for people to hike the full perimeter of the island (~20+ miles). So, my friend and her friend gathered me and we left in the dead of the night (10pm) from our campsites to hike. It was probably the most exhausting and painful experience I've ever had, but I would 9/10 do it again. Just 11-and-a-half hours of wading through tide pools and walking on nothing but sand. At some point after the sun started rising, we had to swim through a lagoon which kinda sucked since animals were obviously feeding and there had been alligators watching us for a good chunk of our hike. I'm here though so everything turned out fine. We did get yelled at for trying to steal baby wipes and a hat 'cause we'd thought they'd been abandoned. Then, had to do a walk of shame as those people watched us, once again, wade through a shallow lagoon with our bags and shit over our heads. This was a gallery submission for that year's Horn Island exhibit. There isn't any sound, unfortunately, just 'cause of time constraints, but I did manage to complete this 4-minute animation by myself in a little over a month, so...I call it a win.

The cartoon that is banned from getting broadcasted by the Algerian television

Hello, everyone... People of the Newgrounds community! Mebrouk is now back after a very long time of hard ass work on this goddamn motherfucking cartoon called Puppylove: The (ACTUAL) Sequel! For those who don't know, It's like that one animation from 2023 (Like a couple of months before the 2023 Israel-Hamas war pushed me over the edge) called Puppy Love: The Sequel except It's darker and edgier. Also, it's 5 minutes long, but be careful when you watch it. Not only does It contain mature themes and offensive jokes, but also sensory abuse and jumpscares at any time. So You have to be 17 years old (or older than that) and brave enough to handle whatever this cartoon has. Otherwise, You can take a hike, but You're still free to criticize it. Update 08/24/2024: Just fixed a very few things here Oh, and I almost forgot to give credit to these individuals as special thanks: @LunaKittyfox (For letting me imitate her style in one of the scenes from this Flash) @ShootDaCheese (For the weapon sprites used on the animation) @MakoSucks (For one of his cartoon's screenshots that I used on my animation, even though That's fucking controversial) @NobertGilbert (For composing songs for LoliRock, keep up that work) @LittleCuteCorpse (For the infamous "Pretty Blood" series and yes, My cartoon has some references to the series unless You don't pay attention at all) And all Flash animators from Newgrounds (For influencing me into becoming a Flash animator myself, and especially @HotDiggedyDemon for the inspiration of the thumbnail) Okay, How about a little controversial comedy btw? Here, I got one...Bearjamin Rinnyahu, You got it? An animated music video using Papadosio's "Find Your Cloud," as

This was a project inspired from my trip with my son to California. After I made my eight year old take the brutal hike toward The Wisdom Tree at Hollywood Hills during August 2019, I felt compelled and inspired to animate a short using Papadosio's song, appropriately named "Find Your Cloud" as a source of music narration.

"FIND YOUR CLOUD" A Tribute to Toriyama

Animated short for Joe Rogan's podcast episode with Ari Shaffir

This is an animated short to go alongside audio from Joe Rogan's podcast episode titled "Joe And Ari Go On A Hike". The 2 of them are hiking together and have this wonderful moment where they come across some rocks they think look like animals. After hearing this I immediately wanted to whip up a quick animation to go with it. Enjoy!

Ari And Joe Go On A Hike

Deep in the northern canadian forests, I saw something I couldn't believe...

I went for a hike in the deep northern canadian forests and here's some footage of what I saw... Drawn using acrylic paints on watercolor paper and Photoshop. Animated in Flash. This animation was a bit harder to do than I expected since I hadn't done any animation in a few years now. And while it's not perfect, I'm relatively happy with the result.

On A Hike

In today's episode, we see a Gentlebot observing the correct and proper behaviour when in restaurants, speaking with waiters, and learning about Robo-Communism. ---
If you haven't see the first one, find it here at: http://www.newgrounds.com /portal/view/559862
--- ---
Edit: Took down for a minute to fix 2 tiny flaws; a tween that didn't move and a magical ghost layer that popped out of nowhere.
--- Well now! It's been a hell of a trip on this one. There has been much swearing, shaking of fists, drinking of tea and shooting of Nerf guns to get this episode finally onto NG. Apologies to anyone who has been waiting for this second episode (Probably not many), but I've had many difficulties during it's creation and development, almost all of which can be blamed on my ancient PC, which has more in common with dinosaurs than technology. Also, Flash threw a tantrum during sound editing, and after I stopped smacking my head on my desk repeatedly, I did it all over. It gives me great pleasure to say this episode contains the delightful voice acting of my Bromance partner; Jack Edwards, whom I owe special thanks to. Only he won't get any because I had to hike up the volume on his recordings about 125% each, on account of him being so frigging quiet, which took hours. Episode 2 also includes subtitles, a fancy smattering of bevelling on the opening screen button, and complimentary cup holders. Expect episode 3 at some point in the future. That's as detailed as I'm going to be. Thank you to all who have the patience to watch it after it loads. Apologies for the slightly sub-standard sound quality. I will be looking into any means of improving it when I can be bothered. Believe me when I say, I'm glad it's done. -Dr. Jesus, MD --- P.S: If you want to rewatch, right click and rewind or reload the page. for some reason it goes on for ages before resetting. I'll sort it out at a later date. Promise.

Nature Hike

Strawberry and Orange take a walk outside.

So today I noticed it was clock day and challenged myself to create a flash before the day was over. And here it is! I don't own a tablet :( so I did everything by mouse. I don't have a preloader or a replay button cause for some reason I can't find one that works with action script 3 and doesn't screw up the vcam I used. I gave up when one of the ones I tried corrupted my flash.I didn't create a replay because I was frustrated with the preloader... Its really hard to to frame by frame quickly with a mouse so this is sucky but hey clock day! It is a good experience for me not to have everything perfected to the point I feel like I'll never finish. So basicly what happens is strawberry and orange meet up hike into the woods. Its stupid but I wasn't planning anything for today in advanced and I am low on time.

It's the New Adventures of Cyberen! After mysterious external forces pervaded his body during a hike on the banks of the Amazon river, Cyberen became transgendered. This ushered in new sensations and experiences, but also some acute new fears. Being of a promiscuous nature, Cyberen's been around, but he has now grown to fear unwanted pregnancy due to his recent gender change. In today's story, Cyberen learns first-hand of the dangers of premarital sex, and how it is a sin against God and the natural order of the world to engage in it. Even being an abstract orange guy, Cyberen is not exempt from the commandments set out by the Bible. It's only fair that way! Enjoy the movie, we here at Sillies Studios hope you learn a thing or two from it!
