WALL-E and EVE do Impressions (SFM)

Perception is a very specific phenomenon...

Perception is a truly peculiar phenomenon. If a person sees something on a screen - say, water droplets falling onto flowers - they naturally associate it with rain and assume that it is indeed raining (even though rain might have nothing to do with it - who knows?..). This is the "first impression effect": - something that momentarily clouds our vision, leading us to realize that behind an act which initially appears to be mere mischief, there actually lie noble intentions - an attempt to transform this gloomy, gray world using something seemingly harmless... But to understand this, one must see... -Ivan

A fake playthrough of the ending scene from my visual novel, The Kami at the Convenience S

Story:A university student living an ordinary life in Kyoto finds himself increasingly troubled by a strange sense that something is deeply wrong. What begins as a simple trip to a convenience store gradually unfolds into a story that converges on a single, life-changing incident. ================ This video is a fake playthrough of the ending scene from my visual novel, "The Kami at the Convenience Store (コンビニの祟り神)." I originally released the game in Japanese in February 2026. As I did with "Secret Followers," I considered creating a full English version. However, the story turned out to be far longer than expected, contained many culturally specific elements, and dealt with themes that were not always easy to approach. In the end, I had to abandon the idea of a complete English release. Even so, while the game was never particularly popular, it seemed to leave a strong impression on some players, and the kind comments I received encouraged me to continue improving it. Recently, I commissioned professional voice actress Senka Chiyoda, known for voicing Pomni in the Japanese dub of The Amazing Digital Circus, to perform Tokoyomi-sama's monologue in the final scene. Her performance was absolutely wonderful, and it inspired me to create an English version of this ending sequence so that more people could experience it. Even in the original Japanese version, Tokoyomi-sama only appears with full voice acting during this final scene, making it a special moment within the story. If you are interested in the complete game, an automatically translated English version can be played through Novel Game Collection's translation feature, although the quality of the translation is limited.https://novelgame.jp/games/show/13148?lang=EN And if, by some miracle, someone experienced in Japanese-to-English localization would like to help translate the full script, I would be more grateful than I can express. Though I should warn you—the script is incredibly long.

A Tribute to the American Spirit! Lustgard Animation - nr.15 - 2024 Man you folks sure know how to throw a party.I’m thrilled to share my latest animation, Njorijanna takes center stage once again, standing proudly on the trunk of a Cybertruck, as the summer breeze sweeps through her hair, (outside my window, there is snow...)This piece is a heartfelt homage to the American spirit, a force that has inspired me deeply throughout my life.Growing up in Norway in the late 80s, my childhood was profoundly shaped by Western culture. From the Amiga and supersoakers to unforgettable 90s movies, computer magazines, iconic music, and even commercials/ads—everything about it felt larger than life. It left a lasting impression, one I’m still grateful for today. I even owned a third gen Camaro, living a little piece of that dream. This animation also celebrates a moment of optimism for the USA, a country I believe has the potential to restore itself to its former glory. While I can’t afford a Cybertruck (yet!), I built one in 3D for this project, partly as a nod to Elon and the platform he owns Twitter/X, where so many of you came to know Lustgard.I hope this piece resonates as a celebration of resilience, freedom, and the enduring influence of a country that has its flaws but remains a source of inspiration. Thank you, brothers and sisters from across the pond, for everything you’ve given me. Here’s to better days ahead! A special thank you to YNArts3D for the incredible M60 model, to my brother for playing a beautiful rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner on his guitar, and to Ray, Hal, Walt and Monty for expertly mixing the sound and foley effects. Your contributions brought another level this animation, and I couldn’t have done that part without you! Disclaimer from the Sound Team.Hal, Ray, Walt, and Monty—the brilliant minds behind the sound design—want it noted that they do not endorse the use of the iconic screech attributed to the American bald eagle in this video. As loyal supporters of the American Birding Association, they feel obligated to point out that the sound used is, in fact, from a red-tailed hawk. While they acknowledge it was chosen purely for its iconic status, they insist on making it clear that they objected to this bird-based creative liberty. Rest assured, any inaccuracies here are purely for entertainment value (and a little wink to tradition). - Alluringsteed

[Super Mario RPG] A retelling of the Star Road Warrior’s story in an animatic format.

The Star Road Warrior’s story retold in an animatic/motion comic format. SPOILER WARNING: This animation covers a lot of ground in the Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars storyline. Despite some of the original storyline being retold in a different light in this project, I recommend playing either the original game or the remake first if you want to avoid any potential Super Mario RPG spoilers. Frogfucius, also warns you at the beginning XD If you couldn't tell already, I'm a huge fan of the Mario RPGs, and PMTTYD and SMRPG: LotSS are two of my favorite Nintendo games. It's so exciting that these two RPGs were both remade and released within a year apart from each other (and M&L: Brothership later this year as well!). It’s wild that the Super Mario RPG remake was developed by Nintendo and Square Enix, which seems like an unlikely partnership nowadays! I can't believe these two remakes are still real! Be on the lookout for many hidden Mario RPG references - across the Super Mario PRG, Paper Mario, and Mario & Luigi series in the animatic. At the announcement of the Super Mario RPG Remake I started to work on this animatic. With my Donkey Kong animation nearing completion I decided to sideline that project for a little while and make DK the priority. Returning to this project every so often with my interest perked at more Mario RPG announcements, I decided to complete this in a more animatic-like format. For anyone unaware of the character Geno (or ♡ ♪ ! ?) from Super Mario RPG, he is a star spirit that inhabits a wooden doll owned by a young Toad boy, named Gaz. Geno has been sent from a “higher authority” to restore peace in Mario’s world. His purpose is essential to the Super Mario RPG storyline, and when fighting in battle he acts as a glass cannon (with high offense and low defense). In my opinion, he is one of the coolest and chillest Mario characters and he has only been on this one stand alone game (with a few notable references in other Nintendo games). Square (Square Enix nowadays) had previously described Geno having close resemblance to "Pinocchio" in a Nintendo Power article. This animatic is a little unorthodox and in some ways feels closer to a finished animation and in some ways not. It's more of a hybrid between a motion comic and an animatic, with some more heavily animated elements mixed in. I also wanted to give each character their own unique outline color, to make them all stand out from each other as well as background elements. The colored outline for the characters also represents life - which is most notable when the Geno doll is inhabited by the star spirit. It may be disappointing that this is not in full color and as of sharing this, I don’t plan to continue to build on this project, in an effort to pursue newer and different animation ideas. This project was not built at all with Adobe Animate (my typical animation tool), instead I had just used Adobe Photoshop and created animation through the use of layer comps. This style is mostly experimental and I don’t plan to continue in this format. Initially this process seemed to work quite well (when more story boarding the animatic), but when it came to animating sections the process felt a bit clunkier in my opinion, despite the ease to create some different line work and broader depth in shading the characters. This animatic also brings back my amateur voice acting and this surely tested out my range with a whole bunch of characters lol. I had a focus on trying to voice all of the characters and avoid the use of any voice clips from Mario games. It was fun trying to recreate some classic Mario voice impressions and at the same time create new voices for Geno, Mallow, Bowyer and other Super Mario RPG characters. 20 animators redo the original english dub opening, ROCK THE DRAGON

Toriyama sensei's work inspired multiple generations of animators, especially due to being dubbed in so many languages early on in the popularity of anime in the west.We originally released this on Goku Day 2024, and now it's here on Newgrounds to share as well. I know this song is hated by a lot of people for good reason, lol. But please follow me on this line of thought- I'm 38, and I've been a huge DB fan since I was about 11 or 12 in mid 90s America. My first exposure to the show was even earlier, original Dragon Ball in full Japanese airing very early in the morning on some channel we got when I was a little kid. I'd think this was a fever dream if I didn't remember so many details. The impression the show left on me (in both instances) was enormous. How it LOOKED and how it MOVED. I'd never seen anything like that then. Seeing this dumb intro blast on to tv all insanely with the Ocean dub in like, 1997, broke my brain in a phenomenal way. This I know to be true as well for a lot of current animators who are aging rapidly like me (lol). I've seen Japanese language DB several times over at this point, and like a weird purist don't ever watch the dub-- but oh baby, the Ocean dub in the 90's just hits that specific way that brings me back to being so small and sitting in front of a tube TV, absorbing the show into my bones. I wanted to pay tribute to that feeling, and how much effect this feeling has had on the animation community across the globe. I was deeply saddened by the loss Tori-sensei this year, way too soon for it not to be tragic. I feel like I owe so much to him. I hope he knew the sheer amount of people he influenced, just exactly that same way. Brianne Drouhard - Worthikids - Aaron Long - RubberRoss w/Giwi - Quinn Taketa - Charlie Bryant - David Liu - Nas Pasha - SmallBu - Tom Barkel w/Sarah Harper - Ashley Nichols - Louie Zong - Paul Robertson - Arin Hanson - KC Green - Parker Simmons - Abby Memedokies
