The Score 4k

An interactive stylized 3D animated comedy about a dysfunctional team of adventurers.

Hey everyone, I'm making this post because I'm really looking for some honest feedback from the Newgrounds community. To be completely open: I've submitted 3 animations here before. They all passed judgement (thanks for the votes!), but across all of them, I've received exactly one comment. It's been a bit disheartening working in a vacuum, so I'm hoping this time I can get some thoughts from you guys—whether it's critique on the pacing, the animation, or the concept itself. I just want to learn and improve. The Project: I've just finished the Season Finale of my solo indie series, "Heroic Quests". It's made entirely in Unreal Engine 5. For this episode, I tried something ambitious: an Interactive Adventure (similar to Bandersnatch or In Space with Markiplier), but with a chaotic DnD/RPG theme. The party faces a Troll, and YOU have to decide who takes the risk. There are multiple paths and endings depending on your choices. Technical / Audio Note: Since I'm a solo dev with zero budget, I used ElevenLabs AI for the voice acting. I know it's not the Newgrounds ideal (I love human VAs!), but it was the only way I could tell this story with my current resources. The script, animation, lighting, and editing are all 100% human effort by me. 🎙️ Call for Voice Actors (Collab / Unpaid): That being said, I really want to move away from AI for the next episode! I am actively looking for voice actors who would be interested in collaborating. Since this is a zero-budget passion project, I unfortunately cannot offer payment at this stage. However, if you are looking for high-quality visual material for your demo reel or just want to voice some chaotic fantasy characters for fun, I'd love to work with you! Please DM me or leave a comment if you're interested. Where to play: The video below is the Trailer/Intro. Because the interactivity relies on YouTube's End Screen linking system, the full playable experience is hosted there. 🔗 PLAY THE FULL ADVENTURE HERE: <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJxXHH5tKOU" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJxXHH5tKOU</a> If you have a spare moment to try one path and let me know if the "game" mechanics feel fun or gimmicky, or if the comedy lands, I'd appreciate it more than you know. Thanks for keeping indie animation alive!

This one is pretty graphic intensive, so if it's lagging there are some graphical options under "System Options" that may help. Hair glow is off by default because it has a high impact on performance for how little it adds.
This is a short loop that was commissioned by anonymous.
The character is Gloriosa Daisy (transformed) from Equestria Girls: The Legend of Everfree.
All animation and art by me.
The voice of Gloriosa Daisy was provided by Oolay-Tiger. She does phenomenal voice work! You can follow her on tumblr here: <a href="http://oolay-tiger.tumblr.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">http://oolay-tiger.tumblr.com/</a>

A song made from Madness Interactive gun sounds!

That's right, a song made entirely from Madness Interactive gun sounds (except for, once again, a bass drum loop). Make sure you look at the credits if you watch this. Now I realize that this has a lot of small problems but just try to looks past those when rating, and I know this technically is just a video but it certainly seems appropiate to put it on newgrounds. I also have it on Youtube under the username HoneyAlmondFlax. Be sure to check out Team Fortress 2 Gun Sounds! Okay, now i'm gonna answer some questions so people stop saying the same stuff in reviews: The mp3 is on the left/ in the audio portal, and was a week before the video came out! I was inspired to make this and TF2 Gun Sounds from Ballad of Black Mesa, COD4 gun sounds, BF2 gun sounds and the many Counter-Strike ones. It took about a month to make this. If I had had more time before the contest you can bet that the video would be even more amazing!

Madness Gun Sounds!

This poor chap wants to get to the top of the cliff. Won't you help him?

Edit: Spiced up main menu and changed from 'Game' to 'Movie'. Please stop whining.
Edit: Added Madness Day '08 Splash Page. Select one of eight (plus easter egg) possible ways to get to the top of the cliff. -Good luck. My 'official' submission for Madness Day '08. -Please reccomend this to the Madness Day '08 category, your support is greatly apprectiated! ^-^

Cliff Madness

An interactive movie. You decide where you want a fight between Pico and Darnell to go.

ATTENTION!!!!!!! WHILE WATCHING RYANS PART WHERE IT ENdS WITH PICO HOLDING A LITTLE GIRL, MANY PEOPLE THINK THTA WHEN YOU CLICK DARNELL IT TAKES YOU TO THE MAIN MENU. I MADE THE MISTAKE OF PUTTING THE MAIN MENU BUTTON OVER THE DARNELL HITS BUTTON, I CAN'T FIX IT NOW FOR LONG REASONS BUT JUST BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU HIT THE DARNELL BUTTON, IT STILL WORKS. My second pico day submission. Pico fights are the generic thing to do on pico day. I wanted to do that but give it a twist. I decided to do a collab, give it some sort of continuity, but then the idea of making it interactive came to mind. where the viewer chooses where to take it. I admit there are some continuity flaws. But over all it's a first of it's kind. maybe this will spawn more similar idea collabs that will all together be more polished ideas of this concept. As for the collab itself, i am really happy with the result, personally. I think that it consists of a good variety of styles and approaches to a pico fight. I think the videos produced by the artists are very fresh and interesting to watch over and over. I seriously cannot pick a favorite. Each is literally fantastic in it's own way. For that i thank the artists who joined up to make this project what it is. As for Thanks, there is also a good handful of people i'd like to thank. To start off I'd like to thank MaestroRage who produced some great musical pieces. Unfortunately time grew short, and couldn't finish up some great music he had in store. Secondly, Christian B. Christiansen, cause i thought of this collab with him and he stuck to making the intro and his part through whatever circumstances. Thirdly, the Swain, who jumped in yesterday to help how he could through some technical difficulties the project was going through. Fourthly, Corey Griffin (Atomic-Noodle) who i know is great at making menus and displays from making my site and was open to designing some kick ass menu work for this collab. I suck at making menus. And lastly, (but definitely not least) Keith, who successfully fixed all the faulty programming at the last minute and saved this project. Thanks Keith, I owe you a bunch of drinks at the London Meet in August :) AS FOR TECHNICAL STUFF, DON'T FORGET THAT THIS IS AN INTERACTIVE MOVIE AND MAKE SURE YOU GET TO WATCH ALL THE POSSIBILITIES. JUST SO YOU KNOW THERE ARE 4 POSSIBLE ENDINGS. I hope you enjoy... Happy Pico Day everyone, and Happy birthday Tom. -HVH

The Press & Punch Collab

Interactive "choose your adventure" across the dimensions!

The seventh installment of Sci-Fi Guys, "The Fourth Dementia," is probably the most complicated piece of animated quadramorphitude (I had to invent my own word here) I have ever created. Throughout the episode you get to choose the outcome of what happens next, without necessarily stumbling across any "horribly wrong choices" which would make the episode only a few seconds long, etc. It was a huge challenge &amp; I hope you enjoy the result. On the DVD, this episode was edited into a linear storyline, selectively including some of the better-animated sequences. But only here online can you see it in all its interactive glory! Speaking of the DVD, help me out tremendously by ordering one up here: <a href="http://www.umop.com/dvd.htm" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">www.umop.com/dvd.htm</a> (scroll down to "Every Little Something by DAVE") Thanks and enjoy! --Dave

Sci-Fi Guys 7

Thank you to everyone who made comments about this movie. I've added new scenes and more interactivity to get to a winning outcome.
This is still a short movie version of our full blown negotiation game. Our negotiation game consists of 5 flash movies held together by a flash brain. Because it would be impossible to control five movies here we've removed the negotiation element and are just showing the movie with a little interactivity. You can suggest to Syd and Wilma what to do. Unfortunately, they may argue against it and do something stupid. WARNING: This movie is graphic intensive. If you have a slow computer please right click on the movie and reduce the quality. Otherwise it may chug slowly and it won't be much fun.

Move or Die!

SNES Parody of Earthbound - Interactive movie with 3 different endings. WOW!

Earthbound - "Thats my Bitch!" A SNES parody of one of my most favorite games. Sorry for the big file size but there is 3 different endings and it is worth the wait. Note from the Author: I didn't use flash in a long ass time! This is my first movie in nearly 2 years. I believe this movie is one of my better ones but I don't know how I compare with other animators these days. I want to make a big comback though! At least cut me a little slack. Enjoy the movie! Especially you EB knuckle-heads! Added AntiClockClock because we run a site together and this will soon be on the flash section.
