10 artists animate to 1 sound file with unique interpretations

"Did You Hear That?" is a collaboration of sound and animation from 10 artists here on Newgrounds. All activities in this collab were conducted through private messages. Meaning members had no interaction with each other, never knew who they were working with and thus could not influence one another's interpretations. Each member was told to hand in one random sound effect. The sound was allowed to be anything that they wanted. I took all handed in sound effects, and placed them into a random order. Each member was given this compiled sound file, and weren't allowed to change it in any way. The name "Did You Hear That?" came from the idea that each sound effect was interpreted differently. So each member heard and envisioned a different scene than the others. It's an experiment and an exercise to see the unique perspectives each artist will take when listening to the same sound file. It yields fun results, and is a great way to get the creativity flowing! Thank you so much to the members for your hard work and efforts. This was a blast to work on, and I loved organizing it!
I hope you all love how it turned out as much as I do. I apologize for all the delays and I hope everyone understands. Thanks again to LazyMuffin for another unique song to play us through the menu. Neat! And for those of you who read this far, dig around in the menus. You might just find some special info :)

10 participants all animate to the same sound file with different interpretations

I just wanted to say thanks for just over a week on the front page. I appreciate it Tom. We even got the big featured item slot for a day or two! So that was really wicked :D
As of today we also hit 100k views which is awesome! Thanks to everyone who stopped by to watch. It was a blast to make, and I appreciate the support. Look out for a volume 3 somewhere down the line! [[August 23rd]]
Sorry for some of the initial bugs with the menu, but I got everything ironed out. The About section now works, the sounds contributed are corrected, and a few other minor adjustments are ready to go!! ----------- "Did You Hear That?" is a collaboration of sound and animation from 10 talented artists here on Newgrounds. All participants in this collab were hand selected by me, Goat-Man. All activities in this collab were conducted through privatemessages. Meaning members had no interaction with each other, and never knew who they were working with. Each member was told to hand in one random sound effect. The sound was allowed to be anything that they wanted. I took all handed in sound effects, and organized them into a random order. Each member was given this compiled sound file, and weren't allowed to change it in any way. Since there were no interactions between members, each animation came out 100% different because they were unable to take ideas from one another. The name "Did You Hear That?" came from the idea that each sound effect was interpreted differently. So each member heard and invisioned a different scene than the others. This is actually the first time that members in the collab will be able to see everyone that they worked with throughout the project. But, that was really just me being a tease more than anything :P Thank you so much to the members for your hard work and efforts.
This was a blast to work on, and I loved organizing it!
I hope you all love how it turned out as much as I do. Special thanks to LazyMuffin for narrating the menu, and also making a fantastic song! It really helped make it that much more enjoyeable :)
A big thanks to Mr. Fulp for giving us a spot on the front page, as well as the featured movie section! Thanks so much! I love Newgrounds!!

Did You Hear That? vol 2

I think that was a spaceship crashing, but it might have been an amoeba exploding

[June 7th-13th]
After a message from Mr. Fulp himself, the collab is now front paged! I've never been front paged for anything I submitted. I have for a few collabs and such, but this was submitted under my name! So thank you so much to Tom, and to all the supports. Means a lot, and glad to see some extra exposure for the collab and its participants :) [June 4th]
I'm pissed off at my own idiocy! I just realized that after all the work I put into this, I never gave it a preloader!!!! How many people watched it, all they saw was a white screen while it was loading, voted 0 and moved on!? Although it is frustrating beyond belief, I can't live in the past. Atleast it's fixed now. Ugh... ------------------------- "Did You Hear That?" is a collaboration of sound and animation from 10 talented artists here on Newgrounds. Did You Hear That?

A goofy little animation I made for Playboy.com (hence the logo) This was actually finished several months back, before Saturday Morning Watchmen. It doesn't rate as my favourite thing I've made but I'm glad I finished it up and I hope you guys can get a kick out of it. Big thanks to Ego for being my sexy sounding narrator, you're a total freakin' pro man. As for the other voices you hear, I play Hal, and the actresses are both my mother and sister. I'm sick of people mentioning this in reviews. I had a deadline to meet and didn't leave myself time to outsource the roles. They're just acting, it's not like we fucked after. We just fooled around... Harry xxx

Misinterpretive Porn Star

A musical interpretation of the best film ever

A little side project for us, song and movie was essentially made in about four hours. If you think snakes on a plane is played out, then don't watch this

Snakes on a Plane

A small interpretation of one of the greatest rivalries in the Sonic series.

The sequel is out now, so be sure to check it out! It's called "Sonic vs. Shadow 2: The Chase", but it's labeled "Sonic vs. Shadow 2: T.C.". Enjoy! If your having trouble finding the easter eggs, here are some hints: Easter Egg #1: Secret Chao Menu
It's during the Super Sonic Scene. You'll see it in a place you probably won't be paying attention to... Easter Egg #2: Secret Scene
It's in the final outtake scene, and it's not Mega Man's little cameo in the bottom left of the screen... If you e-mail me, I'll tell you EXACTLY where they are and what they unlock (if you ask).

Sonic vs. Shadow: Rivalry

A unique interpretation of the Rammstein song, Sonne.

This is a different interpretation of the Rammstein song, Sonne. I tried to fit as many of my ideas into this flash as possible, and I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed making it. :) The movie is around 4 minutes long, so the download should be worth the wait.
