we made ANOTHER ONE☝️ enjoy! :)I’m so happy the city of Minneapolis said they don’t use Flock :) isn’t that so great? yippie (to those of you that don’t live here, they’re everywhere 👍)this is another short in our Smolotov series!!here's more about the series:Smolotov is a young anarchist that train hopped across the country with her best friends & her loon, “Big Dawg.” (Those close to Big Dawg call him Pancake.) Her and her friends snuck to Liberty Island after receiving magic “party favours” from a local. They went to the Statue of Liberty completely unnoticed. Then, something crazy happened... At first, they were concerned that they may be hallucinating. The cloth on the statue was swaying like real cloth. On investigating, they found out the cloth was real. All three of the friends cut a piece of the cloth and wrapped it on different parts of their bodies as a bandana equivalent of a best friendship bracelet. When train hopping back home, they noticed strange glowing from the cloths... And when they finally stepped back on home soil, it happened: their first .. magical girl transformation!!!!!!!!!!

SMOLOTOV: Flock Cameras

Finally got around to animating a dream I've had (many times.) Ran up against my self imposed time frame, so please excuse the lack of furniture, but to be honest, dreams don't make sense so take it as artistic liberty. Also had to render in 1k, I mainly stitched this scene together from older projects, but managed to fuck up the assets so badly that I pushed the texture memory past 16gbs (many duplicate shaders), it could only render a few frames before crashing blender and subsequently my desktop manager. I could have fixed it but the render wouldn't have been done before my mini vacation. I need to fix the assets anyway so maybe at a later date, I can come back and update this to 4k, but don't hold your breath.

BEACH DAY EPISODE! Happy summer :) My partner and I made this short because we love going to the beach so much. Fun fact about Minnesota: water is cherished and loved here. Protecting water and loving our beaches is one of the few things EVERYONE can agree on! We agree on it so much, we would do ACTUALLY ANYTHING to protect our beaches. And I mean ANYTHING. We would protect them.... by ANY means necessary. AND the boundary waters. Thanks so much to everyone that's been watching our Smolotov shorts :3 If you want to see the other ones, I've been posting them recently! here's more about the series:Smolotov is a young anarchist that train hopped across the country with her best friends & her loon, “Big Dawg.” (Those close to Big Dawg call him Pancake.) SMOLOTOV

I turned my "Starting Soon" into a video game attract screen.

When you're firing up a Twitch stream it's a good idea to give the internet 10 or even 15 minutes to send out push notifications, do API handshakes, get a little coffee at the deli down the street, and whatever else the tiny gnomes inside the tubes have to do to get everything going. I decided to flesh out that period with some animation. The original clip of riding the elevator was originally inspired by playing a lot of Metal Gear Solid. It's all Aseprite work, and consists of a couple of very slowly moving sprites above and below my little vtuber mascot moving in parallax. I could probably stand to open it back up and flesh out the city/ mirror the statue of liberty which was originally drawn from memory. Still, I think it has a charm through the flaws. Giving the Statue of Liberty a giant gun and turning it into an apparent villain was a really funny bit back when I started using it as an aesthetic, but now I feel like it's hitting hard. Still good, but different reasons. I used Aseprite, Blender, and Spritemancer to pull it together. Aseprite was the heaving bulk of the work. Organizing the animation chunks and even pulling together the final animation. Spritemancer was used to generate the smoke effects in the gunshot segment, and I fully modeled that gun before rotoscoping it in Aseprite to maintain an aesthetic. I even went to the trouble of making the barrel automatically camber up just a little bit when the slide goes back. The turnarounds and final sequence with the Statue of Liberty are using freely available 3D models that were also rendered in blender and palletized in Aseprite. I feel like I stuck close to the ethos of making something like this for a DOS game without being shackled to technical limitations that only the turbo-est of nerds would ever appreciate. The soundtrack is a modified version of the intro track to "Eye of the Commando" titled "Prelude to Freedom". It was provided directly from the musician and I'm using it with full permission. Eye of the Commando is, unrelatedly, an absolute banger of a game that you're missing out on if you haven't seen yet. https://belthesar.bandcamp.com/album/eye-of-the-commando-original-soundtrackhttps://store.steampowered.com/app/3016480/Eye_of_the_Commando/http://twitch.tv/wobblypython

A small showcase of.. my procrastination coming out with new skills.. and anxiety!

Right so, I've been sitting on this one for a while. started it a few months ago. stopped, procrastinated for a good while. started it again, stopped for about two weeks before I got the mood to actually finish it. and looking back its definently "better" than the last one I've posted. more audio usage, slightly better quality animation if still a little funky at times.I even took the liberty of trying out some more experimental stuff like animating electricity. whether or not the masses enjoy it so be it but to me. I'm okay with this. 280 some odd frame hell. This is actually the alternate music version using Crawler Madness - Locknar, the one from Project Nexus 2.

A Tribute to the American Spirit! Lustgard Animation - nr.15 - 2024 Man you folks sure know how to throw a party.I’m thrilled to share my latest animation, Njorijanna takes center stage once again, standing proudly on the trunk of a Cybertruck, as the summer breeze sweeps through her hair, (outside my window, there is snow...)This piece is a heartfelt homage to the American spirit, a force that has inspired me deeply throughout my life.Growing up in Norway in the late 80s, my childhood was profoundly shaped by Western culture. From the Amiga and supersoakers to unforgettable 90s movies, computer magazines, iconic music, and even commercials/ads—everything about it felt larger than life. It left a lasting impression, one I’m still grateful for today. I even owned a third gen Camaro, living a little piece of that dream. This animation also celebrates a moment of optimism for the USA, a country I believe has the potential to restore itself to its former glory. While I can’t afford a Cybertruck (yet!), I built one in 3D for this project, partly as a nod to Elon and the platform he owns Twitter/X, where so many of you came to know Lustgard.I hope this piece resonates as a celebration of resilience, freedom, and the enduring influence of a country that has its flaws but remains a source of inspiration. Thank you, brothers and sisters from across the pond, for everything you’ve given me. Here’s to better days ahead! A special thank you to YNArts3D for the incredible M60 model, to my brother for playing a beautiful rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner on his guitar, and to Ray, Hal, Walt and Monty for expertly mixing the sound and foley effects. Your contributions brought another level this animation, and I couldn’t have done that part without you! Disclaimer from the Sound Team.Hal, Ray, Walt, and Monty—the brilliant minds behind the sound design—want it noted that they do not endorse the use of the iconic screech attributed to the American bald eagle in this video. As loyal supporters of the American Birding Association, they feel obligated to point out that the sound used is, in fact, from a red-tailed hawk. While they acknowledge it was chosen purely for its iconic status, they insist on making it clear that they objected to this bird-based creative liberty. Rest assured, any inaccuracies here are purely for entertainment value (and a little wink to tradition). - Alluringsteed
