Death's silly little victim

Hey folks, been a while huh? It's been like, 30 days since my last upload. Anyway, this is what I've been working on for all that time, yes, I know the movement is a little stuttery and yes, I know my microphone is a little too quiet, I'm sorry. I'm working with MS paint and Clipchamp studio over here, and the only microphone I got is the one on my headset. That being stated, I am really proud of this animation, I think it came out pretty well despite what I was working with (and despite how lazy I am for that matter) For those who it will concern, I won't be doing any more P0stalVertig0 after this 2026. This year is the last you'll see of Benn and Larah for a while, at least in the realm of storytelling. I might draw some art of them here and there, but not as much as I used to. I've got about 3 to 4 art projects going before I go on a hiatus for the rest of the year. And on that note, on to the news. The year is almost up, just 3 more months till 2027 hits us. Overall, I'm really proud with my output, I can actually see the improvement and evolution in my art style from the start of the year to now, and I hope to keep improving. There were times where I would rush out a piece the was perhaps half-baked or just not up to par with the rest of my output simply so I could meet a made up deadline that I thought up. I don't want to do that no more, starting in 2027, my art output might slow down, and hopefully that means an improvement in my art. I want to improve my shadows, character design, backgrounds, boobs, stuff like that. With that in mind, I got something y'all might like, a new project in my mind, and not just that, 2 OF THEM TOO! The first one in store will be a continuation of my UnderDurst Yello' series. (if you have not seen that, please check it out) This time, instead of Undertale Yellow, I'm gonna plop Fred Durst off into the cozy town of Hometown, where he will meet a whole slew of new and inviting monsters, deers, birds, barney the dinosaur, OH MY! And it is in this town where he will begin another journey of death, music, comedy, and furries. Yeah, okay, enough beating around the bush, I'm parodying Deltarune, we're doing DeltaDurst. For anyone interest, just check out the banner for my Newgrounds page to get an idea of what's in store. Secondly, Backwash. In the year 2012, God came down to earth to take those worthy souls back to heaven to be spared judgement day. Finding nothing but a world conquered by sex, drugs, and violence, he brought no one back, there was not rapture, yet there was judgement. 1000 years later, in the year 3012, a man by the name of Byron Scotch finding himself transported from the past into a dark a dreary world where he must fight off a slew of animalistic super soldiers, and by some miracle, get back home. I'll only be releasing concept art in 2027 for this one. I want to plan it out a little more, but what I just told you is the basic premise. Thank you all for checking out my art, it truly means a lot to me. I hope that whatever I make is up to your standards of what you expect from me. I wish you all nothing but the best, God bless each and every one of you. Hello, Newgrounds, O-ho-HONK!!🤡 You may be wondering "Why didn't you upload this a month ago when you completed this thing?!" Well... Nothing prompted me to make this but pure will-power & my love for animation, & I gained inspiration from works like Cuphead, 1951's Alice in Wonderland & Land of the Lustrous! I had many times where I thought I wasn't going to make it, but I did it, and I'm beyond proud of myself.♥ ♥ I just want to take this moment to say THANK YOU to my AMAZING Voice Actors & The Amazing Support I've gotten from My Fiancé, Family, Friends & YOU, My Community, in Support of my First-Ever Independent FILM!! 💚 I seriously would not have been able to complete this film had I not had the support from ALL OF YOU!! I owe you all my life!! 💚 🕊️ & During the production, my Little Sister, Milly, passed away in January of 2026, Rest in Peace, my amazing sister, I love you & miss you so much. 🩷-------------------------------------------------------------------🎨 ALL THE ANIMATIONS, CHARACTERS, ART & MUSIC(*) WAS MADE & CREATED BY ME!![ Moa "Baphomet The Clown" Olsson, aka. My (first) Animated project (unfinished) animated video reference of TF2 / EMESIS BLUE.(Thank You Newgrounds! And Thank You Everybody for your Supports!) NOTICE: This video is "NOT Made For Kids."(same as all of my Videos and artworks are Not Made For Kids)But this video has No gory and severe blood in this video, Just a Mild fictional/fantasy violence for shooting on her own empty car. LOL. Description Story:Okhotnitza (The Lynx) was about to call for backup. But Blood Bonecrusher (The Spotted Hyena) has already have something for backup for Okhotnitza. Blood Bonecrusher open her trunk, And Okhotnitza was a little surprised that she not realized there was her rocket launcher back of Okhotnitza's car. Okhotnitza was asking Blood Bonecrusher what is she going to do with her rocket launcher, and Blood Bonecrusher idea is going to rocket jump across the broken bridge.(Blood Bonecrusher must've played Team Fortress 2 much. LOL.) But Kholod-smert Okhotnitza (meaning in English Cold-Death Huntress) disagree the dumb risk for that kind of her idea, so then slapped Blood Bonecrusher's Rocket Launcher off her hands. And drops the RPG on the ground, and then it causing the trigger on to accidently pull in the direction of Okhotnitza's car. There are references to many movies, series, games, characters, even youtubers and videos in the video, so don't forget to look carefully. and this is the 2nd last part. Part 1 is having fun with gregory and roxy (coming soon) The video production took 3 months. By separating it with 40 sfm sessions and then exporting it, it totaled 108GB including 38 cut videos and sounds. First of all, I would like to explain as a long text.Firstly, our Youtube channel mostly grew with GaFF (gregory and friends fun) series, but I, as a famous youtuber's dream, wanted to make all kinds of different videos, but this is difficult because of youtube's algorithm. The phrase "you reap what you sow" is a good term for YT channel. If a video has grown, you should continue with that video, especially since it is the most suitable site to earn money from each video, I paid attention to copyright. My mother insisted that I make long videos that were liked on this subject, and I decided to make this video by combining all of these things. I came up with the movie Puss in boots 2 and was inspired by many youtubers (e.g. pootis engage and others). When I first made it, I thought it would be quick and easy, but when I tried to make it to the end, I had no idea how long this video idea would take. It was the longest animation video I made on my Youtube channel, even in my life. It may sound exaggerated, but I started this video on February 7th and finished it in 3MONTH (90 days). actually it took about 81 days, not counting the 1 week wait, when I tried to make the video until the end, I started to lose my mind because it took a long time, and I had many incredible disasters, crises, even I went so crazy that I was going to break the computer, Or I would throw myself out the window. All my means were not enough to make this video, but I still tried all my efforts and did not give up. I didn't give up and finally got it done.Normally, I would make models for reference from more places, but I forgot to do some of them and I didn't want to tire myself too much, I'm already tired. normally I wanted to cut the movements with pootis engaged style and I was going to do the smear effect, but I thought that the cut movements would decrease the realism a little bit, and the smear effect is constantly breaking the model with every movement, so I wanted to use montion blur instead. I asked everyone for help on many Discord servers, they helped a little, albeit a little. I couldn't do it because I didn't have the capacity and time to make a model and I could have asked someone else to have isn't done, but unfortunately I didn't have the money to pay for it, so I made it on my own. I didn't make this video for money, I made it to become a famous youtuber. After these things, it doesn't matter to me how much it will be watched or who will like it and find it positive (already, thanks to youtube, such videos are recommended). What I want from you, I want you to recognize and appreciate the hours and efforts I spent on making this video, in short, I want you to be respected. thanks for listening

[FNAF/SFM] Gregory vs Burntrap

Music by Armin Jusuframić, performed 2025, https://arminjmusic.com/Thank you so much for this fantastic dark ambient reinterpretation! The original version of this comic-animatic was drafted around 2010. Dead Space was the game that motivated me to buy my first proper gaming computer back in the 2010s.Back then, during a gaming party with some friends, one of them introduced us to Dead Space which he played in his Xbox 360. I was Blown away. I was unaware of the advancements in horror gaming and loved the immersive environment and creature designs. So I started saving for both a custom gaming computer from a small PC building business(a Rig which would also serve me for art and design) and a physical copy at an Office Depot (I didn't know of Steam until the sequel came out). While I was setting apart the money to buy my gaming rig, thanks to the immense hype and anticipation I started drawing the original version of this comic. This scenario was drawn thanks to the lore that my friend who owned the game at the time, told us while he was playing, and I also listened to the lullaby posted here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bpYz4EQVo1w&list=RDbpYz4EQVo1w&start_radio=1, Something to note is that, prior to drafting the original version I didn't see the marketing trailer, I didn't watch other gameplays or youtube videos, I didn't check the Wikia, and the character references for drawing were scarce on the internet. As you see that version was left incomplete. I was lacking some art skills, and the figures and books from the game were not very available in my country until much, much later. I got my PC and my game and forgot about it for a long while. I picked up this fan art piece, after many years as it was a fun exercise in graphic narrative, and now I learned a bit of extra skills to properly finish comics. For the storytelling, I took inspiration from the Lullaby and used the lyrics as symbolisms to narrate the sequence within these pages. This is the tought process and break-down of the panels you see: Twinkle Twinkle, Little Star (glowing eyes)How I wonder what you are (a lifeform, a necromorph)Up above the world so high (necromorph falls from the ceiling)Like a diamond in the sky (Necromorph's glowing eye+ The Miner looking up)When the blazing sun is gone, (Sun=Miner's life)When the nothing shines upon, (Darkness=Miner's death)Then you show your little light (Little light=Infector's Proboscis, sign of reincarnation/life, tunnel of light while dying or near death)Twinkle, twinkle, all the night. (All the night=Time Passing, transformation ongoing, preparing to return to life as a new form) Then the traveler in the dark, (Isaac)Thanks you for your little spark, (living monster=uncleared area )He could not see which way to go, (path unexplored, exit level is near)If you did not twinkle so. (if Isaac didn't find a living Necromorph) When the blazing sun is gone, (Marker blocks sunlight)When the nothing shines upon, (Darkness=Marker is the source of the nightmare)Though I know not what you are, (the necromorph looming behind)Twinkle, twinkle, little star. (necromorph glowing eyes, little star= a lifeform) I haven't checked newest sources or lore expansion to see if what I "saw" in the lyrics was accurate to the story's representation XD. But still, wanted to finish this. Thanks so much for watching! I hope to get/play the reboot and buy its artbook soon!

Reuter confronts his boss, Mr. Oldman, Oldman confronts the black gaping maw that is death, death confronts Shannon who, as a robot, is generally indifferent. Most of that happens. No one gets their butts eaten this time. At least on screen. Next time we get to have characters that aren't voiced by me which should be a lot of fun, and the story actually gets moving. -If fortune cookies aren't Chinese and the shamrock shake isn't Irish, then that's just two more reasons to be proud to be an American. Just some food for thought. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Sound effects from freesound.org- door open:https://freesound.org/people/NachtmahrTV/sounds/571739/ - NGTV Halloween Broadcast

The time has come!If I remember correctly, this is my first ever dedicated Halloween post/media 🤔.(Always wanted, never had time 😝 but this year I found some time with the final phases of Mei's Corruption being a lot of render time, I could find some mental load to affect to this) Lara Croft 3D model by Wildeer StudioSound Design and Music by Mathieu HellotLara Croft’s voice by Patapon ANYWAYLet's answer the question right away because this is also and most importantly my first official prod including AI tools 😱!(Yeah I know this is fitting with Halloween because it's a scary subject 😝) I've posted some WIPs of this project for supporters (https://subscribestar.adult/theropedude) including the first version I tested as a proof of concept and a compilation of some of the sections I didn't use in the final puzzling but that I find cool. TLDR : I love playing with this, see you next time 💚. If you have been following me long enough, you may recognize the first image of the video because it was indeed the first image of a full 3D video I crafted back in the days 😊(https://the-rope-dude.com/2024/05/19/lara-breast-tease-01/). But you may also know that I've been playing with AI tools since at least 2023 and I find this kind of tech absolutely amazing. I've tried a few things and failed a lot but now I feel like the time has come to successfully integrate some of these tools in my workflow and therefore, here is the first example that I'm confident enough to call a success 😁.Of course it's not perfect and I'm not perfectly satisfied with everything but I never am and I'm always learning + the tools apparently can't stop to get better and better every 2 months 🤩. I want to share with you how using these tools make me feel (production wise)As a 3D animator I feel like a puppeteer, precisely pulling every string of my puppet to make exactly what I want. I have a lot of detailed control but it takes a lot of time. With AI Tools I feel more like an art or movie director, trying to guide actors in the direction I want and iterating with several takes until I have the "good one".Both have their pros and cons (Mostly control and speed of prod imo) so I'm looking for ways to have the best of each world 😁.Also for example a specific camera movement is a lot easier to do in 3D but animating 6 hands groping and playing realistically with boobies and flesh is a nightmare 😝.(And to quote Kurzgesagt : I want to use AI like the align tool in Adobe Illustrator.)How was it made exactly?Of course this is overly simplified but I may explain more in depth if some people are interested but to summarize the process :- Make an image in Blender.- (Optional) Generate a 3/8 sec video with Wan2.2 (I2V) and take the last image of the video.- Make an image in Blender or Edit the previous one with Qwen/Photoshop/Blender(Control-Nets).- Generate a 3/8 sec video with Wan2.2 (FLF2V with the last frame you just edited)- Repeat- Puzzle everything in DaVinci Resolve to make it as seamless as possible.- Upscale/Upframe with Wan2.2/DaVinci Resolve- Edit/Mask/FX/patchwork in Blender/DaVinci Resolve to improve/refine/hide/modify the things hard to manage otherwise. On that matter I want to give a big thanks and shout-out to IchibanFutsuJin (https://civitai.com/user/IchibanFutsuJin/posts) we share a lot of helpful technical knowledge with each other and he does some of the most creative and amazing uses of these tools I've seen so far 😍. Definitely go check his work! In any case I hope you appreciated this little comeback of Lara Croft and I wish you a great Halloween ^^! Take care 😊💚

A Smiling Friends Parody of the 2nd Higurashi anime opening? Why not!

With how much 2000s internet/web nostalgia Smiling friends references in their episodes, I thought it might be fun to pay a homage to the 2009-era of anime opening parodies! I remember the Higurashi, Naruto, and Death Note openings were especially pretty popular for other media parodies! As a 14 year old in 2009, I remember always thinking it would be a lot of fun to make one, but I didn't have the drawing ability or know-how to make one back then. Since Smiling Friends is still just starting off the third season (at the time of posting this) I figured why not give it a try now? So I did! It was fun and nostalgic! (Plus it gave me an excuse to practice a little animating again lol) My teenager self would be so proud of me for finally getting around to making my own silly "cartoon-as-anime" parody LMAO. I figured anime opening parodies usually work pretty well here on NG, so I wanted to share it here too! Here's some animation process stuff for the fun of it too! Always a good idea to show your work. (No particular order, obviously) ALSO! before I forget, this is also on YOUTUBE! :] Ok that's all for now! :] Original Higurashi Opening HERE!

The series finale to the Sonic Sprite series, Chaos War.

Been a very long time. Newgrounds isn't something I keep up with, but for completeness sake I figured I'd upload the finale here as well. The series finale to my long running Sonic Flash animation is finally finished. What's next for me, who knows. Maybe I'll still do animation from time to time. But, after doing this for 15 years I think it's time for a break. For anyone who cares about this humble little series, thanks for your viewership and sticking around this long. For others whose sprite animation isn't their thing, thanks for stopping by anyway. Credits for characters would fill way too much of this space! Hello! I'm TheLifeConqueror! But you can call me Toady. I make animations on Scratch, YouTube, NewGrounds, and probably some other places too! I started animating when I was 13 years old during the COVID-19 pandemic in March of 2020. I started off making animations on a website called Scratch and decided to start uploading my animations that I made on Scratch to other platforms like NewGrounds and YouTube. I even posted my oldest animations I made on Scratch even though they look like crap but only because so you guys could see how much I've improved throughout the years. I started making animations on March 28, 2020 and will continue to make them and improve on them! I actually don't know if this is a canon event because I just remember making this animation based on a forum I read online all the way back in 2020. So, please don't assume this is an actual canon event in the FNAF universe. This is just a fan animation. The Smokehouse Chronicles Animation Pitch

Credit to Jay Sean for that Down song. Totally not 4 kids. Show Pitch: A group of 5 (A Little Bong, a bag of Hash, a rolled-in Joint, a pack of Cr*ck, and a female Nicotine) live in a city where everything gets high in the air, but not literally. Once an unsold bong that sat neglected on a dusty shelf, then a framed criminal wrongly accused of a crime he did not commit, now a housemate, Bongo is one of the main protagonists in the show. Bongo's character is characterized by his laid-back demeanor, effortlessly radiating a sense of tranquility that grounds the chaos around him. Johnny Hash is not just an average bag of Hash; he exudes a palpable Gangster-like attitude that sets him apart from the rest. As the Second Main protagonist in the show, he brings a certain charisma and edge to the narrative, making his presence indispensable. Despite his tough exterior, Johnny Hash is not one to be without his vulnerabilities. Sometimes, his temper flares, especially when others start messing around with things that matter to him. Joint Jones, the anthropomorphic rolled-up blunt, is known for his witty and imaginative personality, which shines through in most situations. Despite his quick wit and charm, he often finds himself in situations where his clumsiness leads to comical mishaps. With a penchant for cracking jokes and coming up with creative solutions, he brightens the mood wherever he goes. Crackhead is depicted as a cube of Cocaine in the show, where he serves as one of the essential main characters alongside others. Known for his complex personality, he not only communicates fluently in English but impressively also speaks French, showcasing his diverse linguistic abilities. It is interesting to note that Crackhead has a peculiar trait - when his skin, resembling cocaine, is stimulated, he undergoes a state of madness, intensifying the storyline with his unpredictable behavior. Niconette, a 21-year-old female humanoid Nicotine, holds a significant role as the second main protagonist on the show. Her character exudes a charming blend of awkwardness and shyness, adding depth to her persona. Despite her endearing quirks, she was one time kicked out of her parents' home for doing Nicotine. This experience has shaped her resilience and desire for acceptance, leading her to find solace among her new housemates. Amidst her journey of self-discovery, Niconette finds herself drawn to Bongo, harboring a tender crush that adds a touch of romance to her intriguing storyline. The Smokehouse Chronicles is a stoner-based animated television show that airs on YouTube.

The Little Pencil Retold Season 1 Episode 4 - The Death Trap

Support me www.patreon.com/wafellmaker Well here we are; The STPPM finale. I had so so so much fun with this project. I'm Genuinely so happy with how the finale turned out. I will leave below another little diary entry about this episode. I understand my pipeline - release infrequency does not please the YouTube algorithm, and I know of strategies I could employ to better my odds. (making smaller, easier projects, animating trending topics, etc) I believe while these strategies would better my chances of getting my art out there, they would make me disappointed in myself as an artist. I've made the conscious decision to take the hard route to make me happy with what I'm doing, even if my work is less publicly 'successful.' Despite knowing all of this, it is still extremely disheartening to spend months and months on an episode, only to release it and see it gain zero traction. So disheartening that it actually had me seriously consider giving up on Super Turbo Power Punch MAXED after episode 2. I am so glad I didn't. I am so glad I finished this series. I believe it to be something truly special to me. But before I get ahead of myself, lets talk about episode 5. This chat may leak into topics across the whole series, as at the time of writing this I just watched the series as a whole, and feelings towards STPPM as a whole certainly are flowing. Kal's redesign was planned in the script. But I didn't actually have a plan for what I wanted him to look like when he became the Keeper of Radness. I waited until I got to Damian's death before modeling Kal. I really like Kals new design. The black belt caused me some headache, but I think the result was worth it. I really like a lot of the dialog between Kal and Korloc in this episode. It's a lot of high inspired confrontational silliness. Stuff I like to imagine Kal picked up across all of his movie watching both in the vision realm and over the course of his childhood. I watched a lot of Kung-fu movies as a child. Which of course was accompanied with all kinds of action movies of all way shapes and forms. Basically everything Jet Li, Fearless, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, The One, The Protector, Ong Bak, Matrix,. I could go on and on. Martial arts always attracted my interest as I am a huge action fan. My family means a great deal to me, and while I have always and continue to connect with different members of my family over different things, I spent a great portion of time watching these films with my Dad. My Dad was hugely involved in my childhood and is unquestionably the culprit in injecting an appreciation for kung fu movies into my life. (Hey what do you know, The effect you have on others, eh?) Anyways, kung fu movies hold a special place in my heart, and I thank my dad for that. The shot towards the end of Episode 4 of Kal and Damian watching Kung fu movies in the vision realm reminds me of those days with my dad. huddled in front of the family TV rewinding the VHS to watch the cool fight scene once more. A lot of Kal's kung fu is just him waving his hands around. As though all he did was perceive kung fu fights through TV rather than being trained seriously. Because that's exactly what he did. There was a time when I was a kid I used to think I could be a master just by watching TV. But after just 10 minutes of jumping around doing kung fu in the backyard, it was always easier to just go inside to watch more kung fu and daydream, much like my fellow enthusiast Kal. Kal takes his 'training' much more seriously than I ever did. But the inspiration for his character was a hyper-dramatic version of my younger self. A caricature of the 'I watch kung fu movies I know what im doing' type. The fact we did not see the lessons Kal learned in the movies directly was perhaps a strange choice for the story. It was however a conscious decision for the overall message and theme. We learn from the influences around us. Of those influences, it's our jobs as people to filter and deduce what is worth passing on to others, and what we can let go of. With this in mind, it doesn't matter what specific influences did what to Kal directly. Kal made the decision that of everything he's learned,. Being Rad is whats worth passing on. I feel I could talk all day about the nitty gritty but a lot of it is pretty self-explanatory as to what I was going for, so I leave it to you! I started writing a script for my next project back in August of 2024. I plan to start working on my new project very soon. But fear not, Another action packed story is coming. Thanks again everyone for your patience, and your loving support through my journey. I love you all dearly. What are you gonna leave behind?

Hey kids, it's your pal Princess Laucherella. It is Christmas once again, so naturally, that means the wise men and women of the Star Syndicate have returned bearing gifts. But instead of the king of kings, we're giving them to you stupid idiots. I really didn't know if this laptop could pull it off. My ex gave me this thing because they felt bad for me that my PS4 died. This thing has been on death's door from day 1. I didn't know if I could even animate on this, let alone edit. But seeing as I am, and have always been, Jesus's favorite troll, he sent a little of his birthday magic my way and the whole thing went off without a hitch. Everyone even sent me all their parts on time without any cajoling. And speaking from extensive and agonizing personal experience, that is surely nothing short of divine intervention. So, before I get another BSoD and have to start over writing these stupid comments again -- INTRO, OUTRO AND TITLECARDS bygod's own prototype MIGHTYDEIN PARTS byHRH LAUCHERELLA Eva Braun-Hitler McKuntz de la Roker I the Magnanimoushail to the king baby it's SEVENSTARTHREESTAR barbecue sauce mama jamaalleged foot fetishist CHATTERBOXSTARBERRY eater of things that look like diarrhea but probably aren'tlizard person but not a lizard person GHEY CARL WINSLOW The end is near! [Super Mario RPG] A retelling of the Star Road Warrior’s story in an animatic format.

The Star Road Warrior’s story retold in an animatic/motion comic format. SPOILER WARNING: This animation covers a lot of ground in the Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars storyline. Despite some of the original storyline being retold in a different light in this project, I recommend playing either the original game or the remake first if you want to avoid any potential Super Mario RPG spoilers. Frogfucius, also warns you at the beginning XD If you couldn't tell already, I'm a huge fan of the Mario RPGs, and PMTTYD and SMRPG: LotSS are two of my favorite Nintendo games. It's so exciting that these two RPGs were both remade and released within a year apart from each other (and M&L: Brothership later this year as well!). It’s wild that the Super Mario RPG remake was developed by Nintendo and Square Enix, which seems like an unlikely partnership nowadays! I can't believe these two remakes are still real! Be on the lookout for many hidden Mario RPG references - across the Super Mario PRG, Paper Mario, and Mario & Luigi series in the animatic. At the announcement of the Super Mario RPG Remake I started to work on this animatic. With my Donkey Kong animation nearing completion I decided to sideline that project for a little while and make DK the priority. Returning to this project every so often with my interest perked at more Mario RPG announcements, I decided to complete this in a more animatic-like format. For anyone unaware of the character Geno (or ♡ ♪ ! ?) from Super Mario RPG, he is a star spirit that inhabits a wooden doll owned by a young Toad boy, named Gaz. Geno has been sent from a “higher authority” to restore peace in Mario’s world. His purpose is essential to the Super Mario RPG storyline, and when fighting in battle he acts as a glass cannon (with high offense and low defense). In my opinion, he is one of the coolest and chillest Mario characters and he has only been on this one stand alone game (with a few notable references in other Nintendo games). Square (Square Enix nowadays) had previously described Geno having close resemblance to "Pinocchio" in a Nintendo Power article. This animatic is a little unorthodox and in some ways feels closer to a finished animation and in some ways not. It's more of a hybrid between a motion comic and an animatic, with some more heavily animated elements mixed in. I also wanted to give each character their own unique outline color, to make them all stand out from each other as well as background elements. The colored outline for the characters also represents life - which is most notable when the Geno doll is inhabited by the star spirit. It may be disappointing that this is not in full color and as of sharing this, I don’t plan to continue to build on this project, in an effort to pursue newer and different animation ideas. This project was not built at all with Adobe Animate (my typical animation tool), instead I had just used Adobe Photoshop and created animation through the use of layer comps. This style is mostly experimental and I don’t plan to continue in this format. Initially this process seemed to work quite well (when more story boarding the animatic), but when it came to animating sections the process felt a bit clunkier in my opinion, despite the ease to create some different line work and broader depth in shading the characters. This animatic also brings back my amateur voice acting and this surely tested out my range with a whole bunch of characters lol. I had a focus on trying to voice all of the characters and avoid the use of any voice clips from Mario games. It was fun trying to recreate some classic Mario voice impressions and at the same time create new voices for Geno, Mallow, Bowyer and other Super Mario RPG characters. (Patreon) ----- Creator Commentary -----This animation started as a little reward for patreon, but I extended the initial deadline and it proceeded to consume an entire month of work. I can't believe my dumbass thought I could squeeze 100+ hours into less than10 days XD. It still ended up pretty constrained for time in spots but I'm still pretty happy with a lot of the shots. There's definitely room for improvement and things I'd definitely do differently now, but that'll have to be for future projects. I can already tell I've improved a lot over the course of this animation alone and learned so many things. One thing I want to work on in the future is composition. I feel like a lot of the shots in this one are kind of similar and a bit flat at times. I want to mix it up and add a bit more depth and direction to the shots. I feel like it could've benefited from some extra small shots too like a proper establishing shot or replacing some of the reused shots with a different shot. The other big thing is consistency and staying "on model", I feel like I should've spent a little extra time revising Calico's design and developing her ref sheet to add more clarity to the size, shape, and positioning of all her markings and revising her design. I draw her so much cuter now, that's need to be reflected in her reference material! I did a little bit of pre-production and it certainly helped, but due to the initial time constraints of the project before I extended it, things got a little rushed in some of the initial shots and I was too far in to go back and redo them. I should've given the thumbnails for the shots some extra iterations, looked at the project as a whole, and how contiguous shots would look next to each other. Oh well, there's always next time! For larger projects in the future, I'm definitely going to slow down and give them the proper love, care, and time they need. I'm looking forward to working on more animations!
