Originally I wanted to make it around 45 seconds long, but after working on the story I found it just needed more shots and time for it to be shown properly. By the deadline i only had around 6 shots to finish, and after it there was no motivation to finish it quickly as there was no deadline in mind. Then even after I finished i could't put the music and video together on movie maker. Turns out it doesn't work on windows 10... then after downloading many trials of software to replace it they just don't work in some way or another. I finally resorted to going into school to do this, as movie maker actually works there. It was still fun though and worth it, despite many things going wrong.

Currently planning on doing every round of the jam.

Who keeps interrupting samurai cat's dinner?

Can't he eat sushi in peace? --- I've been meaning to participate in one of these summer animation contests, so here I am for Animation Jam 1: Loop. I made this character a few years ago when I heard the Epic Sax Guy song. The Hunt

My 15sec looper animation for Newground's 1st animation summer event (feel like a lollipop... before it transforms?!). Was gonna do an Irish or Scottish voice-over, but decided on British (due to the EU problems arising). And I know the sound is a wee bit scratchy, but I'm happy (mad rush to finish this hah).

D R U N K N U R D

My contribution to round 1 of the 2016 Summer Animation Jam.

SUMMER ANIMATION JAM
Round 1: LOOP Frames per Second: 24
Total Frames: 376
Loop Time: 15.6 seconds I wasn't exactly inspired to make this but I wanted to practice drawing doves and city skylines. The latter I feel like I didn't learn too much about. If I had knowledge on 3d animation this could have been very different, but alas. I animated my backgrounds in photoshop, which took a bit long to do, even though I used a very crude brush(which was a failed experiment). I would really like to do more inbetweens, especially where the camera moves to the bus stop. I've become sick though and I should really be sleeping instead of doing work right now. Anyway, actionscript gave me a bit of trouble with the looping music. Originally I was going to lower the speed of the song but it just didn't sound right to me in the end. With the original tempo, the animation would have been under 15 seconds so I had to come up with some solution. I really wanted to use this song in particular because it hints at an underlying backstory. Looking back now, I think I could have done a whole lot more, frame-by-frame wise. I assume the still shots will drastically affect my score in the long run, oh well. Anyway, enough of this boring bullshit. Did I mention I've been sick for the last 2 days? I'm going back to bed. Tragic )':

SAJ2016: Mary's Paradise

Our animation for the Summer Animation Jam Round 1: Loops. A special thanks to whirlguy for making it look so damn amazing with his color and backgrounds. This would be crap without him. A special thanks to shoz for creating the music to inspire this animation. And a special thanks to freakinbehemoth for handing the boring bits I couldn't handle anymore.
