if cartoon characters realized they’re trapped inside a terrible cartoon?

A group of random characters suddenly become self-aware and realize they’re trapped inside a cartoon created by an artist who isn’t very good at drawing… but dreams of making millions from his own animated series. Now they’re forced to keep the story moving, survive increasingly absurd adventures, and deal with whatever ridiculous ideas their creator comes up with next. After all… if there’s no story, there’s no show.

Erjansk is an upcoming horror indie animated show with no budget

Erjansk is an upcoming indie animated show with no budget, but a passionate team of small, talented creators. It is a stop-motion horror comedy mixed with 3D, 2D and live-action elements. 🩸Support the show and its creator:https://buymeacoffee.com/victoransxd Done as part of my Master's degree thesis film at Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology, Faculty of New Media Arts, Graphics, Multimedia Communication in February, 2026 Upcoming Pilot’s description:A man seeks stability in an announcement board with job offers and ends up discovering something seemingly too good to be true. This leads to him finding out the real lengths he needs to take in order earn the pay: “At The Meatgrinders’“ cook vacancy interview requires him to cook meals that utilize “family” recipes to prove his culinary worth… easy enough? Show premise:The story of Erjansk is about consequence of unlimited power given to man and its capabilities. The city of Erjansk, roots of which lay in medieval ancient times, is now stuck in a soviet-like time period, where progress is punished and evolution had long been paused. The city, smelling of urine and rot - now a playground for beings with godlike abilities called The Other. They come in many forms, usually inspired by the mundane, twisted into something absurd and nightmarish to turn basic human experiences into hell. Human meat is just food, and the skin is no different to cloth or wallpaper. Human suffering is but a trial, a gateway to become just like them. They can wipe out all life but simply choose not to, for it would no longer bring amusement, and pain and suffering is the only thing left that allows them to truly grasp it. To the average erjan - every move may result in death, restarting of life cycle, and every daily activity may end up being their last. Welcome to Erjansk, where every episode is a new experience, location and character filled with absurdity, horror and dread. 🥩 OPENING SCENE CREDITS:🩸 Directed, Written & Edited | Victorans XD:https://www.youtube.com/@VictoransXDhttps://www.instagram.com/victorans_xdhttps://www.victoransxd.newgrounds.comhttps://www.tiktok.com/@victorans_xd 🩸 Stop-Motion Animation &
