Here's the final of my short horror series! Surprisingly, it only took two weeks to complete, but I like the visuals here more than in the first part. I'll be very interested to read your comments after the video is released! Also I have a Google drive version for any case. Honestly, I didn't expect the first part to get over 25k views. Thanks to everyone who watched and commented! But I was honestly surprised by so many comments who saying that BF being "misunderstood" in this story, despite his actions. I understand he's practically Jesus-like in the fandom, otherwise I can't explain that reaction lol. FNF as a social horror - Episode (2/2)

(Warning: Loud/harsh sounds in video) Have you ever found the love between GF and BF weird? A rapper dude appears out of nowhere, and a very passive girl falls in blind love. We know little about them, especially as a couple. This short video series aims to tell almost the same story, but from a completely different perspective. This work was made back in February, but only in May I finally have free time to do the first part...pheeew thank y'all for waiting! Music used: 1.Disclaimer sound: Криминальная Россия - Повествование2. Rick Astley - Together Forever (midi cover by "The Musician") Both of them are not copirated in YT system, so I really dunno should I change it. All sounds/ambient was taken from free resources and also from PIXABAY

fan animation of The Moon Cave by Gorillaz

Since I can't upload it with licensed music, this animation has a crappy little midi cover I made of The Moon Cave by Gorillaz playing over it. If you want to see it synced up with the actual song you can find it on my youtube channel (linked on my profile)! I love the new Gorillaz album, so I made a fan animation of their hype music video (:

We who also love brilliance know too that no one may receive brilliance all at once.

Previously considered lost media, the intro sequence for Tempered Brilliance was recently restored as a part of collaborative research efforts into early KISHAR system software.Tempered Brilliance is notable for being one of the first ontologically stable commercial softwares available for KISHAR. Unfortunately, due to the experimental nature of the system at the time, software was fragile and expected to be restored from physical backup regularly. While hypothetical storage obviates this need today, many unshelled KISHAR databases were lost in the earthquakes common at the time, and most early KISHAR software was lost as a result of over-reliance on these databases. " There once was an angel who fell down from heaven......or was it a devil who had escaped hell?...I can hardly remember anymore. It came to an island where a long forgotten god lay dormant beneath the mountain. The people of the island, in their hubris, had built a monument to the moon. The monument shone night and day so that the people might never fall under the mountain's shadow."Why do you forget the mountain?" the angel inquired."We wish to sing and dance, night and day, under the brilliance of the sun and the moon!" the island's people replied.Thinking to help the people in their desire for brilliance, the angel turned the island to the south, where the midday sun could shine on the people now unobscured by the mountain. The people had lived on the island for generations, and only the eldest among them could say why they had fled there - though they would never speak of it.Seeing the sun rise on the wrong side of the island, however, the eldest among the island's people quickly fled into the mountain's caves. All the while, the people continued to dance and sing to their monument. The sun continued its ascent. As the sun reached its zenith, the eldest looked down from the caves and saw what had become of their people. The angel, hearing the silence, looked around in confusion."Surely those who worship the moon and the sun must bear their wisdom," it said."Surely those who seek eternal brilliance are prepared to receive all of it!"The eldest and last of the people, for the first time in generations, opened their mouths to reply to the angel:"We who first fled to the island once again are what remain of our people, who in our time did also seek brilliance eternal.""We who value freedom above all else vowed silence, so that those blinded by brilliance might not be chained by our words.""We who also love brilliance, but are not blinded by it, know too that no one may receive brilliance all at once.""In our wisdom we traveled by night until we found this island, whose mountain would allow us all but the sun's greatest brilliance at its zenith.""We will never know eternal brilliance by our eyes, but we have come to know it over the eternal comings and goings of its gentle rise and set.""So it is that we came to love the mountain, for in its shade we received eternal brilliance."The angel turned away, not understanding; The eldest and last of the island's people seemed content in their fate, however, so with satisfaction the angel left the island and continued on its journey. Check out the menu in the Audio Portal too! https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/885707 The original description is on the YouTube upload, and I don't think it's a good idea to put it here because I can go explain something more technical on NG. Most of you guys are into art and games anyway. Nevertheless, if you wish to read that desc, here it is. https://youtu.be/AWpwynvGmXA This is the result of months of design and design and design, and, on top of them all, implement. Following the first paragraph of the end note in the video, I spent most of the work hours figuring out what to store in the object and what to be sent through MIDI messages. I used MIDI notes as a cue for transitions in the visualizer (middle part) overlay transitions, as well as the end screen. Once the whole bunch of expressions is set up in After Effects, it's much easier to control the transitions straight from FL Studio than manually animating it in AE. Other than that, the MIDI message can give a precise timestamp. At least, it's more precise than something relative to frame rate like keyframes. Even the beat count thing is made from MIDI notes. Actually, I also make a slightly stronger pulse on the word 'Beat' in the layout to indicate which beat is a bar. That's from the pitch value of each note. The most bothersome part of the layout is that there are actually 2 transition types in there: lower part only, and full transition. The latter is for the menu logo and the transition before the end screen kicks in. Combined with the lack of proper proxy comps in AE (I mean, the way to tell AE which comp to display in one place. Something aside from copying the same opacity expression to every layer), all of that reeks many corner cases. Add an ability to add more transition animations in the future (it's a template, after all) as a cherry on top and...Boom, yo, gahh. TL;DR: It's not really that hard, but it's frustrating trying to make an After Effects project a program. It's not like AE was made for that kind of thing, though. Wanna continue writing about the design put into this thing, but the desc is already going essay, so...a news post, perhaps? The details on the texture can be seen in the wallpaper. Feel free to check it out at the art portal. https://www.newgrounds.com/art/view/noisysundae/motivation
