The first episode of the Super Mario Bros. Z reboot!

[Update] Thanks very much for the front page feature! [/Update] Follow me on Twitter: https://twitter.com/AlvinSMBZ Also check out my Youtube account: https://www.youtube.com/c/MarkHaynesAlvinEarthworm Greetings and a belated happy new year to you all. It's been a long time coming, but the first episode of the Super Mario Bros. Z reboot is finally here. I did want to release it sooner, but life tends to get in the way at times. I can't believe it has almost been a whole decade since I started work on this series. For those who are familiar with the original version, this episode combines the events of the first two episodes. I had always intended for them to be one whole episode, but due to technological limitations at the time, I had to split them up.Fast forward 10 years and now I was finally able to create the episode like I had always truly envisioned. Now with much better quality across the board. My Youtube account will be my main profile for uploading these new episodes. But I figured I would also upload them to Newgrounds since this is the site where I first made a name in the animation community. I'm hoping to give the rest of the series the same treatment. But for now, please enjoy the first episode of the reboot. Thanks to everyone for your support and patience.

Super Mario Bros. Z (Episode 1)

Following the explosion, the underground facility still drew breath.

EDIT 9/26 - I noticed in the reviews that many of you are requesting the music in this animation. Unfortunately, these two tracks were not publicly released by tomfitz, the guy who made them. I also have not been in touch with him since he gave these to me (he may be dead, for all I know). If you really want the music badly, you can download this movie and decompile it. Additionally, Rebooting the Madness 2 is laden with easter eggs. Before his first fight scene, Professor Dordum is visible in each and every clip at least once. Can you spot each of his appearances? (Hint: A couple may require you to zoom in) EDIT 9/22 - Fixed some minor issues in the animation (some stuff was off a couple frames). Go and enjoy! **SUBMIT TO MADNESS DAY COLLECTION** After Rebooting the Madness, I immediately began creating graphics and plot for a sequel that I had in mind. Tomfitz even gave me a few tracks to use. These all remained shelved until earlier this year when I decided to begin work on the sequel. Although this movie contains much more content than the prequel, I had planned on making this much longer. The .fla contains many unused graphics and one unused track that I simply did not have time to include. In my defense, I worked on this 3 months collectively. Not a smart move, but this is easily my most quickly-produced Madness toon to date. But, ultimately, it's up to you to decide. Have a Happy Madness Day and enjoy!

Rebooting the Madness 2

Alpha-Nuva returns to the world of Madness.

EDIT 9/24: Thanks for the awesome reviews and the Daily 4th guys! And thanks to Tom for the frontpage. Really satisfied with how this all turned out. **Please Submit to Madness Collection** Worked 4-5 months on this. Probably one of the fastest toons I've whipped out. Enjoy. **SPOILER WARNING**:
Murkier trivia about movie:
-Red syringes causes chemical alterations (mutations).
-Green syringes reverse mutations and revive.
-The crab-beast was a mutated agent killed behind the glass.
-The plant creature was the agent with white glasses who kept returning.
-Red glasses signify weak agents.
-Green glasses signify moderate agents and have the ability to give the wearer nightvision.
-Black glasses signify advanced agents. These agents have permission to seal off doors.
-Yellow glasses signify elite agents and have the ability to manipulate any agent of lower status.
-Orange glasses signify prison guards and have the ability to give the wearer enhanced strength.
-The prisoner shot the agent with the yellow glasses because he manipulated him.
-The agent who allies with the protagonist only joins him because he threatened him.
-The protagonist's mission was to save the prisoner and blow up the facility. He knew he was a time bomb and he knew he was going to die at the end.
-There were 71 kills overall.
-There will be a sequel. I also have a character sheet located here: http://alpha-nuva.newgrou nds.com/news/post/520648
