The cake part 2

It's all about taking in the scenery and discussing the important topics in life.

YouTube

We're Called Humans Here

This is my first take at making a short film with flash.

"The story is as fallowed, the "frog dude" is lazy as hell and is dealing with smoking, knowing that he does this often his friends tell him to stop be he doesn't give a crap, eventually he runs out of smoke and just sits there miserable. Then his friend the "plant guy" gives him a drink and tells him to meet outside where they just stand outside and enjoy the scenery." I made this about a year ago, Thought I could try to be creative or original at least. Hope you guys liked it there will be more content coming soon.

That Fricken Frog

Little animation to get back into the groove of things!

Sleepy Waves

This one is made all in 3D, except the character - Everything in Blender!

All made in Blender.See more of my work at <a href="http://https" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">jacobhalton.com</a>

Year of the Dragon - 3D

Timothy goes on one hell of an adventure!

This is just a little experiment I made to see if I could make custom scenery with custom palettes and animate actors with actor fonts, this is the result also this is to tom fulpycunt, DO NOT TAKE THIS DOWN!!!!! I've spent several days working on this... seriously.... I don't want to go through the damn effort in replacing the music lol.. but just incase it DOES go down, You can watch it either on <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FhjpGJK2XeE" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">YouTube</a> or <a href="https://leopard.hosting.pecon.us/dl/ewsxa/coolworld-kewl.zip" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Downloading it's .vmm file</a> btw this is where the <a href="https://www.newgrounds.com/art/view/autismboy1/lol-elvis">'lol elvis'</a> thing came from

Cool World

Animation made in the style of the Pico School flash game

The background music was made by me, the scenery and characters as well. You could say that this is a test video, if it gets approval or people like it, maybe I'll put more effort into it. The story is simple, it's about Pico's brother wanting to save the world that is going to be dominated by Penilian robots. However, they don't believe in Yerik as Yerik has always sought attention, I will probably give the plot more depth later. (Sorry if Pico or a Pico School character is not listed here, I will probably add them later, as I said, this is a test version)

Pico's brother? Yeah!

cartoonsmart tutorial on Animated Landscapes

Abstract:After Christmas Eve and the family went home I decided to look up some tutorials to help job my memory on Flash I came across <a href="https://www.youtube.com/@cartoonsmart" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">cartoonsmart's</a> tutorial on <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-qNPleVv1s&amp;list=PL96AA4040D4FE8A18&amp;index=2" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Animated Landscapes # - Adobe Flash Animation Tutorial</a>. The tutorial goes over the usual timeline and motion tweening with the usage of converting symbols to MovieClips. However what caught my attention was the use of <a href="https://www.geeksforgeeks.org/how-to-use-masking-in-adobe-flash/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">masks</a> and effects for waterfalls, fire, and particles to make the still JPEG more animated. I've completely forgotten how to use <a href="https://www.geeksforgeeks.org/how-to-use-masking-in-adobe-flash/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">masks</a> and a lot of advanced stuff mentioned in this tutorial so this was an excellent refresher. Not only that but the Flash Player this tutorial was made for was v9 so its definitely Ruffle Compatible. If your impressed with the given example I would recommend everyone to checkout <a href="https://www.youtube.com/@cartoonsmart" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">cartoonsmart's</a> channel and his newer stuff. When I went to publish it the Flash Player 11 really struggled to reach the designated 30FPS, for the most part it only reached 14 FPS. The animation looked choppy and rough. Even when I set the FPS to 120 the entire scene just really struggled to render. Flash Player 32 (release ver 32, not 32 bit) had the exact same issues. On the other hand, Ruffle rendered and played the entire scene flawlessly. No matter the framerate I set the stage to Ruffle managed to outperform all of the native Flash Players and run at the desired FPS. With confidence I can say this example runs on Ruffle better than the native Flash Player. Still not back home yet, merry christmas everyone! Controls: <ul><li>None</li></ul> Bugs:<ol>
<li>None</li>
<li>EDIT (5:41pm): I think I found a memory leak in Ruffle? After inputting the data for Ruffle (Windows port, Nightly 2023-11-29) the Ram is now 386.8MB and is continuing to rise. Ill leave this running for a while to see what happens to the ram (Please god please let this be an issue with Rust so I can indulge my confirmation biases)</li>
<li>EDIT (6:10pm): 397.1MB Usage, had it minimized and the ram usage never changed, put it to the foreground and it started going back up</li>
<li>EDIT (6:04pm): 398.1 MB</li>
<li>EDIT (6:12pm): 401.2 MB</li>
<li>EDIT (6:24pm): 401.2 MB, looks like its not moving anymore</li>
<li>EDIT (6:24pm): 417.6 MB, I tried replicating by spam minimizing and reopening the window, the ram immediately spiked to where it is now.</li>
<li>EDIT (6:35pm): 422.5 MB, spam minimized the window a few more times (5 more times). The ram has gone up at a higher rate then the last half in barely a minute.</li>

On July 2021, I chose to participate in what was supposed to be an anniversary tribute to Wander Over Yonder. 'The Greatest' was the target episode to showcase our love and support for the animated show- which stopped after Season 2.Sadly the project was suddenly cancelled, but figured I'd showcase the scenes I did. (WARNING: Low volume!)Scene 89 I wanted to see how it would look better from the floor's perspective as it zooms closer to the throne RATHER than a panoramic scroll from the bottom to the top of the throne room scene. The background scenery dancing along to the song was so much fun to time- especially when I was still learning on keyframes. As for the white-out transition, my CSP application has had trouble with exporting [with so much going on] in the past; I had to split the scene in two to mash them together properly.
