Cursed Skulls | Episode 1

Papyrus tries to tell a joke...it does not go well

I, um...I am not sure what to say here, actually X'D Like, I am drowning in work - this includes having to do a literary course, which has turned my brain into mash potatoes by the end of the day. Got a few commissions I need to work on. Working on a massive project for Madness Day and some arties for Robot Day. Dealing with health being super inconvenient at the moment. And I decide...let's make a random animation, because I happened upon a video where the comments were FILLED with people saying how perfect it would be for Sans and Papyrus...and they were right XD I know there isn't much (any) Undertale fan art really on my page, but I am a huge fan of the series. I even drew a comic for it years ago (but it is really badly drawn and I dunno if it'll ever see the light of day). The skelly-bros were always my favorite because I love to draw skeletons. So this was fun XD I have to say, it has been a LONG while since I last animated something even remotely like this, and I have really been working harder to add more actual...animation to it XD You have to understand...I use freakin' WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER to make my animations because I am dumb. So this process is 100% more complicated than it needs to be. So I am grateful actual limbs are moving in this one. Took two days to make. Hope you guys enjoy! Based on this video right here: Skull Boy Tells a Joke (The Real One)

Altheron attempts a classic Speak with Dead spell on the remains of Murg the Sour.

What happens when you combine a traumatized wizard, a narcissistic noble, a greedy rogue, and a sarcastic talking skull? You get the most disastrous ritual in the history of 3D indie animation. In this episode of Heroic Quests, Altheron attempts a classic Speak with Dead spell on the remains of Murg the Sour. But in the world of high-stakes fantasy animation, nothing ever goes as planned. From magical glitches to a screaming demonic seal that requires "affective calming," our heroes find themselves in a race against time and sanity.

This is an animated short based on a fan art comic I made in the early 2000s. I was speculating on how the Pain elemental would gain the ability to spit lost souls, then I noticed there were these skulls and heads impaled on poles, and could be spotted in some levels of the game. The original sprites were gorier, so for this animation I drew clean skulls instead. I’m not updated on the current game lore, so I don’t know if an official explanation for his abilities has been added yet.--------------------------------------------About the animation: It took me more than expected...I was working it by bits during “free time”,I learned a lot!Planning and setting the scenes was easy, it was the inbetweening and clean up process that ate up most of the time X_X, so much that I constantly delayed the video release...and I did cut a lot of corners X_X. I’m not quite satisfied with the flames on the lost souls... I’ll consider new techniques for future animations. I used Clip Studio, Videopad, BlastFX, Audacity,PD howler was used for the creation of some of the mountains, other bits of the background are actual photos of mountains and clouds, and I also drew and painted some of the sky and the floor traditionally with colored pencil and gouache.I used some sound effects from the original game, I used some of the clips to convey the demons’ different emotions (even though they weren’t lore accurate and were originally assigned to different demons) I edited the speed on some of them for extra comedic effects, and some others were made by me (the white noise for “the Mars ambience” which is just a recording of a spinning fan in slow motion, the cracking of the skulls which are originally pecans being crushed, wheezing and sputter sounds, and a frog squishy toy) I crammed as much as I could, and I still have a lot to learn XD. Hopefully it’s a watchable story for you!

An episode to conmemorate this November 2nd's Dia de Muertos (Day of the Death) tradition

NEWGROUNDS ANIME SHORTS IS FINALLY BACKMan, college has sure made me busier this year omg, luckily I got to make this episode for you guys! Every November 2nd in Mexico, we celebrate Day of the Death, a day to celebrate our beloved saint souls who have left this world and went to another life, and we make altars and give it offerings, such as Death Bread or Pan de Muerto, shredded paper with skeletons in it known as catrines or catrinas, sugar skulls, candles and specially some cempasúchil flowers in it, which is a very important and iconic flower for Mexico this month! Now for this short, me with my sister Godty (who voiced for Isaac here and helped me with the script of this episode) we imagined how would Isaac even be remembered after what he went through in the game, what if his parents actually miss him, for what I know they do, Isaac has been teleported into very strange worlds so, why not teleport him into a very peaceful place with cempasúchil petals as the floor, we gave a happy ending for him! Youtube Version

Skelly follows Sarah Kazner, an overworked designer whose life takes a strange turn.

“Closet Cases” follows Sarah Kazner, an overworked designer whose life takes a strange turn when she discovers a sarcastic skeleton living in her closet. As her world unravels, Sarah and Skelly form an unexpected bond that forces her to face the skeletons in her life — literally and figuratively.

Skelly: Closet Cases

This is the second episode of Roasted Meatloaf, originally made in 2019. This episode gets a bit bolder with the animation by doing walk cycles and other stuff like that, though at the same time it also relies quite a bit on reusing some of said animation. Like the previous episode, I animated this by drawing all the frames in GIMP and then screen-recording myself flipping through them in an image viewer. The joke at the end was inspired by Scratch user Dhilly, who, like thoyal in the previous episode, is given an acknowledgement in the credits. Also like thoyal, Dhilly will probably never see this, but oh well. Like the previous episode, while the animation and my voice acting are the same as they originally were, things such as some sound effects and the music were changed due to copyright/license concerns. Technically, the original music was from royalty-free sources, but there were still some potential licensing conflicts with other stuff, so I changed it to music with more lax licenses that still more or less capture the vibes that the original music did. Additionally, the skull kid character was originally voiced with a sound clip I got from somewhere else, but in this version is voiced by my six-year-old brother, who is credited under a pseudonym. Like the music, the original sound clip was technically under a royalty-free license, but it was a somewhat more restrictive license that potentially conflicted with some other stuff in this, so for this version I had it changed. Alternate versions with the original sound clip can be found in some other places, in which different sounds have been changed. Okay, that's all I have to say for now.

Skull & Bones: Intensive Therapy -T.W.A.R- (+18)

Been going through burnout this month, not really clicking with anything or having any ideas for animations. Had a random idea pop in my head the other day, "Paint Ash's tits to look like pumpkins/ghosts and call it Boo-bies." Also wanted to try getting a bit of a squish effect going, but physics be damned. I don't think I'll have anything else out this month, so Happy Halloween. I also finally got around to retopologizing the skull from earlier this month. If you want it it's available on the Newgrounds file dump as a blend file, free to use for whatever.
